Title: finals done Post by: PacersGM on March 15, 2008, 08:51:45 AM not a good start into the series with a home loss. i did an ok job against mike and magic but collins and the 3pt shooting is too much to handle for my team. also shultz having a subpar performance isn?t helping either. i needed a monster game by sabonis in game 2 to get at least 1 win. with nuggets having now 2 more home games in a row, i am in big trouble. let?s see if i can something.

Title: Re: finals up Post by: BlazersGM on March 15, 2008, 09:01:44 AM Yeah, Pacers have lots of luck, something like Spurs in real life. Still i hope we'll have SSBA's 14th champion.

The guy just always seems to win even when you think he cant. Seems most Pacers series start off like this. Tight series so far, will watch with interest to see how it plays out.Title: Re: finals up Post by: WizardsGM on March 15, 2008, 12:45:23 PM looking at the boxes, Sabonis has been absolutely excellent at SF
Title: Re: finals up Post by: WizardsGM on March 15, 2008, 06:57:10 PM ugh this wait is killing me
Title: Re: finals done Post by: PacersGM on March 16, 2008, 05:13:12 AM we have a new champion. gratulation to the nuggets . i never found a way to stop collins and that dwight only played 1 game well in the last 4 didn?t help either. this might have been my last chance to get a title with the current team but on the other side i had 3 guys still on their rookie contract playing in my starting lineup and all showed their pot to be productive in this league. depending on a good TC Sabonis might be able to play the 3 full time next year

Title: Re: finals done Post by: WizardsGM on March 16, 2008, 06:50:56 AM WOOOOOOOOOO (now I can go back to sleep and really comment later)
Title: Re: finals done Post by: BlazersGM on March 16, 2008, 09:24:45 AM Congrats Nuggets, Pacers got out of luck this time, 4-3 wins were Pacers speciality, Nuggets finally broke the curse of playing game 7 vs Pacers :p
Title: Re: finals done Post by: SixersGM on March 16, 2008, 09:34:08 AM Congrats NuggetsGM! Job well done!
Title: Re: finals done Post by: NetsGM on March 16, 2008, 09:41:04 AM Congrats, Nuggz - well earned after alot of hard years for you. Congrats to Pacers as well, on yet another strong year. Now to see if Dwight and Bertram have had enough.
Title: Re: finals done Post by: HawksGM on March 16, 2008, 10:10:08 AM Congrats Nuggs, I'm glad you could give Big Mike that elusive title!!

Title: Re: finals done Post by: NetsGM on March 16, 2008, 10:54:22 AM I'm looking forward to retirees more than draft order... Certain players retiring could reshape how the entire off-season goes....I also just noticed that Tom just had some bad luck, with the Nuggets pick in his possession dropping 11 or so spots. Had that happen in another league - stinks. Title: Re: finals done Post by: WizardsGM on March 16, 2008, 11:36:20 AM Well I couldnt be more ecstatic, pulling out a game 7 win on the road vs the best game 7 team in recent memory.
Evans was MVP, but I think Collins was our MVP. He was far more dominant at SG than he was at SF, almost averaging a double double as a guard. Hopefully I have one more year with this starting 5, I hope Tyler doesnt retire. Stats from the finals: Tyler - 9.3/12.4/2.4/1.1/2.3 Borgmann - 7.4/7.6/1.3/1.6/4.3 Magic - 21.9/7.1/3.4/2.1/2.6to Collins - 30.4/8.7/2.3/1.6/2.1to Evans - 19.4/6.4/9.3/1.0/4.1to Title: Re: finals done Post by: MavsGM on March 16, 2008, 12:05:54 PM Congratz on the title.
Title: Re: finals done Post by: HornetsGM on March 16, 2008, 12:47:29 PM Congrats Nuggs, it was well deserved!
Title: Re: finals done Post by: HawksGM on March 16, 2008, 01:52:10 PM Yea, if Shultz and Howard retire, than Pacers could very well ruin some teams (ie Hawks) off-season because of the money he could have.
Title: Re: finals done Post by: GrizzliesGM on March 16, 2008, 01:55:00 PM Congratulations Nuggz!
Title: Re: finals done Post by: PacersGM on March 16, 2008, 02:10:06 PM  don?t worry they are still playing.

Even though my draft pick dropped ten spots now I am very happy for you. I think you earned that trophy for some time now, never leaving the course and never making panic moves. And of course I'm happy for Tyler finally getting the ring he deserves so badly. And now I go back to bed for the next 2 days ... :( Title: Re: finals done Post by: WizardsGM on March 16, 2008, 09:38:10 PM Thanks for all the well wishes. This is my 6th FBB championship, and marks the 3rd different league I have won in, so I am very excited about my success overall and glad I could finally breakthrough here.
With Tyler not retiring, it appears the guys want a crack at defending this bad boy :D Title: Re: finals done Post by: GoldenStateGM on March 16, 2008, 10:05:31 PM Congratulations!!!
Glad to see the title come back West! |
