Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: MavsGM on June 29, 2007, 12:37:41 AM No, you are not allow to rape the computer in trade like you did in old SSBA. :lol2:
Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: CelticsGM on June 29, 2007, 01:49:39 AM It is next to impossible to rape the computer in a trade, believe me.
He would ask for more and more and more, there's a zero chance to trade some stiffs for a star. Plus he takes picks. First rounders. And he calls that "a little more" to make trades happen. Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: HornetsGM on June 29, 2007, 10:02:57 AM No, you are not allow to rape the computer in trade like you did in old SSBA. :lol2: lol, what, Sheed and a no name pg for Amare was a rip? Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: HeatGM on August 06, 2007, 08:44:20 PM you can always offer up to the comp but expect 99% of your offers rejected, even MJ for Sam Bowie??? :D Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: PacersGM on August 07, 2007, 12:38:31 AM you can always offer up to the comp but expect 99% of your offers rejected, even MJ for Sam Bowie??? :D is this an offer?? Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: CelticsGM on August 07, 2007, 03:09:14 AM even MJ for Sam Bowie??? :D believe me, it WILL be rejected. the CPU had a reason it picked Sammy over Micheal ... Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: PacersGM on August 07, 2007, 07:45:14 AM even MJ for Sam Bowie??? :D believe me, it WILL be rejected. the CPU had a reason it picked Sammy over Micheal ... that is the funny part of the cpu selection. the cpu would do this trade now. Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: CelticsGM on August 07, 2007, 08:00:39 AM well, Heat, your chance then ...
Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: SpursGM-old on August 07, 2007, 09:09:32 AM you can always offer up to the comp but expect 99% of your offers rejected, even MJ for Sam Bowie??? :D After all the talk here everyone is counting on MJ being a superstar and Bowie being a bust. I guess it is just lip service for those who profess to understand that this sim league bears ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION to real life. IN THIS LEAGUE Bowie has as much chance of being better than MJ than the other way around. Just look at Kings experience with Magic.... Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: KingsGM-old on August 07, 2007, 09:40:57 AM But off course, i'm the only fool who belives in names...as evident.
Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: NetsGM on August 07, 2007, 09:54:16 AM Magic is a damned good player who Kings didn't know how to build around.
Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: KingsGM-old on August 07, 2007, 10:03:44 AM Magic is a damned good player who Kings didn't know how to build around. :lmao: Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: SpursGM-old on August 07, 2007, 10:17:26 AM Magic is a damned good player who Kings didn't know how to build around. That may be true...or not. Maybe Magic isn't the player in SSBA that he was in the NBA. And just maybe the same will apply to MJ & Bowie. It is funny that YOU of all the GMs seem to have bought into the the whole line of thinking that Bowie is a bust in SSBA because he was in real life. Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: HawksGM on August 07, 2007, 10:19:57 AM I don't think it's so much, in the SSBA, that Bowie was chosen over MJ, but over Sir Charles, the only reason I could think of is the height differential, because Charles looks damn good. Just my opinion though, I believe Bowie will be better than Jordan in this league.
Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: SpursGM-old on August 07, 2007, 10:21:46 AM player 1: SG 20 6'6'' 195 A- C+ B B+ C D
player 2: C 21 7'1'' 235 B- C- C B+ B+ C Ignoring the names who honestly wouldn't consider trading player 2 for player 1... Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: KingsGM-old on August 07, 2007, 10:22:00 AM It is funny that YOU of all the GMs seem to have bought into the the whole line of thinking that Bowie is a bust in SSBA because he was in real life. Oh, the irony... All these people were laughing at me and my point of view and now, just look at them, "wooow! i got Barkley!", "wohooo MJ!!!!", "Hakeeeem the Dream baby!!" etc etc. Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: HawksGM on August 07, 2007, 10:24:22 AM of course, who knows about true potential besides people in the top 5 picks or so. But that doesn't really matter, I remember James Fisher was 98 potential coming into the league, about 5 years ago, I pick him at #12 and improves by 1 handling point. But in the top 5 with such a tough pick, it's easiest to go on potential
Title: Re: trade offers to computer Post by: NetsGM on August 07, 2007, 10:31:24 AM Quote That may be true...or not. Maybe Magic isn't the player in SSBA that he was in the NBA. And just maybe the same will apply to MJ & Bowie. I didn't say Magic was the player he was in the NBA. I said he was a damned good player. Two very different things. 20/8/8 with A- defense is a good player. Quote player 1: SG 20 6'6'' 195 A- C+ B B+ C D player 2: C 21 7'1'' 235 B- C- C B+ B+ C Ignoring the names who honestly wouldn't consider trading player 1 for player 2... I wouldn't. Player one has one very SSBA-ready skill, inside scoring. He will be one of the top inside scoring guards in the league at his position. He will also be a solid defender at his position, and a + rebounder and ballhandler. Player 2 doesn't have one part of the game he's good at. He's a jack of all trades, master of none. He's not a good scorer. He's not a good defender (centers, IMO, really need to be "great" defenders, moreso than guards). He's a good rebounder. Good rebounding, decent defense, and so-so offense doesn't do it for me. Player 1: great inside scorer, good defender, good rebounder, very good ballhandler. Player 2: Good rebounder, decent defender, mediocre offensive player. It's not just ratings, but ratings respective to their positions. |
