Title: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: CelticsGM on March 22, 2009, 07:46:54 AM Hey guys,
Training camps have been simmed, and you can find the results on the ROSTER (or FA) pages. The PLAYER pages hold the old ratings, for your convenience ... The PRESEASON will kick off on MONDAY, then we continue with WEDNESDAY (Preseason 2) & FRIDAY (Reg season sim 1) sims. But PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: DCs have to be submitted until NOON on the sim day for the next few sims And now share your thoughts on FA & TC with us ... Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: CelticsGM on March 22, 2009, 07:52:51 AM and here's the links for the spreadsheet freaks:

btw, player profiles are not up. Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: NetsGM on March 22, 2009, 09:31:59 AM Glad to see that Martin Brunson had a big camp.... +1 IN, HAN and DEF....now an A defender and before ever playing a game....nice. Mark Wooten had a nice rebound camp himself, +1 IN and REB - handy.
Bullard gained abit IN, and looks like a potential offensive force - PS will tell. Small bits of positive movement from Moby, Conner McLeod and Steven Ostertag, but not overwhelming.....little bit from Twyman, but he still looks like a TO machine; little bit from Vaught, but he looks pretty disposable Big Ed and 'Spoon stayed the same....which is fine for now. Geiger stayed the same and stays stapled to the pine. Byron exchanged some REB for OUT....a fine tradeoff imo. Karl lost a bit on D....which is not so hot, but he'll still serve as a grotesquely overpriced bench scorer for now. Henry Saperstein dropped like a stone (-4) which is too bad....but he's still my backup lead guard at the moment - will use PS to see how impactful that all was. Kevin Edwards had a modest loss that I can live with. Overall, a pretty good stuff on the heels of Brunson's small explosion and no real killer outcomes. But it looks like Chuck Murray has become an intimidating force at the middle, defensively. Solid TC from my starting unit. I'm also like what I'm seeing from the kids.

Preseason, of course. My bad, you should never do sims in the back of the car coming home from holiday ... :-) Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: CelticsGM on March 22, 2009, 10:28:35 AM and about the player pages, i didn't upload those AFTER TC, thought the pre-TC player pages would remain.
didn't happen, so the post-tc player pages will follow this evening Have to talk to derek about this. Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: HawksGM on March 22, 2009, 11:48:06 AM Lionel Simmons had a good TC, increasing defense and rebounding. Sidney Green had a poor TC after getting is fat contract. Everyone else stayed pretty much the same, so nothing to really note here, just ready to get the season started.
Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: RaptorsGM on March 22, 2009, 08:34:43 PM Terrible Raptors TC. All those who didnt lose ratings had such high potential that them staying even is upsetting too.

All those who didnt lose ratings had such high potential that them staying even is upsetting too. wow, I have NEVER seen a TC before where a whole team improved just ONE rating. And while I wouldn't be too worried about Diddle, Artest going down that way is a real shocker ... Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: CelticsGM on March 23, 2009, 04:26:17 AM as for the Celtics, i guess TC was kind to us for once
I won't discuss like 32yr old guys. These TCs are of no relevance, you know what you get there already. My rookies did good, with Boone +1 (going up in vital categories like reb and def, but dropping to F+ handles ... hi Joakim ;-) ) and Simmons - finally an A pot guy thats really A pot. He officially gained "useful backup" status now. Wright didn't exactly impress the way i had hoped. Hakim was a plain disappointment. Had hoped to pencil him in for a starting role, but now it looks like he's another 2 TCs away. oh, and Ceballos is a useless jerk. As if we didn't know before ... :moon: Title: Re: Training camps discussion & Reg season start Post by: Str8westcoasta on March 27, 2009, 10:23:39 AM Reasonably happy.
MJ improved his outside to A- but lost defense to A- Macon is now a gun! Role players did a few things, DeWolf now looks like he will get minutes at: Rob DeWolf SF 24 6'6'' 216 C B B+ A- D+ B Kenny Barkley may be useful, now B- B C B C B |
