Crap!!!

Bird, Johnson, Natt, Tobey, Evans and Schulz all gone! And Heat swooped in and stole Pettit away!

I offered more to Natt, and he chose NOH?  :bods:

All that positioning, a young and promising team on the upswing.....damn. Back to the drawing board...

yes i did, I just went back and checked, I learned from last year and made a before and after I run the day and you offered $50 mil for 5 years correct?  it could be because Magic and Larry signed first so you had no cap room to get Paxson also

I don't know what to feel...FA sucked big time as we lost Natt (just didnt want to pay that much for no potential) and didnt pick up anything else...but with the Nets struggles in FA we probably have 2 shots at the "big 3" in this years draft

Sheesh....you're a tough one to impress! My conference finalist core is the same, I haven't and won't lose anyone all too terribly significant, and now I'm a lotto team?  :lmao:

well i was hoping to magicaly steal Larry, Shultz, Jim, Magic or Tobey but singing A+ def youngster to a reasonable contract is a great thing as well.

And from those 12 mil, we still have almost 6 to try and sign another great player to a good contract thats not one of those KingsGM loves to have of 500 billion.

I'm happy to re-sign Mike Evans, he is one of the best scoring point guards in the league and now he's a Hawk for the rest of his career, unless Darrell Walker improves into more than just a defensive guard.  Now I focus on trying to get back some of last year's guys, Shabinger, Robinson and Darko.

You are outrageous.  You'd think one of these years you'd figure out how FA worked.

As for me, that was extremely disappointing.

Yeah, its been couple of years and Ivan still didnt figure out how FA works (amoung other things).

Well I've signed Coles, Ray and Eschmeyer and I'm basically banking on potential (as much as I hate to do so)

I really hope their potential checks out or I will have to get used to losing...

I had a very nice FA, picking up 24 year old all-star Calvin Natt on what I consider to be quite a reasonable deal and resigning McCracken. Now I have to solve my PG and PF situation.

Boy am I glad to resign Beltram Shultz. I was afraid that i was going to get "edgar barnered" in this years FA.

Well, signing Shultz means two things..

Bye bye salary cap and more years of competing.. :D

Congrats to everyone who got their guys sign back with their respective teams!

Hornets are quickly becomming a contender, again, with signing Calvin Natt. His line-up of Natt-Drexler-Wilkins and Sampson is IMO, the most promising young line-up out there.

Yeah.  Natt, Sampson, 'Nique is real nice.  He just has two gaping holes at PF and PG.

IMO, Drexler is going to be something, I believe that he checked his potential out. PG position is going to be an easy hole to fill. His only problem, IMO, is the PF position. Maybe he could trade one of his babies for a good PF.

I like Reggie King for MLE

Now have to get creative with LLE and MIN

Yup.. the Reggie King signing, IMO, is one of the "steals" of FA DAY 1

You guys don't know how thrilled I really am in resigning Shultz. I gave up a lot for him, and it was really a gamble. But its nice to know that it kinda paid dividends with him carrying the load of my team to the finals last season and his willingness to resign to this sucky franchise. I was afraid that he's going to follow the path of John Tyler and not resign with my team.

I offered Reggie King a much better contract.  I am shocked he took the MLE over my offer...

Reggie King isnt worth anything more than the MLE anyway....

I agree, I considered putting in a sneaky bid like $4,600,000 for one year. But decided against it, maybe if I knew he had good potential...

Yeah, this is definitely an issue. However, next season I'll have enough cap space to offer another max deal, and maybe I'll have a couple of lotto picks in this year's draft (though the Sonics appear to have abandoned their rebuilding.)
