Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: GrizzliesGM on December 24, 2007, 05:27:20 AM My team played awful so i think its time for some drastic changes. I am going to replace Raul Doleac and Chris Cho in my starting lineup with Jesus Risen and Rob Williams who should provide better or equal defense and much better shooting percentages. I think pairing Cho with Lord really hurt my teams defense so upgrading from B- to B+ at defense will help hide Lord's C+ defense.
On a positive note, Lincoln Lord is still playing amazingly on the offensive end. Happy holidays everyone! Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: NetsGM on December 24, 2007, 07:48:40 AM 5-0. Team seems to like outside focus.
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: BlazersGM on December 24, 2007, 10:17:10 AM mediocre sim, and Hakeem got injured. Damn.
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: BullsGM3 on December 24, 2007, 10:45:39 AM Played 8 of 10 games against playoff teams and went 6-4. Can't complain about that. (then again 8 of 10 were also at home)
Switched up my backcourt positions, with MikeRob at PG and Zeke at SG, seemed like they like those spots better: MikeRob: 16.7 PPG 6 RPG 9.1 APG 3 SPG 2.8 TPG Zeke: 27.5 PPG 4.4 RPG 4.5 APG 2.3 SPG 3 TPG I've accepted the fact that Zeke in this sim is not really as much like real Zeke as he is a higher percentage shooting Iverson, and that's more than fine for $10 mill a year. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: RaptorsGM on December 24, 2007, 11:08:02 AM Person should have been ROTM both months....he has by far the best rook numbers. having 3+ 20ppg scorers is working out pretty nice in Toronto....would still like to give Ransey a new home where he can play SG and really excel.
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: NetsGM on December 24, 2007, 11:16:26 AM Very good results moving the focus to outside. Overall the team went 5-0. I did play 4 of 5 games at home, but the last 4 games were against very good competition. Wins raptors(14-11), @celtics(18-13), Hornets(19-8), Bucks (19-11). Those teams are a combined 70-43.
Overall I scored 106.2 ppg on 47% shooting, 1.27 points per shot. I gave up 88.6 ppg on 38.8% shooting, 1.05 pps. +17.6 ppg against that competition is still very good. Ralph still got his with an outside focus. 27 ppg, 15.6 rpg, 4.6 apg, 1.2 bpg, 1.2 spg, 48% fg% Munson is turning into a great second fiddle, and a great compliment to Sampson. I really don't think Barkley and Sampson would be playing this well together. Munson had 20 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4 blocks per game, and shot 38%. The biggest beneficiary of the outside focus was clearly Brice. 17.4 ppg, 10.2 apg, 2.6 spg and only 2.4 turnovers per game, with 50% 3pt shooting and making over 3 per game is tremendous for a non-option. Blackman's also turning into a nice 3rd option, as he averaged 14 ppg on excellenct percentages (57.1% 3pt this sim), while playing A defense. Even pressley did well. 8.2 ppg, 6 rpg, and 2.2 spg isn't bad, considering who he's playing with. And Wu's 7.2/7.2 in 22 minutes off the bench is very appreciated. I'm not sure if changing the focus helped defensively, but they were fantastic. I switched Blackman over to SF, and the results were good. Pressley I found out is a much better perimeter defender than post defender, and he was getting abused defensively in the post. Blackman was not. he held his opponents to 37.5% fg% and only 12 points per 35 minutes. Brice was also fantastic, holding his man to 35.1% fg%, and Sampson's man didn't do squat against him (24.5% fg%). Very excited to see how the team plays with these changes going forward. I think I can compete with anyone in the east. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on December 24, 2007, 05:36:24 PM man, i can't believe how many ways my team finds to lose games.
lost to the Knicsk at home by 3, to the Pistons at home by 16 (in a game everybody sucked on O at the same time), to the Nuggets at home by 1, and at Indiana after scoring 116 points. Still won 5 including an important matchup at Miami. But this team still leaves me shaking my head more often than not ... :? Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: JazzGM-old on December 24, 2007, 07:46:58 PM well the Jazz have really been hit with the injury bug this year.... only 5 players have played all 30 games for me, Theus is out another 4 and a half sims with a broken leg, and Thomas is out with a broken Jaw for a little over a sim. These seasons seem to be when I finish best though, so as long as I keep in the playoff picture, I should be alright.
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: NetsGM on December 24, 2007, 11:30:26 PM Well, if SSBA is a "Christmas Carol", FBB is my Ebinezer Scrooge - injuring Milner again leading to a disappointing past sim and likely one in the future.
Merry Christmas to you too, FBB :moon: Anyways, more details later....I think my oldest just fell asleep and I need to hide out in the living room to try and sneak a peak at Santa. Happy Holidays, gentlemen - and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. And if any of you others have kids, hope you have a fun morning  Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on December 25, 2007, 05:52:04 AM ... Happy Holidays, gentlemen - and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. And if any of you others have kids, hope you have a fun morning  Or evening. We celebrate Christmas Eve here in most of Europe. And our children's eyes seeing the Christmas tree for the first time each year is something so full of joy and amazement, I think it would beat even winning an SSBA title ... but then again, how would i know ... :moon: HAPPY CHRISTMAS / HANNUKA / (and whatever is celebrated in different religions/parts of the world) !!! Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: BlazersGM on December 25, 2007, 07:51:29 PM Merry Xmas all, its snowing here for the 1st time on Christmas in some 15 years, its a wonderful feeling, but due to climate change problems lately we had some Xmas with 22 C (more like summer), so this Xmas at least here in Croatia is the 1st real Xmas since 1990 or something like that. Just beautiful.
