Title: Iverson 5th in MVP voting
Post by: RaptorsGM on May 08, 2005, 05:05:07 PM
Bullshit, if you ask me. How does Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan get more votes?

agreed, Steve Nash and Shaq, MAYBE should have got more vots but I think if you put AI in the situation Nash is in he'd do better than Nash has but Shaq is just Shaq, nobody like him

I don't think AI could do what Nash has done. While Iverson is a great passer, he's not anywhere close to Nash.

And Iverson takes way too many shots to try to fit in on that team.

PJ Brown gets a vote? WTF? LOL. AI should have been higher in the voting.

1 or 2 more win, we could have been in the 2nd round, 1 or 2 more wins and AI gets the 3rd spot. how pathetic and absurd

Tim Duncan only missed 16 games.  He was a top 3 candidate IMO.

Iverson was a better choice than Dunkin'.

If Iverson would have won, I wouldn't have said it was a bad choice. And not just from being a Sixers fan. Nash made Amare and Marion better. Shaq made Wade better.

Nobody made Iverson better. Iverson carried us on his back all season.

Dunkin's so underrated it's not even funny.

Spurs nearly won 60 games.  Iverson won 43.  End of dicussion.

In games were Duncan wasn't injured, the spurs were 49-16.  That's a nearly .76 winning percent, or a 63 win season if healthy.

they only made him worse, if that's possible

Actually, for me, that's the beginning of the discussion. The San Antonio Spurs won 59 games. The Philadelphia Allen Iversons won 43.

Almost happened.  If it wasn't for David Robinson's freak injury.

Last MVP to win less than 47 games (besides the strike shortened season) was nearly 30 years ago.

Winning is a requirement.

BTW, the spurs sans Duncan aren't perfect.  Not with Rasho should barely be in a rotation.  Sixers aren't crap, even though that's commonly stated.  Iguodala, Dalembert, Korver, Thomas (and after him Webber) can all play.

Nuggets are going to win 60 games next year. They're going to be brutal.
