getting rid of an (albeit expiring) stiff is great, but getting Dwight and Shultz some much needed "youth" is perfect. Awesome move.
Now could we PLEASE PLEASE get Jim Finley back on the team as starting C so we can finalize "PROJECT 180" ?

(no, not as in "180 degree turnaround" - tho I wouldn't rule that out after they've been contender recently - but as in 180 years of age starting ...)
 :lmao:

Ugh, crap - I meant your Pacers 2027 first when I PM'd you, not the Raps one, but I see that I didn't specify it the way I should have. Considering that a trade offer and acceptance to the commish via PM is an agreement, I guess I agree...

If I had my druthers, though, I'd prefer the Pacers pick, but I'll leave that to you....since this was really my error and I have a responsibility to be more careful  :bods:

Yeah, lol, I don't know what happened there....

And I accepted via PM, so I don't think this deal is holding anything up....maybe something in real life did, but I mean, sheesh, it's first thing on a weekend morning....not such a big deal is it?

Speaking of which, my sleep is still screwed right now  :bash:

don't worry, we've moved to daylight saving time today in europe, so we miss one hour of sleep too.

(unfortunately that also means bye bye to NBA games starting at midnight ... so bye bye live ticker)
:-(

@nets i would never have done the deal with my own pick. it is possible the last chance for my team to get a title with dwight and palacio and shultz might retire after this year as well.
@tom my team might be pretty old but i filled one of my biggest holes with this trade and also get extra shooting and passing which should open it inside even more for dwight. i will take that option every time over mark who didn?t fit into my system.

Yeah, and I didn't want to do it with the Raps pick either....but I goofed, accepted a deal that was less than what I hoped because I wasn't careful and will live.

Good luck with him.

Hopefully the Raps continue to muck around .500 or below and the pick ends up decent anyway....Aguire could still be a solid scoring option off the bench and remains useful as an expiring....and it will just mean that Manning gets more touches this year and a bit more responsibility.

I would be AMAZED / STUNNED / SHOCKED (pick one) if three 37yr old former stars could still play anywhere near their former AllStar level. EVERYone declined here sooner or later ... and 37 isn't later, it's last.

If 35yr old Palacios is the answer to make up for the decline then something is seriously wrong.

Hey, each of these guys (sans Butler probably) was either a great difference maker or a perfect role player ... but now they have no business getting out of the 2nd round, at best (= if all  stars are aligned perfectly)

:-)
