well great sim for the pacers but played some sub 500 teams as well so no big surprise.
lost to the jazz at home and lost lenard for the sim in game 1.
of course he already had 10pts in 18mins but after his injury mark stepped up big for him. Avg 19.4 pts 6.3 rebs 2.9 ass and shooting over 50% as non option
He might have earned some starting mins next sim
dwight keeps impressing me. He had a game of 33pts and 29rebs which is a new record for the pacers team. not sure if we ever had a 30/30 game here.
Newcomb was impressive as well avg. 15pts 9.9 rebounds and 2.1 blks and shooting his usual great %

Nice. Went 6-2, Hakeem is unstoppable, Macauley is a pleasant suprise. Team looks very nice.

Woulda been a pretty good sim if we didn't play the Mavs...twice. More details when the kids are off to school

Not panicking yet since I have a tough first week. If I'm still .500 or less after next sim I'll be worried.

Ugh...3-3 sim but it was much, much worse than that

Only 90.3ppg, way down from PS.

Swift was nice at C with 12.7rpg. Pryz backed him up with 3.3 blocks in 20 mins.

Buck was his usual self with 25.3/15.3/2.3/1.7/1.5 - all star numbers IMO

Person broke his nose midway through the 2nd game of the season so Sanders had to start and that killed most of the offense. He had 14/11 in his one full game.

Schader chipped in more offense than usual, 14.7ppg with 2.8bpg.

Ransey doesn't want to play PG anymore but he does still want to score with 23.7 per

5-3 is not too bad - we had some big blowouts in there (+27 v. Lakers, +33 v. Wiz, and +35 v. Raps), resulting in a very big ppg differential that won't really last. Three losses were all close and against good teams (with a lot of roster turnover it's to be expected), but I'm not too fussy on two home losses already (to the explosive and red-hot Mavs by 4 - with Vince Keogan going off for 45pts against my A defender, and the Hornets by 5).

Satisfied with most team stats - defence was very solid keeping oppg down, nice differential on the glass, and forcing more to's than we're giving up; %'s were all good on offence, and a:to was fine. Not *as* hot against the better teams, but I suspect that will come in time.

Went with Tobey at the 3 last sim, and he was a dominant scoring force, sitting 4th in the league at 28.3ppg. Great in his matchups - went right toe-to-toe with Nique in a great matchup.

Milner was solid, but had some strange low-assist/relatively high to games, which is weird for him.

Dell Curry was not nearly as solid as I'd hoped coming off the bench, so I think I will let him start to see if I can get abit more offence out of the two. This was a big problem in our losses and many of our wins.

Pretty pleased with Darren Fleischer's performance - production was good, OK in matchups.

Cliffy chipped in with nice complimentary numbers - double double on good percentages and threw in nearly 3 assists.

On to the ex-Nets.... :(

First off:  at Marcus Kersey (scoring at a ridiculous clip and even containing the TO's).

A lot of other guys are littering the leaderboards  - not really complaining, but :bash:

It was almost like many of them had something to prove to me on a personal level: Macy with 32pts when I wasn't sure if he'd be enough of a scorer at the 2; Kersey with 11 assists with 0 turnovers when his a:to ratio was my concern; Hubbard putting up 27pts with just 1 to - which was an issue for me; then Kersey owning Milner for a 22pt/7reb/9ast/1 to game.....I hope they all have it out of their system now, but good for them and their gm's  :bods:

Alrighty, look at it a little more in depth.

I'd say Ralph liked the inside focus.

Ralph had 40 or more points 4 times this sim, and 17 or more rebounds 5 times.  He shot over 50% in 7 of 9 contests.  The free throw shooting could stand to improve, but he's averaging 1.34 pps.  37.1 ppg, 14.2 rpg, 1.6 bpg, 54.2% speaks for itself.  Absolutely amazing.

The biggest person who lost shots due to ralph's dominance was Brice.  He was very efficient (43.3% fg%, 61.5% 3pt, and had 12.5 assists per game), but the shots just weren't there for him.  But overall he played well.

Blackman and Munson struggled a bit.  Blackman only had 11.7 ppg.  I expect his shots to go down with an inside focus, but he also simply missed shots.  I don't expect him to shoot 38% the entire year, nor do I expect him to shoot 22% from 3.  So I'm hoping his scoring average will increase to 15-16 ppg, even with an inside focus.

Likewise, Munson struggled.  he had over 15 attempts per game, so the shot attempts are there, but he only connected on 41% of them.  He also couldn't seem to stay on the court, averaging 4 fouls per game, and fouling out of 2.  Consequently his rebounding and blocked shots took a dip.  I expect both to increase.

defensively this was a subpar effort that needs to be improved.  I'll be playing with the pace, trap, and press settings to try to get more out of them.  Munson was superb (held his man to 34.6% shooting), but the rest of the team was lackluster.  I expect that to pick up, as Brice and Blackman who the two who struggled the most, and they've historically been good defenders.

Excited to see what sim 2 brings.  If Ralph can keep this up, and blackman and Munson can improve to where they typically are, this could be fun.

Won back 2 back game against the Nets is a nice start.  Phil Hubbard himself outplayed Tobey in game one with 27/8 in 22 minutes.  Outplayed him again in game two with 24/18.  Who would have thought the third piece of the trade Marcus Kersey outplayed Richard Milner.  Hubbard and Kersey off to a great start, now just have to wait for Wootten to break out.

Wow!!!  1-7!  Didn't expect it to be great, but that is aweful.
On a side note, at least Sabonis, Fleming, and Embry are all playing like studs.

2-6 didn't expect this from the same team as last season, but we probably need a little work on geling, Sidney Green's TC improvements are translating nicely on the court, now it's time for everyone else to play well

6-2, with the 2 losses by a combined 5 points.

I tried a fast pace and it led to my bigs all averaging under 30.  I need Mehta to play more than 29 minutes, so I'm gonna have to slow it down.

3-5, even lost to the Hawks (yikes)

starting C and defensive standout John Tyler went out in game 3 (two blowout road wins then and a narrow loss) and without him i had - simply put - troubles rebounding. After backup big man Chambers went down too my frontcourt was lost.

Save for Hakeem killing Mason Perry the losses were closer than it seems, so there's hope.
For the new faces, Quincy sure is an improvement over Purvis, and rookie Billy Thompson is a nice surprise.

Next sim's Hornets game with Tyler back will tell a lot about the character of this team.

3 - 6

Not a great start but some nice surprises as par as individual performances go.

Carlos Tower is looking comfortable at PG, with 10.3 assists per game and 3.1 steals. That puts him 3rd and 4th inthe league respectively.

Tarpley is looking good with 15 and 9 and Joardain Godin is unbeleivable off the bench. Guy can score!!!

Celtics:  Don't be too upset that my Hawks beat you.  You are in a very exclusive club of teams that we have (and maybe will) beat this year.  Be a proud member!
