Title: sim 1 up Post by: PacersGM on October 22, 2007, 01:56:56 AM not the start i expected. defense is pretty bad for my team standard. nolan is shooting horrible even for his standards. my backups are great as usual. mark and johnny could both get a chance to start for me next sim.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: GrizzliesGM on October 22, 2007, 02:09:46 AM I am very pleased going 6-3 without my #1 scoring option, Michael Brooks, for about 3 of those games.
Ouch for the nets, losing Milner for 43 days! Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: HeatGM on October 22, 2007, 02:36:58 AM wow...7-1...MJ is for real :)
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: Str8westcoasta on October 22, 2007, 05:17:10 AM Disaster!
1-5. We just can't put the ball through the hoop. Need to pick up the tempo a whole lot! Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: PacersGM on October 22, 2007, 05:54:31 AM wow...7-1...MJ is for real :) no he is unreal  damn a sg avg over 8 rebs and 6ass is insane. Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: CelticsGM on October 22, 2007, 06:03:14 AM the good
going 4-1 beating the Warriors, Raptors and Grizzlies defending to 87ppg, whils scoring 103ppg turning it over only 13 times wedge playing great as #1 option at SF. 23/8 on 56% the bad not very much right now ... but Tyler could block more ... Maxi could shoot better ... Fin could be less careless with the rock the ugly losing to the Hawks. No, they're not bad, but every loss is ugly ... ;-) the others Pacers giving up 106ppg defensively. That with A/A+ defenders Shultz, LeBron and Dwight ... ... and still winning three games by 1, 1, and in OT. Hornets and especially Nets with early injury troubles ... ... No need for worries though, it's a long season. Heat look good early on ... ... but i'm not sure you can win with a Gottlieb running the team. Kings found a winning formula early despite massively turning it over ... ... and are still in trouble, in their losses they were outrebounded by 10 ... ... which isn't surprising when your best rebounder doesn't play a second. (Benjamin could/should/has to average 15rpg on THAT team) Spurs quietly assembled a great team. Balanced, playing both ends (14ppg diff) ... ... and the core of this team is signed through next season ... ... plus nobody on the team is even 30 yet!!! 8-) Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: MagicGM on October 22, 2007, 06:06:38 AM tom, do you know that one of your players was a president of the usa way back.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: MagicGM on October 22, 2007, 06:07:16 AM wow...7-1...MJ is for real :) i hope he breaks a leg. Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: NetsGM on October 22, 2007, 06:17:29 AM Injured during the first game of the year? Ouch. I guess I should find the silver lining: at least it's less than half a year :bods:
I never really counted on this happening....not sure if I'm liking Kersey's 4.7topg to carry us over the next stretch. And aside from Marcus, I don't really have a feel for my other guys as PG's - didn't play around with that too much during PS. Meh, I'll figure something out. 4-3 isn't too bad, I guess. All our losses came on the road. Differentials are all pretty good, save assist:turnover ratio. Woot was solid; Hubbard is quite a nice little player; minus TO's, Kersey was great; Bradley was solid as usual. Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: CelticsGM on October 22, 2007, 06:59:39 AM tom, do you know that one of your players was a president of the usa way back. of course. The first one who had to get rid of his boss to become president, btw, that shows a lot of determination, right? He also blocked every attempt to change the constitution, a lot like my Tyler. 8-) Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: WizardsGM on October 22, 2007, 07:43:45 AM wow...7-1...MJ is for real :) no he is unreal  damn a sg avg over 8 rebs and 6ass is insane. Magic is avg 9.1reb and 6ast from SG :D So the Nuggets went 5-4; this team isnt as good as I hoped but if we can play around .500 the whole year than I will consider that a step in the right direction. Magic got a POW award which is very nice, he played great (even with the turnovers). Evans played decent, would like to see more offence though. Xavier's turnovers are what is killing me though; 3 and only 11 shot attempts. I might have to toy with the idea of bringing him off the bench. Borgmann put up 8/8 with 2 blocks as a non option. His conditioning is horrible, as he is playing under 30 minutes in a very slow offence. Kareem is bringing it off the bench with over 11 points and 2.4 blocks. Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: HornetsGM on October 22, 2007, 08:10:49 AM +12 ppg differential, but we struggled mightily when Macy was out. Nique, Sampson and Natt just cannot co-exist, but add Macy and Nique and Sampson are great.
We'll see what happens next sim with Macy available for the full sim (hopefully). Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: HawksGM on October 22, 2007, 08:51:27 AM it was a nice 6-3 start, but only 1 road game in there. George Johnson played wonderful for me, his first time being a number 1 option and he's producing, next sim should be a little more grueling away from the friendly confines of our home arena.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: RaptorsGM on October 22, 2007, 11:32:52 AM Bah, stupid internet goes down before i get my dc in and the cpu butchers everything. Ugly 2-4 start to the season, but that's about to change when I make my own dc.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: WizardsGM on October 22, 2007, 12:12:13 PM Anyone else notice that 5 of the top 7 players in PPG were drafted in the last 3-4 seasons? Cant be that bad then.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: CelticsGM on October 22, 2007, 12:29:50 PM Anyone else notice that 5 of the top 7 players in PPG were drafted in the last 3-4 seasons? Cant be that bad then. yea, being the lone star on a bad team will do just that ... ;-) no honestly, it's early to declare superscorers after sim 1, but let's not ignore these facts: - nobody even cracks 28ppg so far. - in 9 of the past 10 seasons we had at least 2 scorers with 30+ppg (in 6 seasons three or more) - the decline of the old timer super scorers is visible now, with Yao, Dirk, Hoffa and company gone - and we still suffer from the FBCB years, where no superstar at all came into the league for 4 straight seasons. but still ... ... let's not forget MJ and Nique were among the Alltime great scorers in reality ... Nique hardly cracked 13ppg last season, his third already, and only now takes the "Macy opportunity" ... who should MJ pass the ball to? Gottlieb? Corzine? McHale? no wonder there ... ... even worse with Hakeem. He might get 40ppg and the Blazers won't top 80ppg as a team. ... Sampson is a stud here in FBB. He'll be among the top 3 soon. ... Magic is clearly in a better system now playing SG. He'll score a ton too. So you're right now, but these 5 won't stay. Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: WizardsGM on October 22, 2007, 12:35:11 PM Nique would score a tonne anywhere else. He should be a starter and looks primed to be a top 10 PPG guy for his career if used properly.
But I do agree on your points of the 2+ppg differential between this year's current (though premature) leader and leaders of the past. Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: BucksGM on October 22, 2007, 12:58:15 PM Nice 4-2 start. Gragg leads SSBA in assists per game. Mehta Week 1 player of the week.
Of course, it'll probably be hard to maintain 53% shooting as a team for the year :D Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: MavsGM on October 22, 2007, 03:54:58 PM Don't know why Shaun Dampier is starting instead of Frank Johnson.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: GoldenStateGM on October 22, 2007, 05:12:58 PM Hmm... Wanted to use this sim to compare to the preseason sims; but too many injuries ocurred for a valid comparison.
Adam Fortson was injured 2 minutes into the first game, and Stephan Sylvester injured on day 6 as well. Awful shooting from everyone not named Don Collins... Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: BlazersGM on October 22, 2007, 05:31:23 PM Everette and Tower really suprised me, nice job guys.
Title: Re: sim 1 up Post by: SixersGM on October 22, 2007, 11:14:32 PM The Mailman seems to be delivering well during the 1st sim.
McCray has been surprising so far. He reminds me of David Lee. |
