I'm hoping there will be big chances to the Raptors team before this sim.

Anyway, no where but up from here.

I need to see how my team does this sim as is before making any more moves...although i do like a couple of the Raptors players :D

Luckily, only 4 games in that span, and one against the defending champs I already figured I would lose.. lol

"only" have 7 games this sim, and 4 of them are at home.  I'm expecting at the minimum 4-3, but hopefully 5-2.  Big away games @Clippers and @Raptors though.

and in this sim, they play 4 of 6 at home again...

Yeah.  They're 10-0 at home, 1-3 on the road.  Their record's a little inflated right now.  If they keep up this pace they'll be a 50 win team tho (41 home wins at 100%, 10 road wins at 25%).

Somehow, I think that undefeated at home might be a little optimistic... lol
Especially after Emeka comes to town...   :o

Oh no, of course they won't go undefeated.  I just said that's what they were on pace for.

They'll also probably end up winning more than 25% of their road games too.

That's all right....for our first game I will not have a starting sf (as well as my best perimeter defenders) with both George & Ginobili out.  In my last 4 games last sim I had Kittles & Kundla spending time at the sf position as well as sg.  A 6'5" sf scares a lot of teams.....

Hopefully I can survive a sim without losing another player to injury.  If I can pull out 3 victories in 7 games I will be happy.

This is the 5-8 Raptors we are talking about, that team on a 6 game losing streak.

Look for that to turn around.

Hey, I was dead wrong, and now have to eat crow for the rest of the season.

Honestly, I can't fathom how my team was this bad, bad enough to lose all 6 games last sim.


But after the potential changes today, we'd get a whole lot younger, so better outlook for the future.

Next year, I'm looking to contend. Young core+cap space.

Meh, I'm going to overreact, I know I am. But if I was to pull the potential trades, I would be waaaay younger, and would have for defense: A-,B+,A-,A-,B. Which is a bim improvement. And my starting 5 nexy year would have B,B,B,A,B potential.

Only 5 games in this sim. 3-2 is all I'm asking.

I do realize the home games advantage. Last season I played really bad on the road, so it remains to be seen if my team can do better now that they got a bit more experienced.

But our division will be interesting. As Nets GM said.. Clips wont be 100% at home, but neither will we be 25% on the road.

I will be happy going 3-3 tonight, though I hope for 4-2, meaning my home record will remain at 100%!  :D

Aaaand, everything just fell apart on the trade front, so now I have no working offers for Vince. Beautiful.

Meh, Boozer is better than Miller 10-fold, and then I have two 7'0 centers and no PF.

First of all, that's 2 days, not necessarily games.

second, that's how many days he has remaining.  So it means he'll be available 2 days into the future, not the total amount of time he'll missed.

No, when the injury occured it was probably a 9 day injury.  the site just wasn't updated until he was 7 days into the injury.

The site's only updated once every 10 days.

I have patience, but I don't have all night...  and i would have gone to sleep already had i known it would take this long, but bods said it would be done after the sixers game...  I guess i could be underestimating how long it takes to do these sims, and if thats the case i am sorry...  Once again, I'm just the kind of person that likes to be informed of things...

I think that frustrations is the last thing we need to feel about how dabods has done so far with this sim league.

Every diamond has its flaws, well dabods just missed one sim. WHich i think is not worth complaining. :D

My internet connection died last night.  Sorry for the delay.

And, frankly, I'm not too thrilled with complaining that things aren't done on time.  You ARE informed on things.  IMO I've done a better job keeping everyone informed than this league has ever seen.  And I don't say that because I have an ego, because I don't care about praise for this league.  I do it for fun.  But in the past you don't have a 12 page rules document.  You don't have a schedule laid out a year in advance.  You don't have detailed processes on how to do things.  You don't have commish's running the league on their webserver, using their own resources, using hard drive space and bandwidth that they fund themselves.  

I don't need praise for what I do.  But I do take exception to bitching.  I do everything in my power to keep everyone up to speed.  I pour a ton of effort into this project.  Sometimes, things will be out of control.  And I apologize for that.  There was no way for me to post last night saying it was delayed, or I would have.  The only way would have been for me to call WolvesGM and tell him to post, but at that time of night it wasn't appropriate.

I'm now running the sim.  I'm doing so from work, so I'm not sure when it will be done.  On a rare occasion they do have work for me to do, so I may not be able to get it all done without interruption.

Sorry to hear about the internet connection issue... My home computer exploded about 3 months ago, and I just recently got new one.. Immensely frustrating.

'Wolves haven't had their top 3 all healthy at the same time since day 2, I believe.

0-5 for the Hawks....I guess Tanner is important to my team, he's hurt for most of the next sim too....not gonna blow up like the Raptors wanted to though :wink:

Lost to both the Heat and Raptors though.  Blew a 4th quarter lead to the Heat.

Defense has been amazing, offense is sputtering.  I'll analyze it more later.

Raptors went from an 0-6 sim to a 6-0 sim.

boy.. can't wait to see the sim... but i'm happy not seeing SIM3 because I'll be having losses added onto my record with all these injuries..

Anyways, Pistons went 6-2(with only 1 home game)...  Very happy, but Turk is out 8 days, Terp is out 4...  One thing that is bothering me is Ferry continually racking up 5-6 fouls a game and is really hurting the team...  he is only averaging 30 minutes a game due to the fouls...  i am happy with getting nearly a point per minute from him, but it would be nice if he could play 35-40 minutes a game...

Awesome! I had a really nice sim, now with the 2nd highest win percentage in the league, and the Knicks are tied for the worst record in the league!  :D

Jake Tsakalidis really stepped in well at the PF position. .5 points per minute is a great for a guy who isn't close to being a main option...

Larry Hughes is playing a terrific all around game for me. He is comparing well to Kobe Bryant at this point...

It's fixed now.

My offense really sputtered.  91.1 ppg this sim, 42% shooting.  Only 18 assists to 14 turnovers per game.  That's not going to cut it.  Did shoot 38.6% from downtown though.

i block 9.7 shots per game compared to my opponents 3.4 :)

Defense was great.  Aside from the said 9.7 blocked shots/game, opponents only scored 90.5 ppg on 40.3% shooting, 35% from downtown.  

Emeka only 18 ppg on 42.2% shooting.  would like to see him pick that up.  and 50.6% from the foul line isn't acceptable.  11.3 rebounds, 2.9 blocks are superb though.

Pettit down to 21 ppg, 4.6 boards, 5.3 assists.  actually shot better from 3pt range (38.2%) than overall (37.3%).  Ouch.  did have a 2/1 assist to turnover ratio as a 2-guard.

Dalembert had some big games, and chipped in 11.5 pts, 9.8 boards and 3.6 blocks for the sim.

Daniels was great once again.  16.2 pts, 6.5 assists, 1.8 steals.

Ervin Johnson had some nice games in limited time off the bench.  Nice pickup.

Well, my quest to overtake the Mavs has just gone down the crapper.  

Looks like I'll be needing to overhaul my DC quite a bit now.  The good news is that Allen is only out for about 40 games before coming back for the final 20 games.  I should be able to tread water (staying about .500, hopefully) until he returns.

Congrats to Marcus Camby for nabbing POTW honors.  Team did well overall, beating the Clippers and Kings twice and losing a one-point game to the Nets in the Swamp.  

My Miller resigning turns out to be pretty advantageous, as Billups becomes the frontrunner to take over for Mr. Shuttlesworth.

Hmm 4-4.  I went with computer strategy, hought I'd give it a try but I don't think I'm going to go back with that.  You have no control over your team.

On the bright side I beat some very good teams, Clippers, Sixers, and the Jazz.  I lost by 2 to the Nets

My opoonents PPG was 82.17.

My PPG was 92.33.

Honestly, at the start of the season, I expected that my PPG would by about 105, and my oPPG would be 95-100.

Guess that was thrown out the window.

On the season, the 6 teams that I played are 27th, 21st, 4th, 10th, 29th and 22nd, so not ALL that impressive.

Hmm, maybe its because other than your big 3, your team SUCKS.  Try to build depth, cause you have none.  Nets rankings were based on the starting lineups only I believe.  While your starting lineup is good, your bench sucks so please stop complaining

How many games did you win last year?  48?  You don't have a team good enough to win more than 48 games.  Then to make matters worse you have Ricky Minard starting this year.

there are alots of teams with worthless bench and they still win.
