Title: Sim 12 discussion
Post by: CelticsGM on May 07, 2009, 08:30:29 AM
wow, what a blow to the #3 Cavs. Evan Rosow out 35 days, happening on day 119 !!!

also, the Sonics Danny Manning will miss almost the entire 1st round ... oops !
 :lol2:

Anyway, enjoy sim 12 ... and the playoffs will start tomorrow evening with games #1-3 in the first round.

I told my ex-player, Evan Rossow (a.k.a. my-should-have-been-starting-SG), to not play this play-offs and let us win it this year. JK.. Seriously, I think Cavs can still pull this one off. He still got like 3 20ppg players in his team.

Anyway, I'm really not confident going against the Nets, because they are kind of in a mean streak in the last ten games. I need to find a way to stop it, or else I'll get burned.

Happy enough with this season. Should have lots of cap space and a decent prospect at 11 or 12 in the draft.

well finally my team is getting some awards. Stan getting DOPY was expected... anything else would have been an insult. But orlando earing both defense and offense awards is really huge and sabonis should have been best PF but i still had him listed as C my bad sabs.
Thanks to TOM for running this season really smooth. Lets see if i can take advantage of a very good regular season.

what a great 8-2 season finish :)

Now if we pass rd1, i hope kings take down warriors, they blew us up in all 4 games this season.

Go Blazers !

Nice 4-1 sim to close off the season, but unfortunately were unable to make up any ground on the 4th place 76'ers - meaning it's looking bad for round one. Might have to do some DC mucking on that one....being underdogs, what the hell. Might shake it right the hell up....

And the Knicks played well, much to my chagrin, meaning only teenie lotto odds of moving up....another disappointment. 0-for-2 for 'Sim 12 Wishes'.

Nice to see (somewhat criticized 3rd pick) Marty Brunson pick up a ROY and take first all-rook team honours after a pair of ROTM's - he's got a bright future. Somewhat surprised to see second rounder Emmanuel Vaught make the 2nd all-rook team, but good on him. Byron Scott made all-league third team, which is well deserved in my mind: I kinda thought he got hosed last year.

Well, could not catch the Kings, so hmoecourt advantage is their's.
Jerod White won his first award ever, gaiig the player of the month award in the last month of the season.
He might be the best bargain not on a rookie contract in the league.

Lost all 4 games to the Kings this year, although my lineup is a bit different now, with Kyle Macy as my starting SG.
