Title: With the 26th pick Post by: NetsGM on March 27, 2005, 11:14:49 PM The Suns select:
Quincy Mihm, SG, High School Title: With the 26th pick Post by: SunsGM on March 28, 2005, 12:57:22 AM This Guy is kind of a project.
I was torn between Mihm and Jacquez Collier. Collier had a slight edge as far as the ratings, but Mihm had the Higher scouted potential. Hopefully the scouted potential is right in this case at least. He will backup Rip and Kobe at the sg spot, and hopefully in year 2 be a solid backup swingman. I'd still like to address my front court defencies, so if you need a pg, let me know, and maybe we can work out a deal. Nate VanExel could be on your team really soon! Title: With the 26th pick Post by: SonicsGM on March 28, 2005, 01:13:42 AM Thanks for passing on Jacquez Collier...He's my project. I think he will be a stud in a few years, even with the F potential
Title: With the 26th pick Post by: SunsGM on March 28, 2005, 02:34:38 AM sure no problem,
Collier i think is a little more ready to contribute now. Mihm can play behind Kobe and Rip and learn and hopefully be a nice player off of my bench Title: With the 26th pick Post by: SonicsGM on March 28, 2005, 02:36:58 AM It'll be interesting to see which of the two becomes anything. Or if they both become good, bad or ugly.
Maybe there is a minor rivalry between them. Plus, Mihm's hometown is Phoenix...how will the distractions affect his play? Title: With the 26th pick Post by: SunsGM on March 28, 2005, 02:42:33 AM being with the hometown was one of the factors in me taking him, I've always been curious if a player is better if he plays for his home town team.
or if he does crap out because of being right down the street from home Title: With the 26th pick Post by: NetsGM on March 28, 2005, 09:03:59 AM I'm pretty sure it only has effect when it comes time for contract extensions/free agency
Title: With the 26th pick Post by: RaptorsGM on March 28, 2005, 09:11:39 AM Good Pick. He has some decent size to play the 2 and maybe even the 3.
