Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: PacersGM on March 23, 2005, 10:14:30 AM 6. Toronto Raptors - Lorenzo Ellis - Team with no real holes Cassel is in his last year so Ellis or Mercer are here the choice.
7. San Antonio Spurs - Alvin Schenk. With no real bigs left they will go for a PG. Mercer is also a possiblity here 8. Chicago Bulls - Mason Mercer - BPA at this spot and in need of a PG. With claxton already there a real small pg rotation. i predict a trade here. 9. Cleveland Cavaliers - Phillip Meyers - will move up and look out for a trade here with possible Carmello involved. 10. Detroit Pistons - LaDon Curry- big need at SG, and not the BPA. Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: HawksGM on March 23, 2005, 10:19:53 AM nice analysis, a trade w/the #9 pick involving Melo would be big...and the Cavs are already raising eyebrows talking about the best frontcourt in the league....Kenyon Martin and who???
Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: GoldenStateGM on March 23, 2005, 10:29:51 AM Nice analysis... This is probably how it will go.... Watch out for trading mania here. What a big run on PG's...

What a big run on PG's... I think 3 teams keep the pick, Spurs, Pistons and Raps probably, the other two I think will be dealt but who lands those picks could change the whole outlook of the draft Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: PacersGM on March 23, 2005, 12:57:14 PM Quote from: HawksGM nice analysis, a trade w/the #9 pick involving Melo would be big...and the Cavs are already raising eyebrows talking about the best frontcourt in the league....Kenyon Martin and who??? if i would bet i think of Z. Seatle is probably resinging him for about 4 at the max and trades him to the cavs. Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: GoldenStateGM on March 23, 2005, 01:00:00 PM Quote from: PacersGM Quote from: HawksGM nice analysis, a trade w/the #9 pick involving Melo would be big...and the Cavs are already raising eyebrows talking about the best frontcourt in the league....Kenyon Martin and who??? if i would bet i think of Z. Z can sign with however he wants, and there is no guarantee Z will sign with Seattle. Plus, Z cannot be signed by anyone until free agency begins... Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: SpursGM-old on March 23, 2005, 02:00:45 PM I predict that if Ellis is taken at #6 that the Spurs won't take a pg.
Insider info is so sweet. Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: PacersGM on March 23, 2005, 02:05:44 PM Quote from: GoldenStateGM Quote from: PacersGM Quote from: HawksGM nice analysis, a trade w/the #9 pick involving Melo would be big...and the Cavs are already raising eyebrows talking about the best frontcourt in the league....Kenyon Martin and who??? if i would bet i think of Z. Yes, but nobody's going to give seattle a draft pick on the chance the Z might resign. Spurs: not like I'd believe you even if you were serious. I'll post by twisted logic after the pick is announced. Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: NetsGM on March 23, 2005, 02:44:37 PM with gnobili and jackson already at the 2 and 3, with no good big men available, this is going to be some twisted logic me thinks.
Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: RaptorsGM on March 23, 2005, 02:55:22 PM Ellis is going at 6. You don't need to worry about that.

Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: CavsGM on March 23, 2005, 05:09:39 PM Everyone is wondering what I have in store. I like it... :)
Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: RaptorsGM on March 23, 2005, 05:41:11 PM The Suns told me what kind of offer they had, so I'm going to assume it was from you. They told me it involved certain kinds of players, and I think your roster, and your players are a perfect fit for what he described.

Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: BullsGM-old on March 23, 2005, 09:47:22 PM Rosters are updated
Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: BullsGM-old on March 23, 2005, 09:49:15 PM Curry's Defense goes down from B to B- as a PF, Griffins's ratings stay the same, so I'm probably goin to move Griffin to the PF
EDIT: I've heard that the 5 principle ratings are just the simplified version of the players actual attributes. Griffins ratings didn't, but would he still play better at his natural position? Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: NetsGM on March 23, 2005, 10:04:46 PM They are simplified versions.
Players are rated on a 1-100 scale on 17 attributes, potential, inside scoring, jumpshot, 3 pt shot, handling, quickness, passing, stealing, shotblocking, post defense, perimeter defense, drive defense, offensive rebounding, defensive rebounding, strength, jumping and scouted potential. Those ratings are then combined to form the ratings we know (inside scoring, outside scoring, handling, defense, rebounding, potential) and changed to a letter scale. So you don't know the particulars. Some improve, others don't. Usually the ratings are a good indication. Actually that might have been me :D ...but i pulled the offer off the table...at first it seemed like a great idea to have a frontcourt like that, but w/the big bucks coming Amare's way I didn't think it was beneficial enough to my team... Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: RaptorsGM on March 24, 2005, 06:50:08 AM Yeah, Amare's obviously going to command the max.
Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: BullsGM-old on March 24, 2005, 04:13:03 PM Just a suggestion, but I think there should be no more mock drafts from this point on. Now it comes down to a little scouting and keeping track whos been picked and what not, the top 10 players in the draft were obvious anyways.
Anyways, just a suggestion, I wouldn't care if a mock was posted, I would just see no point of i.t Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: HawksGM on March 24, 2005, 04:18:22 PM I found a guy I really like but it's hard to get ahold of people who have picks now in time to get the pick in....

Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: BullsGM-old on March 25, 2005, 01:00:17 PM Bah, I'm done drafting till the second round now. Training Camp couldn't come sooner :)
Title: MOCK Draft 6-10 Post by: RaptorsGM on March 25, 2005, 01:00:55 PM Yeah, I'm done til the 2nd round too, but I have 3 early seconds, and a few guys I have my eye on.
