Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 06, 2007, 03:29:39 PM Somewhat happier with the state of the Raptors now that I see what Dailey and Tucker are capable of
Cunningham showed the ability to step out and hit the trey as well as steal and block shots. Looks like he may be a pretty good career backup. Bradly put up a rather incredible 10.6ppg in 17.2mpg...will see what he can do as a starter in preseason 2 Dailey put up 18ppg but I don't think he's a starter, especially if his C+ handles are going to translate to a negative a:to Excitied about Tucker but again, not a starter unless things improve drastically When I try to click on my boxscores it keeps coming up with games I didnt particpate in Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: GoldenStateGM on April 06, 2007, 03:35:38 PM The schedule and box scores are a little messed up right now... Is it possible to fix them?
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on April 06, 2007, 03:50:14 PM yup, boxscores are missing, and these are vital ...
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 06, 2007, 04:21:55 PM What a sick backourt. Isiah & Magic combines for 44ppg, 18apg and 12rpg. To's are another story...
Chambers with nice double double 10ppg & 10rpg as a non option and Billy Cartwright with a solid 17 & 8. Defense still sucks as expected but it think it will be a fun season. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: GrizzliesGM on April 06, 2007, 04:26:38 PM Yeah, I do have to admit that you have put together a very nice starting lineup. Wanna trade me Magic
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on April 06, 2007, 04:38:08 PM 5-3, nothing bad or great.
Whata game vs Rockets 143-136, WOW. Yao seems tired a bit, playing just 30mpg, still great tough. Andresen is a fantastic MLE pickup, 10.4rpg 1.3bpg 1spg 1.6topg on .483, really like him. Lister did well as a backup PF/C but his offense is crap. Ill try Ahye again. Phelps did well on high topg as usual, Buehler is an SG/SF animal, 10.9rpg !! great offense as well. Hyatt is great on offense, Peck needs to step up a bit. Im pleased with my PGs. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on April 06, 2007, 04:40:36 PM ...and Humphries was listed as Yao-s backup but he played 0 minutes, uhhhh ?? how ?
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 06, 2007, 07:54:42 PM Yeah, I do have to admit that you have put together a very nice starting lineup. Wanna trade me Magic  If they could only perform like in real life. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: HeatGM on April 06, 2007, 09:14:20 PM wow...ivan piatkowski should be a candidate for the 6th man award...averaging 13ppg on the bench
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: WizardsGM on April 06, 2007, 09:30:12 PM wow...ivan piatkowski should be a candidate for the 6th man award...averaging 13ppg on the bench McHale is avg 14.5/9.0 off the bench Buck Williams is great, Priddy rebounds well, I just have to tweak some things. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 06, 2007, 09:32:03 PM the boxscores will be key...hopefully they are attainable
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: NetsGM on April 06, 2007, 10:44:06 PM FBB is f$%ing weird.
Approximately the same settings as the last two years (different offensive focus is the only thing I can point to), and during this sim we give up about 12 less ppg with our best defending big man on the bench and starting a defensive sieve at the three :bods: Michael Brooks was fine, though not dominant as a scoring threat at the 2 - liked how he kept his TO's down. Kyle Macy was pretty excellent at the point putting up just shy of 20/8 and a better than 3:1 assist to turnover ratio. I wonder what he can do as a two guard, and will find out soon. Zollner is a nice shot blocker, so he might get a chance to start so I can slide Gminski to the bench, where he was solid this sim, for a little scoring punch there. Lenard was solid, and I was pleased with Gary Macauleys 12/10 as a starter and non-option. 7-5 is a bit of a pedestrian record, but not too bad all in all. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: HawksGM on April 07, 2007, 06:06:01 AM there was a little problem with the boxscores, will be fixed at about 3pm today. Still plenty of tiem to analyze before Monday's sim.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 07, 2007, 06:50:25 AM Isiah #1 in apg, #9 in spg
Magic #7 in ppg Chambers #9 in rpg Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: WizardsGM on April 07, 2007, 12:31:36 PM Isiah Tied for #2 in Turnovers :moon:
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 07, 2007, 12:33:30 PM I can live with that if he's going to give me 18/13 every night.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: HornetsGM on April 07, 2007, 12:35:40 PM Eh, pretty much what I expected. My 1sts this year are looking pretty good, with mine and the Rockets'. Jeff Robertson is scoring 28 ppg
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 07, 2007, 12:44:05 PM "Oh, it's definitely a place where i would to play, or finish my career, absolutely" - Said Wilkins after the preaseason game against the Kings.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: MavsGM on April 07, 2007, 12:51:48 PM Bailey Tobey= :hail: 30/10. Is this the year for Tobey to break-out? Dennis Mangrum was an excellent pickup and replacement for Harris. Rookie Russ Charles will bring some scoring off the bench but needs to work on his FT. Jordan Payton also had a nice preseason .554/.917/.476. Cannot work to see the boxscores.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: PacersGM on April 07, 2007, 01:15:47 PM nice start into the season.. holding the best record is a joke... :lol2:
nice to see that we aren´t even in the season and other gm posting that they will aim for the worst record :bash: Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 07, 2007, 01:22:03 PM we aren´t even in the season and other gm posting that they will aim for the worst record That's pretty dumb, and unnecessary statement. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: HornetsGM on April 07, 2007, 04:30:19 PM nice start into the season.. holding the best record is a joke... :lol2: nice to see that we aren´t even in the season and other gm posting that they will aim for the worst record :bash: What are you talking about? Who said that? Do you want me to say that we're competing for a title, that we are aiming for the playoffs? I'm realistic. My team is crap and there's little I can do about it except draft well and build through FA. That's what I tried to do in the off-season with limited results because of the weak draft class and FA class. Get real. I'm gonna be a bottom 5 team this year. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: NetsGM on April 07, 2007, 04:50:42 PM Boxscores are up. You can view them at two locations, either under the files archive:
http://files.ssbabasketball.com/files/preseason/2019/ Or under preseason: http://preseason.ssbabasketball.com/2019/ Boxes are up at both, and will remain there (the stuff at rosters.ssbabasketball.com will be updated when the next sim is run). Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 07, 2007, 05:05:30 PM One game stands out to me...
110 83 win against the Hornets, where it was all about the rookies! Dailey- 33 mins, 27 pts (11-16, 3-3, 2-3), 5 rebs, 4 asts, 2 stls Tucker- 34 mins, 26 pts (11-22, 0-2, 4-6), 5 rebs, 2 asts, 2 stls Floyd- 32 mins, 15 pts (6-12, 1-3, 2-2), 13 asts, 3 rebs, 4 stls Cunningham- 34 mins, 13 pts (4-6, 1-1, 4-5), 10 rebs, 1 ast, 2 stls, 2 blks Favre- 32 mins, 12 pts (5-11, 0-0, 2-6), 8 rebs, 2 asts, 3 stls Most excitied right now about Cunningham - he had a couple real, real good games. And wow, Natt played amazing - consistently among the leaders in scoring on his team despite coming off the bench Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: Str8westcoasta on April 08, 2007, 05:29:10 AM Devin Harris killed it with 28.7ppg
Ricky Pierce looks promising with a solid 11.7ppg and 5rpg A part from that my pick will be lotto... enjoy whoever has is! ~RocketsGM Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: MagicGM on April 08, 2007, 05:43:39 AM can't wait to have jeff on my team :D
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 08, 2007, 02:25:08 PM Isiah is the king of sim universe. 2 straight games with 18 dimes.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 08, 2007, 04:17:09 PM How can the king of the sim universe be a PG leading his team to a *dominant* 8-7 record?
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 08, 2007, 06:21:45 PM How can the king of the sim universe be a PG leading his team to a *dominant* 8-7 record? I don't have any defense. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: JazzGM-old on April 08, 2007, 06:49:49 PM How can the king of the sim universe be a PG leading his team to a *dominant* 8-7 record? I don't have any defense. Have you looked at your team's defensive ratings? Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 08, 2007, 06:57:34 PM Sure i did. And i don't like them much.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 08, 2007, 07:06:24 PM How can the king of the sim universe be a PG leading his team to a *dominant* 8-7 record? I don't have any defense. Have you looked at your team's defensive ratings? The stats don't lie...he's 4th last in oPPG. Of course that probably has more to do with the settings he is playing with than the player's ability to defend Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 08, 2007, 07:16:06 PM I don't think there's anything wrong with the settins. Good defensive teams should work under NORMAL settings (press, trap and pace).
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 08, 2007, 07:20:17 PM I don't think there's anything wrong with the settins. Good defensive teams should work under NORMAL settings (press, trap and pace). Press, trap and pace should be tinkered with to utilize your teams strengths. If I was coaching your team I would not be using normal, as I do not believe it is the best way to utilize your teams strengths. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 08, 2007, 07:41:59 PM Thing about pace is, i'm already turning the ball way too many times, if i go with faster it would only get worse.
As far as trap and press is concerned, i don't like to make them tired so i just stick with normal. But i'll probably give it a try. Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on April 08, 2007, 07:48:34 PM Actually i'm pretty sure my main blow on defense is the frontcourt. Chambers is still not ready and it's kinda undersized for a PF and Billy Cartwright isn't much of a defender as well. Could really use a great shotblocker & defender at C so i could move Billy to PF and Chambers to SF which would boost both, defense and rebounds.
Title: Re: Pre-Season Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on April 08, 2007, 07:50:54 PM Settings are all about trial and error...just sticking with normal doesn't always get it done - I tried to do so for a long time
I have a few general conceptions about what sort of players thrive under certain settings...but it's mostly just a case of me stumbling upon the right ones. |
