Not sure if the rules allow this. I know they don't on RealGM.

This is a small group of 29 members, I don't think it matters as much.

Wow. You're a dirty old man. And all the guys from Europe (Pacers, Knicks, Kings) all work, I think, so maybe they are older.

Dirty, that's for sure.

I'm still in better shape than all you young'ins though.  I'd mop you up on a basketball court ;)

Oh, you'd ruin me. I'm white, 5'10, with two broken knees, a bad back and a perma-sore elbow. I'm lucky I can catch a pass without falling apart. :)

Yeah, well my body's not in tip top shape anymore.  Tore my ACL playing football back in high school.  I can still play, but don't have near the elevation I used to (I'm 6'1".  At one point I could dunk a woman's ball.  Now I have trouble with a tennis ball).  But where it really degraded wasn't elevation, but stop and start cuts.

getting old sucks :)

Funny that we have to talk about how old our bodies are when I'm 18 going on 19, and your 23.

And I can barely touch the bottom of the backboard. Before I blew me knees out, I was a distance runner, so I didn't have much muscle. Had to keep lean, therefore I didn't pack a big jump. Now, I've gained alot of muscle, but still can't jump cause of the blown tires.

I play golf :)

the age doesn't mean shit. it's just the state of mind.

i'm 26, 6'4, and i can still dunk 360, behind the back and i can run all day long.

p.s. there is no way you can be old at 23. that's nonsense!

You can dunk 360 and behind the back...right. I had no idea JR Smith lived in Croatia.

it's uselles to argue about this one since i can't prove that to you. but it doesn't matter to me cause i know that's no lie and i can do that since i was 18 years old. you don't have to trust me, that's fine.

p.s. you think no one outside US can dunk behind back or 360?

hey Kings... I am living in Europe as well and I believe you. I know we have many good and spectacular players around.

About the age thing... I am probably GranDaddy here. I am 28, but I feel a lot younger. My entire life I played basketball, I've been snowboarding for 17 years... pretty hardcore, and now I play american football. Not to mention I play soccer often for fun and I am a phys ed teacher. So hey... no need to worry bout age... it is just a number. My body and my mind both feel years younger!

Definitely the coolest euro I've seen :)

Snowboarding's awesome.  Just wish I got to do it more often.  Living in Philly it's sometimes hard to get out of the city with my schedule.

you want to bet? hahaha...behind the back dunk is the easiest thing to do...ok, we have a deal. if i do that, you give me any player on your team for nothing and i give you tmac if i fail. ok?

p.s. but then again, you just might say that ain't me on the tape :?

that's why you don't brag about things on the internet.  It just comes off like showing off, because you can't prove it.

yea you are right but doing a 360  or behind dunk isn´t worth proving since i know about 10 guys who can do that.
i even played one time with a guy about 5´11´´ who could dunk with both hands passing the ball to himself of the backboard (still can´t believe i see that)
in a dunking competition a friend of mine did a dunk over a car (only the motor block, but it was creativ and nice to see)
i am playing now basketball for more than 10 yrs and i know something about what is possible or not. And in Croatia there are many people who play streetball. I think after soccer it is there most popular sport.

I'm old too: 25

I'm in pretty good shape. I messed up my ankle playing b-ball and had to get bone chips removed, so my ankle gets a little sore from time to time... That's my only 'oldness.'

The varsity lacrosse coach at my college (Univ. of Delaware) asked me to try out (I was pretty good in HS), but I was too busy smoking pot and listening to jam bands   .
I did play on the club team though, and we went to the club national championship (lost 9-8 to Ohio State). Glory days, haha

Living in philly right now, going to law school

I'm 20...I've also been playing bball my whole life...JazzGM and I were on the same high school team, I was the PG and he was the C...we probably had the best AA team in Pennsylvania prior to injuries...even after losing 4 key players we were probably top 5...I'm now playing at a JUCO in PA

Yea we go to college about 2 1/2 hours away but we are best friends and when he comes home we hang out, we went to the Nets/Magic game in Jersey a couple of weeks ago, neither team looked better than our beloved Sixers...I was a 6'3 PG and he's a 6'5 C, so we had a nice big lineup

It's cool that alot of you guys play basketball, I play for my Highschool team, we went to the Provincals last year but sucked pretty bad this year.  Our 2 best players moved to different schools, but it freed up alot more time for myself.  I'll be the first to admit I'm no the best defender, but I can shoot the lights out.

Kings GM, I believe you as well.  JR Smith made that dunk look harder than it really is.  Don't get me wrong, you need to be an athletic freak to do it, but I know a guy who can do that easily.

no you don't, trust me. it's just a matter of timeing and concentration. off course you must have a good vertical but still it ain't that hard. i know alot of volleyball players that can jump way better than me but they still can't even dunk! 360 is hard and you have to put alot of knowledge into it, but behind the back is just a joke...

So I had to get my vote in as long as I still fall into that 31-40 category. Oh wait, that's still a year away. But one thing I tell you, as soon as I have to check that 41-50 group, I'm in for a MAJOR depression. But it could be worse since I was told i'm NOT the elder statesman of our group here ...

Stopped playing basketball about 8 years ago - after playing briefly in the 2nd highest league in Austria, highlighted by exactly ONE dunk in a practice game throughout my career as a 6'1 PF (hey, we're talking Austrian basketball here). Work kept me too busy to practice regularly (which means at least 2-3 times a week to make any sense) and I stick to Volleyball, Tennis and Ultimate nowadays. And of course Skiing, where I'm still way better than about 99.9% of the US population, probably even anyone not named Bode.

And I feel right at home here, you guys are really a fun group to hang around with (albeit a bit young sometimes ... ;-) )
