What a difference 1 year makes.  Last season I sign Shireman for the MLE.  This year he gets a 3 year contract starting at $8 mil.


No signings by the Spurs.  But then to seriously offer the MLE you have to wait for day 1 to shake out the top players and let cap room get eaten up.

Anyways, Corzine snubbed my offer, and I thought I had a legit shot at him after offering many more years and many more dollars. I wasn't willing to really max out Gatling, and that's a huge deal he got (so I wouldn't feel too bad Nuggets). Robertson is a money-grubbing jerk with regressing defence, so good luck with him Hornets. And just like that, the cream of the free agent crop is gone.

Damn... I had no offers. I am very very busy with work these weeks. And I noticed on the calendar that today, March 30th, would be FA day 1. But sims are at night right? So I figured I could enter my bids after work.

Wohoo...made only 1 offer and got a player i wanted. Nice, finally a real starting SF. I like Purvis, if he improves his defense he could be a great starting SF for years to come.

Very happy to get Barton signed up, as he will certainly be an MVP candidate for years to come.

Of course, either Barton or Max will more than likely need to be traded...so if someone wants to shock me with an offer for Barton in the next 24 hrs I will entertain it.

He still has over $15 million in cap space.  It's not an either/or situation.

I was able to resign Arenas for 2 years. I paid a lot for him but I have no intentions of ever going into fa with cap space. I also got Lavar Piatkowski for the MLE who i like for his A rated defense. He should be a key backup for me this year if he doesnt decline too much in TC.

I am really upset that the rockets grabbed Omeara away from me. I have had him sitting on my roster the past two seasons and really wanted to get him back because I think he will turn out to be a decent starter.

I'm glad to welcome Gresham back again, he's been a nice guard for me in past years. Mihm is probably a little overpaid, but I liked his versatility as a 1, 2 or a 3 which will help supplement my bench considerably with his B+ defense and A- handles. 1 more roster spot open, I hope I can draw some luck to this winning squad.

I would like to thank Devin Harris for his fourteen years of services for the Dallas organization.  We will retire his jersey # on opening day.  He got the ring he wanted, he has to do what's best for him and his family and still live in Texas.  Hope Fank Johnson is ready to run the point.

whoa, I didn't even offer this!  I offered 3 years @ max.  Either I did something wrong, or it was entered in wrong, but in my bid history it says 3 years max.   :shock:

oops, that was me, I just went back and reviewed the offers, and it was my mistake, I will knock off the other 4 years to his deal.

I definitely am glad I didnt sign Gatling to that much, I thought it would start around 16-17mil. Lucked out by Hawks' error thankfully.

That's a bit of a shame. You never know - and probably not, but he might have liked another offer better (some were longer and bigger overal) and run with it.
