I agree, the Pick involved is the Pistons 2022 first

I could see this one possibly coming back to bite me if I don't improve and make the playoffs next year, but it's a risk worth taking.

Basically, with the drafting of the chuckster, worthy's nows a backup for me.  I have two positions I need to fill, SF or C (I want to slide Blackman over to SG).  My first option I had for the pick at 9 was Kevin Willis, but I didn't expect him to last until 9.  Thorpe and Flemming weren't really fits for my team (Thorpe being redundant with Barkley, Flemming not at the position I wanted).  When it became likely that obtaining the pick was a possibility, I checked on Kersey's potential, since he was the right position, and already had solid defense and rebounding.  After checking on Kersey's potential is when I decided to pull the trigger.  Hopefully he can be a starter for me down the road, or this trade's a failure.

as of now, edge to Suns, there has been a lot of players with Kersey type ratings, some have been able to play and some not.  It all depends on Kersey, with the first in there, if Kersey ends up being a good player, it's an even deal.

It seems like Bods knows something we don't but i still like it more for the Suns. Unless Pistons got really lucky in FA i don't see them being alot better then the last year.

Well, I did say that I scouted Kersey's potential.

That being said, it's not good enough to make Kersey a lock for anything.  I think his true pot makes this trade more even, but there's still no guarantee that he'll ever be a quality starter.  But Worthy was going to be a backup for me, so it's worth the risk.  I want to try to acquire my assets now, rather than wait on future years draft picks

in paper you could say this is a great deal for the suns...even if jerome turns out to be a star...worthy is equally a star... maybe the potential factor made bods did this...maybe jerome has a 99 true pot just like dwight howard who is now a monster :D

Why did Kersey not get into any action last year?

I'd delete the post, but I was unable to do so.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that Kersey is about an 80-85, Charles is 90-97, and Demler had about a 90-93 coming out of the draft. Maybe I'd do a 3-player parlay.
