Title: Kings - Knicks Blockbuster
Post by: KingsGM-old on April 23, 2007, 02:06:05 PM
The deal is split into 2 parts

Part 1

Kings send

ISIAH THOMAS!!!!

Knicks send

Justin Bass

Part 2

Kings send

Finley

Knicks send

Bill Laimbeer
Larry Bird

Kings agree.

Sad, sad day for this organization but this is something that had to be done. Plus, i'm getting a HOF type of lineup with this deal. Lets just hope Bird actually starts to play like he was in the past and Bill is a nice young prospect and i hope he'll turn into regular double double low post presence.

Magic Johnson
Purvis Short
Larry Bird
Bill Laimbeer
Bill Cartwright

The New Era has began. 8)

I accept. Hate to give up Laimbeer, but the negotiations for this deal had dragged on so long I finally said, what the hell, let's just get it done. I give up hella talent, but get the best player. Curious as to what other people offered. BUt wait, where's chambers in your starting 5? /jk

Curious as to what other people offered.

My main goal was to get 2 guys i really like for either Magic or Isiah. No one could've gave me that since a) a very few teams have real time players and b) others just didn't want to do that cause it would've cripled their starting unit. This was by far the best deal for me.

We'll see. Tommy will have to fight with Billy for a starting job.

Shit. I don't have a single guy under 6'8 on my roster. Gotta find a true SG.

Good luck. That's like trying to find a true center in the NBA.

I quite like thris trade for....

The Kings, sadly (since they are in my conference)
Finally gives the Kings some balance, and allows Magic to move his natural position.

Thomas turns the ball over way too much for my liking as a PG...

oops, that's the Wolves, my bad ...

anyway, this might work ... not that the Knigs will be any better, but Ivan will be interested having Magic and Bird on his roster. So the next step is clear: get a damn SG to play with them. Now wait, wasn't there once one ...

Man oh man, what would i give for a guy like Blackman now. I had him right in my hand.

Magic leading the break..who's he gonna give? Bird on the left? Blackman on the right? Or Billy inside? Sac Show Time.

You should have upped your bid.

Oh, how great will it be when Magic and/or Bird sign elsewhere this offseason!!!
