Wolves hasnĀ“t even been online since his introduction. can somebody tell this guy FA is near :(
Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: LakersGM on October 05, 2007, 01:29:15 AM I'm pretty satisfied with McDyess. At 18 years old, with several categories containing "C+" ratings, and with "B" defense...he could improve into an interesting player provided that he has some potential in him.
Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: NetsGM on October 05, 2007, 06:50:25 AM Again, I didn't check potential on anyone, but I liked the looks of Harpring and Twyman. I don't think I'm going to like the looks of the two guys I'm going to end up with at 52 and 54....both picks are still available by the way.
Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: CavsGM on October 05, 2007, 08:05:12 AM Damn, I wanted Harpring. But oh well, Twyman could also turn out to be decent.

Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: Str8westcoasta on October 05, 2007, 10:36:50 AM I'm intrigued by my 2nd selection:
Keyon Olajuwon PG 20 6'2'' 181 C+ C+ C B D B If his potential is decent he could turn into a nice undersized SG in a year or two. If he gets to B- B- C B D B, which isn't entirely realistic, he could even make my rotation... A lot of people passed up on Ed Wallace PG 22 5'7'' 196 C B B- B D+ D , hopefully that potential is real or we look pretty stupid. Someone must have checked it though, or else he would be the steal of the draft.... potential anyone? Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: SpursGM-old on October 05, 2007, 10:46:05 AM A lot of people passed up on Ed Wallace PG .... potential anyone? Let's just say I checked and didn't think he was worth the #26 pick... He'll need every bit of potential to ever get backup worthy. And what's so intruiging about Wallace ? A 5'7 guy, mediocre handling, guess he can have shooting and defense ratings as much as he likes, his size will keep him in trouble all his career. Worry about size later. Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 05, 2007, 11:32:37 AM what if you have neither ... and miss potential on top (which I assume they didn't know) ?
Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: NetsGM on October 05, 2007, 11:48:02 AM when you're drafting this late, bpa is always the best way to go. always. we can argue about whether he's the bpa, but bringing size into the equation would be a mistake.

I think going by BPA, especially in the 2nd round is the best possible thing to do. Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: ClippersGM-old on October 05, 2007, 03:42:30 PM Nice draft. I really like my picks, Green and Bellamy.

I think going by BPA, especially in the 2nd round is the best possible thing to do. really? you think taking the best available player with pick #37 makes sense? who would have thought ... ;-) but the point is, a 5'7" PG with no potential (at least from what we know) and mediocre ballhandling shouldn't really be the BPA at any point in the draft ... Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: WolvesGM on October 05, 2007, 06:08:06 PM Hands off Ed Pinckney. It's only fitting for a Villanova student to pick up an alum.

Title: Re: Picks 30-39 done Post by: CelticsGM on October 06, 2007, 01:47:56 AM heh, I don't think there are any players left that can contribute like wallace can. they are more C or B- players... don't know his potential though. I might waive him too. haha well, at least you got it partly right ... :lmao: j/k - I love 2nd rounders |
