Bit of a surprise there.

I get my choice of PGs :)

Kind of odd that the pacers traded a swingman to move up, then draft a swingman.

I mean, Diddle certainly has potential to be better than Jackson, but I'm not sure Snow is a starter.

Wow, this really is shocking, because the Pacers really need a PG. I guess they plan to get one with the MLE.

I'm very happy about this. I thought I was going to have to pick between Diddle and Mercer. Now I don't.

So you're picking Ellis? Good choice.

Sure am. A year behind Cassell is exactly what he needs.

tough to challenge the pick
easy to challenge the trade

Snow won´t start for me :D
and i moved up to get a chance at either a C or a SG because Reggie retired. So maybe Diddle can fill in for him. We will see after FA and TC.

I think Snow and Johnson could PROBABLY handle point dutites for you...but I smell a trade...

i am not sure what you smell
yea both are able to handle the pg duties.
i think diddle will be the best shooter and one of the best defenders out of this class. i was undecided between him and ellis. but i had to go for the bigger need and that were clearly shooting.
Hope i did a good job as a newbie
Can´t wait till FA starts :D

I'd take Diddle over Ellis as well.

Well remember...  The Pacers can still sign Tinsley to whateever contract he wants.   Looks like they may make a big push to keep him...

Diddle was rated better, but team needs make it Ellis as the better pick for both me and pacers, IMO.

Actually, in my rating system, Ellis is ranked higher...
Ellis may not become a great ball handler, but he will probably be a great scoring point.  That B- inside is real nice...

Why would you want a PG that is more about scoring than distributing the ball???  If you have other good players, your PG shouldn't have to score...  If you look at PG's in the draft, and base the ratings on "PG skills", Ellis is maybe the 4th best PG in the draft...  If you rate players in this draft based on "postion skills"(ex: PG = Outside, Handling, Defense), here is how the top 10 would be ranked(keep in mind potential is not a factor in this rating)

1 - Mason Mercer
2 - Oscar Ferry
3t - Tanner Houbregs
3t - Garrett Pettit
3t - Alvin Schenk
6t - Bob Diddle
6t - Troy Havlicek
8t - Ethan Terpening
8t - Lorenzo Ellis
8t - Josh Parker
11t - Emanuel Griffin (2 others tied for 11th)

Scoring points are all the rage..
And a guard with (B) (B) in both offenses is almost a guaranteed 20 ppg scorer.
And there are some PG's with B ratings who averaged over 7 apg...

It also depends on how much you weight attributes.

And that depends on the gm's preferences.

So there's no sure-fire rating.  That's why this is fun.

Ellis has a "B" handle. Which could easily go up to "B+" by the end of next years training camp/ B+ is excellent.

Ellis is the perfect fit for my team. I want to win this year, and I don't wna to try and do it with a rookie PG, so I bring in Cassell for a one year stand. Ellis learns behind him, and is ready to take over next season.
