Title: Raptors-Heat Complete Trade - waiting 39 Post by: RaptorsGM on March 23, 2005, 09:42:31 PM I did this for a number of reasons. 1- I felt that there would be enough decent role players in the early 2nd round this year, so I wanted to get another one of those picks. I have 3 picks in the top 10 of the 2nd round.
Also, Zhi Zhi is expiring, and gets me out from underneath the Banks deal, which was going to hurt the cap space I have after this season. The 2nd's in 07 and 08 will probably just become trade objects. So now, with Zhi Zhi hopefully shoring up my Front court, I have: Mihm/Ostertag/Zhi Zhi Boozer/Ostertag/Zhi Zhi Finley/Draft/FA Carter/Ellis/Draft-FA Cassell/Ellis/Draft-FA Best team in the League. I'm just saying, that rule didn't get changed until after we posted this, and the reason we had to go to this was because of the rule. So whatever works for you works for me.
