Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: CelticsGM on March 05, 2008, 04:39:37 AM cool sim for the Celtics.
one of the toughest recently with 5 road games but still won twice away (including Nuggets !!) and finished 4-3, still 2 games up on the Raps for a playoffs sweep by the Nets. Barkley had his ups and downs, career high 30 against Mike Woodson/Spurs but also a 6pt stinker against Dailey in the loss in Toronto. But he's coming along. Let's see if we should increase the tempo a bit for next sim ... :) Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: CelticsGM on March 05, 2008, 04:40:13 AM oh, and my first went 2-5.
though for them, good for me. Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: SpursGM-old on March 05, 2008, 08:35:56 AM 3-5 sim...with injuries galore. Schmaltz went down in game 1 and is out for the season. Woodson went down right at the end of game 4. And Barkley went down near the end of game 5. So I finished the sim 1-2 with 3 starters (and my top 2 options) missing. And I get to start the next sim against the Mavs with those 3 guys missing...60 pts, 23 rebs and all 3 shooting 47.5% or better.
Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: HornetsGM on March 05, 2008, 09:04:28 AM 5-3. Couple of tough losses -- one to the Knicks by 2, and the other to the Nets by 1 (the last was a 5 point loss v. Bucks).
Set a team record for points scored against the Wiz with a 146-92 victory, where Kyle Macy also set our team record for 3-pointers made with 9. Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: Str8westcoasta on March 05, 2008, 11:17:12 AM WOOHOO!!!
6-1 for the Rockets! Moved into 4th place in the west with a 6 game winning streak. Homecourt would be a fantastic acheivement but that is still a long way off. However, in the season run in I play only 5 teams currently in a playoff spot, so it's there for the taking... Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: WizardsGM on March 05, 2008, 12:59:06 PM Dont know why Tom is excited about beating the Evans-less Nuggets, as it seems the rest of the league did that sim too. We went 2-5, but somehow beat the Nets (they should be absolutely livid with themselves). We could definitely fall to 8th before the end of the season, which is a big problem. In all honesty I wouldnt mind falling to 7th to play Portland and be on the opposite bracket as Dallas.
Gave Wallace a shot at running the offence, and he was awful; Crawford will start at PG next sim. Stats from the ugly sim: Tyler - 12.4/12.6/3.0/1.0/1.7 Borgmann - 10.3/8.3/0.9/1.1/3.0 Collins - 24.4/5.3/2.0/1.7/2.1to Magic - 19.7/7.0/4.6/1.9/2.3to Wallace - 7.4/3.4/5.9/2.1/3.7to (29min) Crawford - 5.3/1.6/4.1/1.3to (18min) Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: CelticsGM on March 05, 2008, 03:47:52 PM Dont know why Tom is excited about beating the Evans-less Nuggets ... a) I'm excited about every win. Every. I'm playing .500 ball and fighting for a playoff spot after all. So every win counts. b) You still have a good team. Better than mine at every single position. So this win is a good win too. c) I beat my pick higher in the rankings. Show me one team that wouldn't like that. And i'm sure you can make a splash in the playoffs. Look at the West, I don't see a single team that's as far above the rest as probably Nets, hornets and Pacers in the East. So let me enjoy my little success and don't worry about the Nuggets too much, you're doing great next season Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: BlazersGM on March 05, 2008, 04:00:58 PM Man things are tough without Jerome, but hopefully we can keep up the pace.
Title: Re: Sim 10 done Post by: NetsGM on March 05, 2008, 04:59:21 PM 5-3. Couple of tough losses -- one to the Knicks by 2, and the other to the Nets by 1 (the last was a 5 point loss v. Bucks). Beating the Hornets is always unexpected but nice. And the Wiz must be having a particularly tough year - we beat them by 52 a couple of sims back.Set a team record for points scored against the Wiz with a 146-92 victory, where Kyle Macy also set our team record for 3-pointers made with 9. Pretty happy with a 5-1 sim - only loss was to the Nuggz in Denver, we had three nice road wins against strong teams (NO - was a defensive grudgematch with neither team shooting above 40%, DET and MIA) and handled the Warriors quite easily at home. Tough atop the East with three teams playing above .700 ball. Jonny Contract had something of a coming out party, scoring in double digits FOUR times in the SAME sim  Had a nice balanced attack, with Tobey being 4th option, so that was nice. Plugging along well without Natt - which is nice. I think he will slide on to my bench when he gets back, and where he should be a real matchup problem for other backups. |
