Blazers give up a pretty nice player (top 5 in the league in steals) AND $100 for crap players and a lousy pick.
No idea why they did it, honestly.

For me, I have always liked Connor, and this is his 2nd time with my squad.
If he resigns, he will likely be my starting point guard when Barton retires...

of course it's a great deal for you, Conner is a legit starter.

Lester is crap IMO, sure he can steal, but that thats all, and that pick looks a TOP 5 for me, not a lousy one.

then it all depends on how good a rebuild job he does...there is potential the pick can be anywhere from 1-22

damn, i was targeting it to be #23. But i think you're right, trev, that's a stretch ...

Honestly, my starters are Guti (32), Moncrief (27), Wedge (30), Tyler (33) and Hunt (23). Key backups Finley (32), Priddy (33), Short (27), Tornopsky (28), Trump (32).

If you're telling me this team can't play another 2 years you'Re dreaming ... it's not like i'm the PACERS !!!
 :lmao:

Thats what I thought 3 years ago when I had his pick - he still hasnt missed the playoffs.

Sure all of them can still be on your team but theyll decline for sure, i highly doubt youll be able to make any moves to improve your team, only "young" player worth trading is Sidney, and i doubt you can get A LOT for him.

Anyway well see.

Everyone thinks you have to have guys 25-28 to compete and that's it....these guys are still good when they are old, even if not quite as glamourous. It ain't glam that wins chips.

Sidney? Sidney can go for a nice pick.

It's not about Sidney, it's about mastering team management. The same team that had the best record in the east in 2020 nearly missed the playoffs in 2021, when managed by the cpu.

And don't forget that guys like Trump (starting 23 games) and Lenard (starting 50 games) probably wouldn't see a minute on another team in the league, Wedge was no more than a backup on the Pacers before I got him, and my "only player worth anything" from last season now leads the Kings to a .455 record.

But hey, this is about your trade, and if you like it it's fine. Conner won't be a star anytime, so maybe that pick really helps you find the diamond in the rough.

(Just don't expect me to be any assistance in that quest ...)

Funny, I had the same hope when I got his pick, too.
