Title: rd 2 up Post by: PacersGM on January 18, 2008, 01:17:57 AM took care of my homecourt and shortend my rotation. lost away because dwight was in foul troubles. so far i match up well with them.
west seems to be decided since nuggets and warriors are up 3-0. part 2 of round 2 will be simmed in 12 hours. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: NetsGM on January 18, 2008, 08:20:55 AM Hm...
Blew some opportunities, as I lost my games by 6 pts and 4 points. i took home court away, then gave it back the next day. IMO I'm playing over my head right now, but we'll see. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: HornetsGM on January 18, 2008, 08:56:54 AM looks like it's gonna be a nail-biter
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: WizardsGM on January 18, 2008, 09:53:24 AM Wow. I certainly never expected to be up 3-0 but I am ecstatic. Evans is averaging 30 points in the series and has led the team in scoring every game.
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: BucksGM on January 18, 2008, 09:54:39 AM similar to last round. blown out away and blow outs at home, although i took a lead into the 4th in Game 1.
Not much left for me to tweak either. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: HornetsGM on January 18, 2008, 10:58:03 AM nvm I'm dumb
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 18, 2008, 11:57:46 AM Well, I am pretty suprised at my 3-0 lead in the series with the Mavs...
Both teams are playing great offense... Key so far has been the Warriors 3 pt shooting currently at 52% for the series on 17 attempts per game. Darren Rice has been unbelievale in the playoffs so far. 20 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and 3 spg in the series with the Sonics... 19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, and 4.7 spg so far against the Mavs... Well above his season averages... And Rodney McCray has done exactly what I needed from him... 10 ppg and 10 rpg in 30mpg vs the Sonics... 12 pgg and 13 rpg in 29 mpg vbs the Mavs... Two young guys really stepping it up when the pressure is on... Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: MavsGM on January 18, 2008, 12:42:34 PM What a beating we are taking. Need to shake things up a little to save face. :lol2:
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: PacersGM on January 18, 2008, 02:35:24 PM well won game 4 thanks to a wonderful game by newcomb scoring 32points and had 19 rebounds.
but lost the next 2 because my guards had real troubles. took care in game 7 with only 4 TOs commited. next up ... PISTONS well sampson against dwight should be a great matchup. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: HornetsGM on January 18, 2008, 02:40:07 PM oh man, you hate to lose a series like this...
last three games: Pistons 94, HORNETS 92 Hornets 114, PISTONS 113 Pistons 94, HORNETS 92 Great series Pistons. I hope you beat the Pacers. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: NetsGM on January 18, 2008, 03:07:47 PM wow. I'm stunned.
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: NetsGM on January 18, 2008, 03:09:01 PM so, now the way this works is pacers sends his dc to hornets (and he's supposed to do that virtually right after he ran the last round, so that he sends it before I send in mine), then I send my DC to pacers?
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: PacersGM on January 18, 2008, 03:26:14 PM i have no problem to send it to you also. you know me and my team pretty well. good luck to you.
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: BucksGM on January 18, 2008, 03:50:17 PM Pacers and I were just sending each other our DCs. I had no problem with the honor system.
Good series Pacers. like the Celtics i still haven't cracked the ECF. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 18, 2008, 03:51:20 PM Great changes, Mavs...
Our game 4 went to a very exciting overtime, and was wone in the final seconds of the game... Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: MavsGM on January 18, 2008, 03:57:27 PM I went with a big lineup and it works for three quarters. :lol2: Wootten with another 20/20 game in the playoffs. Warriors just too much deep and fire power for us to handle but we should at least win a game, no excuse for that. :bash: Good luck rest of the way.
Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 18, 2008, 04:11:42 PM Thanks Mavs...
Ouch, my 3rd point guard is out for the rest of the playoffs... Looks like my 34 year old 6'8" 233lb SF will be playing some PG... :bounce: Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: SpursGM-old on January 18, 2008, 04:17:02 PM I haven't had much time...
I played the Nuggets well during the regular season and was surprised to go down 0-3. His backcourt is a killer but I usually offset that with rebounding and turnovers. I made major changes in my lineup and won games 4 & 5 before dropping game 6. And the key in game 6 was turnovers...I had twice as many as he did. I inserted Vranes to put defensive pressure on Magic at the SG spot which seemed to work somewhat. I also attacked at the SF & PF positions as I felt this was the Nuggets' defensive weakness. I am glad that my guys could make a series of it instead of rolling over after falling into the 0-3 hole. Congrats Nuggets. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: WizardsGM on January 18, 2008, 04:38:25 PM Thanks Spurs. Good GM/Coaching skills shown with your DC edit, gave me a scare winning games 4 and 5, and I squeeked out game 6 by 6 points.
I think the difference in the series was Borgmann stepping up defensively and on the glass. I know what I will get out of my backcourt and Collins, but I never know about my bigs, and he was huge (as the stats will show). Collins was kept in check, as was Magic, but Evans took over offensively, doing less distributing and more scoring. Stats from round 2 C: Kleine - 5.8/7.0/1.2/2.0/1.7 PF: Borgmann - 13.2/10.8/1.3/2.3/4.3 - rediculous defensive numbers, he also shot 51% SF: Collins - 18.5/3.0/2.8/45.7% SG: Magic - 17.8/5.3/5.5/1.5/40.8% PG: Evans - 26.3/5.0/7.0/2.2/52.5% subs Zollner - 10.0/6.5/0.3/1.3/2.3 Fuqua - 7.7/5.0 OKoren - 5.2/4.2/1.7/0.8 Look forward to the Warriors who should pose a great challenge. Collins vs George Johnson - the two meet after being traded for one another. Interesting side story. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: CelticsGM on January 18, 2008, 04:45:53 PM YEA !!!
Thank god bods prevailed. Now I feel a LOT better, knowing my loss did at least come for a reason. (and that's not beating on the poor Hornets, that was a great great series, but Samspon's on a mission, apparently) And boy I can't wait to see Dwight and Newcomb (i mean how often in your life can you meet an opponent like Kent at C. That's like a jackpot) against real competition. expect Munson/Ralph to give Dwight a great run ... and the Pistons offense prevailing. In the West, Nuggets, Nuggets, Nuggets. Congrats to every team in the CF, especially Nuggets. Awesome job over the last few seasons. Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: WizardsGM on January 18, 2008, 04:55:23 PM awww thanks!
it wont be worth it though if I lose now Title: Re: rd 2 up Post by: BucksGM on January 18, 2008, 07:50:07 PM Quote (i mean how often in your life can you meet an opponent like Kent at C.
