Title: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: GrizzliesGM on January 10, 2008, 03:46:33 PM Hornets trade:
Terry Teagle Spencer Johnson Julius Russell Lorenzo McLeod Grizzlies trade: Lincoln Lord The Grizzlies cut 2 players to make this deal work, Maurice Martin and Eddie Phillips Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 10, 2008, 04:29:27 PM Hornets accept
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: CelticsGM on January 10, 2008, 04:37:34 PM now THAT's an interesting deal.
once again the hornets give nothing that has any value (and I had Teagle on my team, i know what im talking about) for a superb PG. Or former superb PG. One who has lost most of his D but still can score. Will be interesting to see if Lord likes being relegated to the bench ... and happily take the 10-15 minutes Johnboy and Kyle leave for him, or heavily cuts into the starters playing time. A gamble ... but a cheap one. Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: CelticsGM on January 10, 2008, 04:41:06 PM btw, isn't it amazing how many guys with no value the hornets had on their roster? I've now counted 7 that are gone ... and Colliton is still on their team ...
:lmao: Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: NetsGM on January 10, 2008, 04:43:55 PM :/
Never like it when a former net great is playing for hornet nation. Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 10, 2008, 04:44:58 PM Teagle definitely has value, and Russell is solid -- excellent A/TO. Also McLeod is doing well in his limited minutes.
But yeah, I've kept a few guys on the roster just for situations like this. Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 10, 2008, 04:45:53 PM :/ Never like it when a former net great is playing for hornet nation. He'll win his third Championship with me, and will be so grateful that I gave him the opportunity that he'll ask to retire a Hornet. :) Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: GrizzliesGM on January 10, 2008, 05:45:15 PM Its sad to see Lord go. He and Maggette have led the Grizzles for many years. But, he's getting older and his defense has continued to decline. Still, he's having a great season but my team is awful. I did not plan on resigning him so i'd rather get a little back for him.
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: PacersGM on January 11, 2008, 02:05:24 AM well again i am really confused. you too should know better than that.
trade can?t be done because teagle was acquired through a trade on day 51. Players acquired in a trade have a trade restriction where they can?t be traded until 60 days have passed. Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 11, 2008, 08:42:53 AM fuck
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: NetsGM on January 11, 2008, 11:53:30 AM Quote well again i am really confused. you too should know better than that. What's so confusing? People make mistakes. I don't think everyone needs a scolding when they make a mistake. Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 11, 2008, 12:10:11 PM When I did my division, I read something like 85.2%, and for some reason I thought that was within 15%... Dumb dumb.
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: WizardsGM on January 11, 2008, 12:38:37 PM that is why the spreadsheet is so key :)
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 11, 2008, 12:39:27 PM I don't have excel
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: PacersGM on January 12, 2008, 06:33:00 AM it wasn?t the money that caused the trouble it was trying to involve teagle into a trade package.
Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: NetsGM on January 12, 2008, 09:41:30 AM Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: HornetsGM on January 12, 2008, 10:36:05 AM it wasn?t the money that caused the trouble it was trying to involve teagle into a trade package. You're right, it was the other trade that I got confused about. Title: Re: Grizzlies/Hornets Post by: PacersGM on January 12, 2008, 04:03:34 PM to be exact the other trade wasn?t going through even with cap matching. you had hernandez in it who was also traded on day 51. but in the other trade the cap situtation was the first one i recognized.
