Title: sim 6 done Post by: PacersGM on December 31, 2007, 07:21:16 AM lost to sixers at home but beat pistons, nuggets and bucks. had an OT win against the wolves with almost all my starters scoring 20+ points.
Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: HornetsGM on December 31, 2007, 08:14:35 AM 6-0 sim after some slight lineup adjustments. New Hornet Terry Teagle has looked sharp so far.
Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: WizardsGM on December 31, 2007, 08:18:08 AM 4-1 sim in my last one with George and Xavier. X played for the Sophs in his final Nuggets appearance. Evans played in the ASG. Only loss to the Pacers, too bad it was at home. O'Koren was fantastic.

Both the Mailman and Ron harper made it to the rookie-sophomore game. It seems that the Ron Harper is a pretty good dunker, no wonder he is a pretty good shot blocker at his position.

Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: CelticsGM on December 31, 2007, 10:19:46 AM Very interesting sim.
Billy Thompson got the nod starting at PF ... with mixed results. But later at the AllStar weekend he was starting PF and leading rebounder in the Rookie's routing the Soph's badly. John Tyler went down injured against the Nets (and to illustrate his value: Tyler was 3-3 with 7pts, 2reb, 2ass and 2blk in 8 minutes and we were leading the Nets after the first. He went down and we lost by 32.) Still came back to beat them easily in the rematch a few days later - still without Tyler - despite Billy giving up 44/17 to Tobey. Still the Celtics finished the sim 4-2 despite getting outrebounded by around 37 without my only decent man on the boards. Most important, didn't lose any ground on the Nets and Heat in the loss column. The 2nd half of the season may come, we're ready ... Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: CelticsGM on December 31, 2007, 10:26:17 AM MJ went out in the first round of the slam dunk contest ... and Nique finishing dead last.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Amazingly, the Nets have played 47 games already, the Mavs just 33. No wonder the Spurs .652 record tops the Mavs .697 in the standings. Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: BullsGM3 on December 31, 2007, 01:45:13 PM Didn't realize Swift was going to miss the whole sim. Combine that and MikeRob missing a few games and a 2-4 sim isn't very suprising.
23 of my last 39 are at home, where I've played very well all year, so maybe we can make a run. Bias had a good all star weekend, 3rd in the dunk contest and 23 points in the rookie game. MikeRob All Star! Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: MavsGM on December 31, 2007, 01:53:27 PM Our schedule is back loaded, not many days off in the second half of the season. We went 3-0 this sim but only one of them is a playoffs team and we beat the Spurs by 20 points. Congratz to Vince Keogan and Phil Hubbard 2024 All-Star.
Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: NetsGM on December 31, 2007, 04:01:14 PM MJ went out in the first round of the slam dunk contest ... and Nique finishing dead last. I hadn't really paid enough attention to # of games played, so thanks for the heads Tom. Should be a pretty relaxed second half.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Amazingly, the Nets have played 47 games already, the Mavs just 33. No wonder the Spurs .652 record tops the Mavs .697 in the standings. 5-2 sim - losing BADLY to the hated Hornets and that punk Kyle Macy, and a close one to the almost-as-hated Celts, both on the road - and not enough time here at work to check out the games too closely. I do notice that I have to get Cliffy back to PF - he's not cutting it at SF. Happy New Years Gentleman!! Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: RaptorsGM on December 31, 2007, 08:01:51 PM Well it looks like willis/buck and chuck will work just fine...I just need a PG to put with them.
Went just 1-6 but had no backup C. Played Chuck at PG and it was good...he had some great games and was named ROTM. Highlights from the sim... Willis had 24/20 in his first game as a Raptor. Person had 16/13 assists in his first game at PG. Person had 39/5/4 and just one turnover in 35 mins playing PG against the Sonics. Buck chipped in with 24/10/4/3/3/4 in what was a fantastic overall game. Sanders stepped up big in the only win of the sim with 16 pts, 7 rebs, 2 asts, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 0 turnovers. In that game Person had 22/5/7 in 31 minutes. Caleb Anderson played 38 minutes mostly at C and had 5 pts, 8 rebs, 8 asts and 2 blks. Interesting. In a loss to the Knicks the frontcourt of Willis and Buck and Anderson combined for 66 pts (Willis - 32), 26 rebounds (Buck 11) and 16(!!) fouls. Person was yet again incredible (seeing a pattern here or what?) with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 18 assists and only 3 turnovers. Buck had 19/17 against the Magic. Person had 46 pts, 6 rebs and 7 asts against the Michael Gragg-led Bucks. Fenomenal! Willis had 19/17 playing against Rex Mehta and imo won the matchup. Looking at day 60... Person was our only entry in the rookie challenge, and played limited minutes due to Bias. However, he still came away with 10, 4 and 4. In the All-Star game Person was the starting SF for the East - figure that out, he plays backup in the rookie challenge to a non-all star, and then starts in the big game. He played 26 minutes and got 15 points, 7 rerounds and 5 assists. fenomenal! Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: RaptorsGM on January 01, 2008, 08:39:02 PM looking at some individual stats...
Willis @ C - 20.4ppg, 14rpg, 2.2apg, 1.4spg, 2.6topg, 0.8bpg Buck @ PF - 18.1ppg, 10.3rpg, 2.6apg, 1.7spg, 2.4topg, 1.9bpg --Going to need to find a really, really good backup for these two (maybe Pryz long-term) because they both had some foul trouble...but these two can clearly play with each other. Sanders @ SF - 9ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.9apg, 1.1spg, 1topg, 1bpg --I think he's better suited as a backup...going to try to find a more offensively minded SF to start next sim. I really need Pryz back to make a push for the playoffs. Schader @ SG - 13.3ppg, 3rpg, 2.3apg, 3spg, 2topg, 0bpg --He's having a career year and I love it...SGs are routinely held below their avgs by this guy AND he's one of the premier ball stealers in the league...he's really shown consistency over the last few years. Person @ PG - 24.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 8.9apg, 0.9spg, 4.4topg, 0.1bpg --From a rookie out of position?? Ok! Obviously not my long term option at PG but he will more-than-do for now. A far better a:to than my former option at PG as well. All-Star numbers from the rook and he is rewarded with a starting all-star position. And finally a chance for you to get rid of that horrible Schader trade mistake. But his selection to the ASG is a slap in the face of half a dozen star PGs ... and one of the things FBB sucks so badly in. :moon: Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: PacersGM on January 02, 2008, 04:27:30 AM ... Keogan is a 6'3 SG, Person is a 6'8 SF....Keogan's career high for rebounds per game in a season is 4.5, Person is getting 7.3. In fact the only thing really comparable is the shooting percentages. Person plays B- defense as a rookie, Keogan's C+ defense is what he has to show for 14 years in the league. As for the "horrible Schader trade mistake", here is a few of your quotes from said trade thread... Quote easy to see why the Raptors did it (given the fact they gave almost nothing) Quote You just aquired Schader AND $295 for a bunch of crap (in my eyes) ...it ended up being Schader for Lester Conner and Dennis Rodman...I'd take that in a second again! Title: Re: sim 6 done Post by: CelticsGM on January 03, 2008, 04:14:21 PM just because they made a mistake with their pick isn't making this trade good.
And me initial comment didn't see you on a freefall towards seasons end, where you gave a #8 pick and Lester Conner. And that's horrible by all accounts ... |
