League Information / General Managers / Wizards resign

I spoke to Bods a couple of weeks ago to let him know that I would finish out the current season with the Wiz but would not be returning next season to GM. I'm trying to trim down some of my online time and the SSBA was the logical choice, I've never really felt the league and I were a good match.
I'd like to thank Todd for tipping me off to this league when I was going through RBA withdrawl. And big thanks to PacersGM and Bods for all the work they put in to keeping things running smoothly 'round these parts, truly appreciated.
Good luck to y'all, and I'll see some of you around RBSL and DBSL. Enjoy the playoffs and the off-season. Cheers.
*somewhat related matter - you can remove m1ke from the GM waiting list, he's no longer looking for a sim basketball league (KingsGM and I are trying to hook him on the GLB football RPG). Thanks.

Hasn't been my franchise until this season, won't make them this year either, makes me 0-1. I point out your lack of championship success to illustrate the fact that you're clearly not as brilliant as you believe yourself to be. Until I've done some winning, I won't spend much time questioning peoples decisions. Neat idea eh?
According to you and the 3-4 replies to EVERY trade I've seen posted, nobody knows what they are doing but you. I can't think of the last time that I saw a trade go through without you demanding an explanation from one or both GM's, like somehow you're the most qualified person to assess the value another GM places on his player.
When was the last time that somebody made a deal you thought wasn't insane, highway robbery, collusion or fishy? You're not giving your opinion, you're screaming for attention, and it makes my head hurt in ways that I find difficult to describe.
I will, on occassion, voice my opinion on a trade. But most of the time I'm humble enough that I don't think I know all 28 other teams better than I know my own. I have enough trouble trying to get my team into the playoffs to worry about what the Pistons and Sixers are doing.
The only deals you've made this season have been 3-4 minor ones with the same team, Orlando Magic. How 'bout instead of spouting off everytime another GM makes a trade you put some effort into trying to make a move or two yourself. Or is it simply that you don't have the creativity or the stones to pull off a deal some people won't agree with?

i couldn't offer a pick, as you know, so since that was your main asking price I was out from the get-go But even if nobody else makes a bid, going for a bad trade isn't the answer either. btw, in the past 4 sims (didn't look back any further) there was ONE guy scoring 30+ pts against Rosow: Isiah. And i'd say there were 3 more guys getting the better of Evan, MJ, Blue Edwards and Mitch Richmond. So giving up a 2nd year player that can outplay anyone else just isn't wise IMO. But that's just that, MO ... btw, in the past 20 seasons (didn't look back any further) there were ZERO championships for the Celtics. And I'd say there were 28 other GM's I'd rather hear from. So giving out your unsolicited opinion 4-5 times per posted trade isn't wise IMO, but that's just that, MO...

Gola is signed by the Magic, they would have had to cut him to open a roster spot for O'Meara
And since i'm 100% sure somebody once again would have called it fishy if they drop someone that I pick up later on I asked them if they would trade him for a similar expiring.
(gosh i even checked that Gola had been signed more than 60 days ago - 70 in fact) to make sure this isn't a "waiting for ..." trade again)
The ONLY time I've seen someone accuse a GM of making a "fishy" deal, it was you...two days ago. Brilliant.

MRob started on my team, 2 seasons ago when he was better in most categories. I decided not to resign him since he has little value in terms of wins.
Since that time robinson has been in FA for the past 5 seasons. He's such a mediocre stiff nobody offers more than a 1yr deal to him since that's his only value: a big expiring.
Wooten alone has double the value of MRob. Career hig 32/21/12 blocks (!!!)
The pick makes this one fishy ...
So smart you posted it twice. Pretty sure there was an explaination for the draft pick...but nice job Angela Landsbury.
