Title: Sim 9 done Post by: PacersGM on January 07, 2008, 01:38:39 AM started kersey at PG and it seems that my bigs really liked it. in depth analysis will follow later.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: MagicGM on January 07, 2008, 03:58:32 AM I'm pretty sure this sim will surprise a lot of team. I've won against playoff teams. woopeedoo... I'm the happiest person alive.. besides jerold, of course.. i think...
edit: whoops... I think..? :? Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: HeatGM on January 07, 2008, 06:05:45 AM wow...i dont know what happened...my team just crumbled
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: Str8westcoasta on January 07, 2008, 06:17:15 AM We won 3 games... nice... Jourdain Godin was a bit of an offensive beast... if only this guy could play D!
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: NetsGM on January 07, 2008, 08:32:57 AM 3-1 with a heartbreaker of a loss to the (undermanned, I think) Hornets by 1. C'est la vie.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: RaptorsGM on January 07, 2008, 09:16:23 AM yuck, 3-7 sim, made some changes I apparently shouldnt have
Person played great but turned the ball over alot when Buck was injured this sim...which makes me wonder if my guys run alot of dump plays into Buck early in the clock and let him set it up or kick it out from there gonna change things up and hopefully get into the playoff picture Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: WizardsGM on January 07, 2008, 09:57:23 AM I think that was my first losing sim of the season at 3-4 and I am not entirely thrilled about it heading into the final stretch. I am hoping its just a blip on the radar, since things have went so smoothly up until now. We lost back to back games for only the second time since day 28/31.
Lost to the Lakers by 1 at home - thats a game we need to take each and every time. We had 22 turnovers though, 4 by Borgmann of all people. Win vs Jazz on the road by 11 - outrebounded them 60-48 Win vs Suns by 43 at home - we had 15 steals within their 22 turnovers Lost to the Wizards by 29 on the road - I know its on the road, but the team isnt that good, we should have beaten them. We shot horribly: 37% from the field, 20% from 3, 67% from the line. Walloped the Cavs by 52 (126-74) at home - we shot 56%, they shot 35% Lost to the Clips by 10 on the road - 21 turnovers. It seems we are fine if we can keep them under 20. Lost to the Pacers by 18 on the road - tough game, good team. We only shot 34% Stats: C: Kleine - 5.3/6.4/0.7/1.9/1.0 PF: Borgmann - 11.7/12.1/1.6/0.9/4.0 - its really sad that his best sim comes at the team's worst SF: Collins - 21.9/5.0/2.4/1.4 SG: Magic - 20.9/8.6/4.0/1.7, 3.3to PG: Evans - 19.9/4.3/10.6/1.9, 4.0to sub: Fuqua - 7.1/5.0/1.1/0.6/1.0 sub: Okoren - 4.6/3.6/2.3 sub: Zollner - 7.7/5.7/0.3/1.6/1.1 Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: HawksGM on January 07, 2008, 10:06:04 AM Sidney Green seems to be emerging as a star on my young team. He is averaging a double double and has been steadily improving as the season has progressed. The only bad thing is that it's a contract year and I'll have to pay up to keep him.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: WizardsGM-old on January 07, 2008, 11:49:17 AM Yikes. 3-game win streak into 5-game losing streak. Back to the drawing board.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: BullsGM3 on January 07, 2008, 12:10:53 PM 3-2 sim. 2-2 on the road, 1-0 at home.
Brings my splits to 7-28 on the road, 20-7 at home. This is crazy. Hopefully that bodes well for my upcoming 10 of 11 at home starting on day 94 with two straight against Kev Willis and the Raptors. Outscored my opponents 109-102, outrebounded them 55-48. I'm asking Stocker to give me a lot, being the main backup at 3 positions. He's responding, put up 12.4 and 11.2 in 30 MPG. Dave Bradley was given regular minutes, put up 8/5 in 18 MPG, not bad. Jeff Hornacek averaged 1.4 SPG in only 12 MPG. Nice. Seems like the SG fits Ransey well. 26/5/4. Still got his 1.8 SPG Lenny Bias is a scoring machine. 18.8 PPG playing only 29 MPG, with a ts% over 56%. Also, only turned the ball over 3 times in 5 games. MikeRob seems to have been born to play point guard. Only scored 11 PPG (nonoption) but was really efficient (TS over 60!) and averaged 11 APG! He's only played PG in 3 or 4 sims and he's already approaching the leaderboard in APG. Also got 5 RPG, nice lift to get from your PG. Swift had a good ball deflecting sim: 1.6 steals and 1.8 blocks. Shot a low percentage from the field but made up for it at the line. I'll take 8.4/9.8 with good defense from him every sim. Perkins had a Sim to forget scoringwise, 7.8. Got 9.4 boards though. Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: KnicksGM-old4 on January 07, 2008, 12:57:27 PM What's the lowest points scored you guys have seen? Wizards managed 54.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: HornetsGM on January 07, 2008, 01:10:49 PM You could check the teams' history to find out -- "fewest points allowed." I'd do it but I don't feel like it.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: WizardsGM-old on January 07, 2008, 03:43:40 PM What's the lowest points scored you guys have seen? Wizards managed 54. In spite of an average of 98 in the seven games before.Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: RaptorsGM on January 07, 2008, 03:51:08 PM 96th day of 2007...Heat 103 Spurs 48. Lowest points scored in a game. 54 doesn't even crack the top 20.
Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: CelticsGM on January 07, 2008, 04:52:14 PM now that's something again: 5-1 sim
only loss coming by 3 in Indiana (once again blowing a halftime lead), but beat Heat and Bucks which let's me believe we're back on track. The stretch run will be nice in the East as we have 6 teams duelling for the best record. Pacers (19 losses) and hornets (21) lead the way (Pacers lose some strange games frequently), but Nets (22), Bucks (22), Celtics (23) and Heat (27) are in striking distance. :-) Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: GoldenStateGM on January 07, 2008, 05:01:31 PM Well, a nice 5-1 sim, with some very good performances...
George Johnson had another nice sim... 21 ppg, 8 rpg, and only 1.5 topg on 41% and 50% shooting Darren Rice apparently can play as a third option... 12ppg, 4 rpg, 3 apg, 1.8 spg, on 58% and 42% shooting. Barton was a little off, with 21 ppg, 9.5 apg, 2.5 topg, on 43% and 37% shooting. Dylan Pettit rebounded well, getting 11.2 rpg in only 26 mpg. And Matthew Hobson score 16 ppg with 9 rpg, on 50% shooting. Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: PacersGM on January 07, 2008, 05:45:42 PM finally it seems that i have the depth to battle the elite teams.
had 6 guys avg. at least 15 pts during this sim. All my starters and mark. Butler was way better at SG than i expected. Shooting an even better% than usual and kept the good passing. Newcomb really loved that he had guys out there with a superb stroke spreading the floor who are also great passers. He avg. 15 pts and 11 rebs. shultz had a little drop down in scoring but played also a game injured so that might be the reason. kersey with 15 points 9 assists 5rebs did a very good job at PG. wish his 3 point shot would have been over 40% but the rest looked great for his first start for my team. mark had 15points average in only 28mins and filled in nice for the injured shultz. will give this lineup another try next sim. Title: Re: Sim 9 done Post by: NetsGM on January 07, 2008, 10:40:16 PM And for the record, the answer to the trivia question is:
Against the Cleveland Cavaliers, in Cleveland, day 82, 2023 season. Had strong road wins against the Bucks and Spurs. |
