Title: Nets: Pretty much set now, looking forward to S&T season Post by: NetsGM on March 12, 2008, 04:23:43 PM UPDATE:
I'm pretty much done for now. I've got a starting C, two guys fighting for backup minutes there, a SF, a PF coming in the draft, and the cap space I wanted.... But... Here is some advance notice that IF I have not signed one of the big three on day one of FA, I will be very willing to do sign and trades with my own free agents and any other out there. In these scenarios, I will of course be looking for expiring contracts and draft picks in 2027 or good young players on rookie contracts (I wouldn't ming 2026 ones that look like they have lotto potential.) So, if you have no cap room, but have some firsts to move and an expiring contract, I MAY be a good way for you to get some free agent talent. I may also be willing to trade for max-level talent if the right deal presents itself. I am sifting through the many, many PMs and replying right now to one and all.
To be fair to other GM's, I will probably give a day or so for teams to get in on the bidding before starting to pull the trigger. A non-playoff team is in the lead for Tobey. A couple of good offers on Worthy. An interesting one for Natt. Nothing on Milner yet - the one guy who can turn a team around most on his own - odd :screwy: Title: Re: Nets: Frustration Firesale Post by: NetsGM on March 14, 2008, 12:56:25 PM Quick update.
Am close to completing a deal on Milner and Tobey. Worthy is close to being moved. Natt is close to being moved. Koncak is still available. Last minute offers welcome. Actively looking to move Bennett Fuqua - despite my man-crush on him. Looking for a team who could offer someone in the 2mil salary range who would be useful (position doesn't matter - so long as they help) and who would be willing to split a TPE. This guy is consistently productive at any of three positions, on good teams, and has been holding strong during TC's. Title: Re: Nets: Frustration Firesale Over - but Nifty Parts Remain Post by: NetsGM on March 17, 2008, 11:55:10 PM Getting offers on Bennett. If you are interested in this bulldog, I'm interested in salary relief (i.e., buy a TPE), decent young prospects, future firsts....and get your offers in soon.
