Title: sim 7 done
Post by: PacersGM on June 16, 2008, 01:16:53 AM
i can't get a break from the injury bug. after orlando regular season ending injury, dwight and shultz now my starting C stan went down and will be out of the lineup for another sim. with such a tough last sim it is a wonder that i still can play over .500.

I can't belive Chris Welp is averaging 15/15/3.3 since Gugliotta went down.
Newcomb, Gugliotta, now Welp. Amazing ...
When was the last season you did NOT find a future star big man ?

it's only 3 games and he faced the Magic and (cough, cough) defensive wiz Eric Wu twice (who by now we know for sure - as in 99.7% - that he is NO center), but still quite impressive

And what's most impressive: His CAREER HIGHS over 2.5 seasons are 19/16/5, so he AVERAGED close to that numbers now.

Satisfying 6-1 sim including a big win against the Pacers and 3-0 on the road; Timmy was down for four of these games and Adam down for a few others (and both down in the loss to the Cavs) - picked up well by Jolley Bagley.

Didn't give me too much of a chance to evaluate Hardaway at PG - his first two games were not too impressive, his last much better. Pryz didn't shoot so well, but was otherwise energized as an option: 18.6/13.4/5.1bpg. Zack Profit isn't finished either - put up 19.3/6.0 in just over 34mpg on good percentages. Cummings seemed content being pushed down the option ladder: rebounds were up this sim, and percentages solid. Nothing to special from Woot this sim at all - his horrid shooting year continues. Held opponents to 40% shooting again, and held a rebounding advantage in 6 of 7. Gotta learn to shoot ft's and tone down the TO's.

Imaging what your rebounding plus were if you take out the Celtics game.

My boys outrebounded the Nets by 13 in a 3pt road loss, mainly because cancer Natt shot 9-33.
Hardaway and Sharman both had lousy games.

Otherwise this was a bad sim going 2-3, even losing to the Bulls.
Better wipe that from memory very fast.
:-)
Congratulations to Sharman anyway for driving in his first career triple double (16/10/12) against the Bucks Adalberto Marquez.

I couldn't bring myself to mentionning how badly we got out-rebounded by the C's... make that Rick Mahorn - who turns into "Superman-on-the-Glass" every game against the Nets it seems. It was still a nice win for us  :D

well in a 3 games span against really weak inside comptetion many guys could do this. for example KJ avg. way over 30pts and 8ass in the games against my team this sim. especially if you consider that welp took the 3rd most shots while not even being a scoring option (pretty easy for an offense challenged team like mine).
we will see next sim if he can keep this pace or get back to his usual 9/10 and 2blks as a starter.

I just calculated that if you were +6.5 rpg for 7 games that makes roughly +45 reb, so excluding our game you were +58 reb for the other 6 games which is nearly +10rpg diff.

quite a difference

 :lmao:

yup, we had a +15 diff in rebounding this sim (and went 2-3)
for the season Celtics are #2 in diff behind the Hornets.

Following up a 2-5 sim with a 4-4 sim has me resting my finger on the panic button. Some tweaks are needed

Our DC changes worked out perfectly, moving Kerr to PG and Zeke to SG gaved us a perfect 5-0 sim. FG % went up, and wins came against PO teams....Clippers, Raps, Mavs, Celtics.... Kerr and Zeke were brilliant.

Pistons won 3 games!!!  We in double digit wins now...   Just happy to have more wins than a certain real life team from Philly(I believe they had 9)...  Divac keeps improving the averages every sim...  Had a nice game against Ralph Sampson:

Divac - 28 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl, 2 blk, 0 to's, 0 pf
Sampson - 17 pts, 11 reb, 0 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk, 7 to's, 3 pf
