Title: rd2 done
Post by: PacersGM on November 22, 2007, 01:24:45 AM
hornets have a chance for a sweep.
my team played the nets pretty soild so far, taking care at home and had a chance to take one from their homecourt.

We need a miracle for getting Tyler some court time this season.

AS expected our defense is doing ok, holding the hornets to 42% shooting, way below their season average, the rebounding battle is even, but the difference in the 3 blowout losses is simply scoring. Celtics have nobody to put up any points consistently.

No, I won't win this series, with or without Tyler. And team that can bring Ralphy Sampson from the bench has some serious advantage over everybody else. But at least i'd like to give Tyler a nice farewell to the season with a game 5.

Home wins abound so far, and we're looking a little outclassed. Milner is having abit of rough go with Butler, and Schmalzy is battling with Dwight, but losing. Hoping to take it to 7 and maybe squeak one out in Indy, but am not holding my breath.

well schmalz is still a problem for my team since he was the main reason why i lost game 3. guess butler is a good matchup for milner. my real problem at the moment is my production from shultz. i expected way more from him. i hope he has no marionitis...

I think he has Bradley-itis, but even so, it's a matchup I'm losing.

Schmalz has been very good, sprinkled around the playoff leaderboard - guess he isn't done yet.

Down 2-1 to Jazz...home team won every game.  With margins of 7, 20 (Jazz) and 23 (Spurs).  I'll try a couple tweaks on the DC and see what happens.

What an ulgy series so far. Wedge has shut down Nique, but I'm getting some scattered points from some bench guys that has put me over the top. But it's been ugly, like I said.

well with keogan coming back i was sure that my defense would be way better. so the expected move of schmaltz to C had no effect at all. next hornets  a rematch of last year. but this time i hope i have the deeper bench  :bounce:
could be a very long series since we had some OT meetings during the season.

Great Series, Mavs...
Homecourt ended up being critical to this series.
The final two games of the series were decided by a total of 4 points.

Bailey Tobey is a nightmare to defend....

Great series and good luck rest of the way.  We really missed Keogan's scoring since my SGs didn't do much. :bash:

In deep, I tried a few little things: Kersey starting at SG to go at Schulz abit, plus Schmalz at C to boost his scoring and get Koncak (better defender) on Dwight. None of the moves worked out, and for some reason, Butler really has Milner's number.

Missed having Woot to body up the big man - but thems the breaks. With our window of opportunity closing in the near future, shame that we couldn't be too healthy this year to see what they coulda done. Makes two years in a row with plenty of important injuries, so maybe next year will be the healthy one. Not sure I'll be patient enough to keep this all together, but that's an issue for next week.

Congrats Pacers. Top two teams in the East face off, as it should be.

Congratulations to the Hornets who dominated us pretty much from start to finish in this series.

But I'm proud of my guys taking game 4 in OT, with ancient Steven Buehler outplaying Nique, Priddy starting at C getting a huge 18/21 double-double against McCracken (should have tried that from the get go) and getting nice ball movement from everybody (36 ass on 46 fg).

So Tyler did get his final game of the season, returning from 47 game absence, and as expected he was rusty as Hook in Disney's Cars. But Wedge once again showed his future should be at PF, and when Buehler couldn't sustain his game 4 effort this was over early.

Will be an interesting series in the CF. The biggest Pacers strength is the weakest Hornets spot, but with Shultz expected to hold Macy down, this will be decided at two spots: Nique beating the dead body of LBJ and Ralphy coming from the bench for an easy 20/10.
