Title: Re: sim 11 done Post by: HawksGM on June 25, 2008, 09:07:28 AM The Heat and mine race for the 8th spot could come down to the last game, which we play each
other. I am 2.5 back and we play each other twice this last sim. I am not very optimistic as they have been playing consistent for a long time now. It will also determine whether the pick of their's I have is lottery or not. Title: Re: sim 11 done Post by: RaptorsGM on June 25, 2008, 09:38:20 AM Highly frusterating to playing so wildly inconsistent right before the playoffs. a 6-2 sim this time around with some wins over some very good teams. Looks like we will be heading to Indiana for an interesting first round matchup. Tied the season series 2-2 splitting games on the road and at home.
Title: Re: sim 11 done Post by: Str8westcoasta on June 25, 2008, 12:28:46 PM 4-1 sim for the Rockets
With tins over: Sonics Lakers Hornets Nuggets with the sole loss to the Clippers MJ and Grant continue to play very well together and Kellogg is finding new ways to impress me. Xavier Stockton also apperas to be much happier backing up the 3/4 spot... 2nd in the west now and top of the Mid-west. Hopefully we can upset some teams and make a lil playoff run...! Always the bridesmaid... Title: Re: sim 11 done Post by: CavsGM on June 25, 2008, 10:58:03 PM Too bad the Cavs are so f^*(UW@!! good. Always the bridesmaid... My pleasure... :) Yes, my team has been playing some superb ball. Best in franchise history, already tying the 62 we won in 2018 before going on to lose in the finals. Hopefully this year turns out better... 8) I'd also like to take this time to look back at the infamous trade involving Patrick Ewing...http://forums.ssbabasketball.com/index.php?topic=7958.0 (http://forums.ssbabasketball.com/index.php?topic=7958.0) The main swap was Ewing for Person, and it has clearly turned out for the best. Ewing is a very good player, no doubt, but Person is an absolute stud. He has the best overall offensive game in the league. His shooting percentages are ridiculous, he turns it over just two times per game, passes like a guard, and rebounds better than your average SF. Defense is his only weakness, which is a big one, but with my team, it's not problem. We lead the league at just 89 PPG allowed. I guess you could say "what could have been" when it comes to a Ewing/Robinson duo, but could the team have been better than it is now? I think not... |
