Title: sim 4 done Post by: PacersGM on October 31, 2007, 03:48:25 AM lost at home against bucks. took care of the rest of the schedule with increased defense performance and a monster howard on the other end. he had several 30+pts, 15+rebs and 5+blk games. And he was finally also a POTW
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: NetsGM on October 31, 2007, 06:12:18 AM 4-3 sim and just 11 days/8 games to go, with a good handful against lesser teams. On the fringe of the playoff picture, and feeling alittle better about that as Milner's return draws near. Our biggest issue has been offensive flow - too many TO's, low percentages - his return should be just what the doctor ordered.
Still really regretting the deal I didn't make, but I am loving Woot's 3.5bpg and how Kersey had a stretch of games this sim which reminded my of why I'm so fond of him. Schmalzy has been superb when he has played, but is having a hard time staying on the floor d/t injury. Lost handily to East powerhouses (Pacers and Hornets - actually, *almost* snuck one out against NO), and manhandled the East's powderpuffs (Celtics). Gonna do a wee bit of tweaking to the DC and we should be good to gather some momentum heading to the second half. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 31, 2007, 06:14:50 AM nice to be 2 deep with starting calibre guys at every position
Starting PG Maxi went down for the next 4 sims, in comes Malcolm "in the middle" Trump averaging 18/5/11 and 1.8topg leading my troups to a 4-2 sim. Puzzeling? The homeloss to the Magic, just one of these days ... Antonio Leanrd's farewell was an 18ppg simon 54% shooting. Thanks Toni for all you've done for this franchise, much of our success was only because of you. Probably the most underrated player in the whole league, whereever you end up at the end of this season, it will be a very very happy team (unless you stay on the Kings, but hey, it's warm and the cali beaches are close there at least) The game settings didn't exactly help, so let's change some more. And will that Atlantic crown be important this season: it maybe the difference between facing the Bucks away in rd1 and Pacers in rd 2 (if,if, i kno) or the Hawks at home in rd 1 and Hornets in rd 2 (if again ...) Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 31, 2007, 06:20:08 AM ...and manhandled the East's powderpuffs (Celtics). ... getting the season series to 1-2. congratulations. just 6.5 more games to make up ... oops I forgot you're the poor injury-riddled squad, well then watch how that's done in style. And don't be ashamed to inquire about my roster depth, i'm sure we'll find some 3rd stringer that could start for you ... ;-) Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: MagicGM on October 31, 2007, 06:30:22 AM wow. I'm winning through a total team effort. woopeedoo...

You can keep your castoff group of geriatrics and 'never-weres', but thanks for offering. I'll see you at the end of the season, if my old eyes can see down that far  Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: MagicGM on October 31, 2007, 06:59:09 AM btw, position changes were not done :D
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 31, 2007, 07:05:18 AM and the Lenard - Purvis deal could be done now as well, IF you change the rosters before next sim ...
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: PacersGM on October 31, 2007, 07:09:19 AM btw, position changes were not done :D sorry was too frustrated about the already posted deals that didn't work. I would appreciate if the veteran gms here put more effort into their trades. about 70% of the deals can't be done on sim day and i am wasting my time finding out for them. it will be done for next sim. @TOM last time i checked it was day 41 your deal could be done. And currently we have day 40. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: PacersGM on October 31, 2007, 07:16:19 AM And will that Atlantic crown be important this season: it maybe the difference between facing the Bucks away in rd1 and Pacers in rd 2 (if,if, i kno) or the Hawks at home in rd 1 and Hornets in rd 2 (if again ...) well can?t see an easy PO opponent in the east. with nets still in PO run and milner soon back we have at least 10 teams that could make the PO. And all are tough to play. I expect some even to improve through trades. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 31, 2007, 07:21:36 AM nope, once day 40 has been simmed FBB changes to day 41 (see status line), so the trade could have been performed before exporting/uploading. But no big deal ...

And all are tough to play. I expect some even to improve through trades. never said there are easy opponents, but in the Central Bucks look damn strong now (as you found out yourself), Hornets are defending champ for a reason (despite getting weaker now), and the Pacers big 3 are always good for a win or two (when healthy). And the Atlantic winner - and only him - can avoid all three in round 1 ... but i agree, trades/injuries will make a few teams even stronger (Nets, Bucks) or weaker (Hornets,Raptors) soon, and the jury's out on the rest so far ... Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: WizardsGM on October 31, 2007, 08:07:36 AM nope, once day 40 has been simmed FBB changes to day 41 (see status line), so the trade could have been performed before exporting/uploading. But no big deal ... Correct. If Pacers opens FBB now and looks at the bottom left of the screen it will say Day 41 Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: WizardsGM on October 31, 2007, 08:11:49 AM Well I followed up a 7-1 sim with a 3-6 sim, but its my own fault for adjusting the lineup to move Xavier back to the bench. Turns out we struggle offensively and need him to start.
My starting frontcourt only averaged 24/14.5 COMBINED last sim, and that is a cause for concern. Not sure why Borgmann is playing so poorly compared to last season. Evans won POM which is nice to see, he has been distributing nicely (10.2ast this sim to 3.2to) and shooting very efficiently (50% from FG and 3PT this sim). Magic was off the charts though this sim: 30.1pts, 7.8reb, 4.0ast, 1.6stl, 3.2to, 51.5%fg Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: HornetsGM on October 31, 2007, 08:42:10 AM Arrggggg. Ralph is out for a while. I've been wondering how I'd do without him, and now I'll see.
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: HawksGM on October 31, 2007, 09:44:26 AM only 3 games, but we won them all. We played some of the Western squads, beating the Spurs (luckily), Sonics and Raptors. Spud Webb looks like he could be a nice starting PG in the league, of course he is the number 1 option, but he plays above his ratings and size. I could use a little more production from Sidney Green, whether it be more efficiently or more points. I can't complain yet.

But no big deal ... Correct. If Pacers opens FBB now and looks at the bottom left of the screen it will say Day 41 of course i know that. trade will be done as usual on the day the calendar schedules day 41. we always handle it that way. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 31, 2007, 11:35:00 AM speaking of the Western dominators Spurs: losing one road game and 6 home games already ... WOW!
Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: RaptorsGM on October 31, 2007, 12:07:47 PM well can?t see an easy PO opponent in the east. with nets still in PO run and milner soon back we have at least 10 teams that could make the PO. My trades are not going to make me weaker. This team is struggling for a 3rd scorer and I'm about to add that, with a far more consistent SG. I'll take Mike/Buck/Schader/Ransey/Hiscock over Mike/Buck/King/Tripucka/Conner anyday and I would assume most GMs here would agree with me. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 31, 2007, 12:33:20 PM forgot about Schader
ok, that one will give you a thumbs up ... Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: BucksGM on October 31, 2007, 12:59:10 PM 6-1 sim, despite the fact that I botched the Natt trade by signing veteran FAs who were too young to reach 1 million. Sorry Pacers, I was too lazy to check cause I knew it was within 11% with 1 million dollar contracts and didn't think it'd matter.
I feel sorry for any Top 3 team that might draw the Nets in the 1st round as a 6-8 seed if that's what happens. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: NetsGM on October 31, 2007, 04:14:36 PM  Bucks. Kinda made my otherwise crappy day.
*knocks on wood* that injuries simmer down. Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: PacersGM on November 02, 2007, 03:02:50 AM and the Lenard - Purvis deal could be done now as well, IF you change the rosters before next sim ... of course this trade could have been done if you did your homework. neither did you cut a player nor checked it if it is possible to make the trade. but thanks for telling me what i should have done. :moon: Title: Re: sim 4 done Post by: CelticsGM on November 02, 2007, 10:04:48 AM well, if you HAD tried it as we asked for, we would have found out something is wrong ... and correct it.
NOW it's too late, obviously ... |
