Title: Sim 2
Post by: HawksGM on April 13, 2007, 09:38:49 PM
I am going to delay it due to my mistake of not posting the DC thread last night.  For future reference anybody can start it.  It was just me in a hurry.  Since only 15 people have DC's in I will wait until tomorrow to do the sim.  I know how hard it is to dig out of an early hole.

Nope, that was my bad.  That forum had a different set of permissions on it before.  I changed it.

Knicks' D is laughably bad.
Point guard play even worse.
Cummings is the man though.

After an impressive string of four straight wins following a loss that started the sim, the Cavs dropped four straight. Coincidentally, those losses came after Fisher went down with an injury. I don't think that mattered to much though because two of them were extremely close games and the other two we just had terrible defense. Fisher is out for another 23 days unfortunately. I prefer Gragg off the bench than as a starter, but I have no choice here. The Cavs record now stands at a mediocre 9-7. Oh well, so mu pick will be a little bit better now. As long as my guys are healthy for the playoffs, we'll be fine...

I havent a clue what I can do with this team anymore. A 2-6 sim, yet I beat the Cavs?

Started nicely with 2 wins

Then both Andresen and Yao went down in that 2nd game.

So i was left with 2 frontcourt players after Ahye went down previous sim.

Went 4-3, not bad considering those 2 cripples led my team.

 Peter Humphries C 22 6'11'' 278 C+ C D C+ C B
Alton Lister PF 21 7'0'' 240 B- C- C- C C+ D

With those 2 leading my offense and frontcourt i did fantastic actually, they were horrible in almost every game.

@Magic Ouch, heavy loss. No wonder with those 2 cripples up front.

@Spurs won by 1

@Rockets Won by 30, Humphries 26/10 (I never imagined i would write that), and look at this, its insane, Steven Buehler 24 pts and 25 rebs !! He is the sickest jumping SF ever in history of SSBA.

@Spurs Another loss.

@Hawks lost by 1, Lister led with 17/14, Phelps hit triple 13/11/10 (almost quadruple with 8 tos LOL)

I guess Yao collided with Reuben went they both went down for same time.

Meh, 4-5. A LOT better than 1-6, but not what I had hoped for. More DC tweaking seems to be in order.

Can't wait for a few more sims when I break it all up and welcome one of my favorite SSBA players ever into the fold, a guy I've been after since I entered the league.

I was surprised with that too. 19 blocks :O

looking at my yteam schedule... 24 straight games at the 2nd half of the season. lol

Nice!!

Looks like this could be a fun season after all. 5-3 sim to sit at 8-6 overall.

Neither Barton nor Natt slowed their torrent paces...now 28.4ppg and 10.4apg for Barton on 52.4% shooting. 20.7ppg and 12.2rpg for Natt.

The big story is Cunningham...11.6ppg, 9.8rpg, 3.4bpg, 49.2%. T8th in blocks, easily the highest rook.

Slow pace ain't working either.

Have to change something.

Two tough losses to start the sim one by 1 point and the other by 2 points.  Then finished the sim with 6 straight wins.

We managed to lose a game where the Celtics led by 28 at the half.
This is getting ridiculous and emberrassing at the same time.

Man we suck... lol

Possibly one of the worst rosters to ever grace the SSBA...?!

Q: What happens if Devin Harris retires, RE: his contract...?

Hmm, Sim 2 went better then I expected it too...

Team really picked up the rebounding.

Mark Wootten is rebounding very well, pulling down 10.9 rpg in 31 mpg.
And Phil Hubbard...  Wow...  10.8 rebounds in 29 mpg.
And Tyson Thurmond is a great shotblocker...  2.4 bpg in 24 mpg.

My top three bigs are doing well, and the oldest is 24...

Don Collins is showing the he can be a first option...  21 ppg on 49% and 51% shooting.
Michael O'Neil needs to pick up his percentages a bit.

And Collins and O'Neil have both gotten their TO's under control.  Pretty happy with the way the youngsters are playing right now...

School shooting in VT.  Someone was looking for his GF.

We managed to lose a game where the Celtics led by 28 at the half.

Not to pour salt on the wound, but that is made all the more worse by the fact that my team is the lowest scoring team in the league at just about 85 ppg.  It takes my team about 1.5 quarters to score that many points :D
