I just cant win in FA and its starting to anger me. :bash:
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: MavsGM on March 30, 2007, 01:32:31 PM 2019 181 Rockets Sign PG Devin Harris for $114,975,000 over 6 years.
Overpaid big time for a 34 years old. He has two good years left at the most. Trade O'Connell for Harris? :lol2: Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: SpursGM-old on March 30, 2007, 01:35:14 PM What a difference 1 year makes. Last season I sign Shireman for the MLE. This year he gets a 3 year contract starting at $8 mil.
No signings by the Spurs. But then to seriously offer the MLE you have to wait for day 1 to shake out the top players and let cap room get eaten up. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: HawksGM on March 30, 2007, 01:37:48 PM i accidentally deleted jeremy munson off the gm actions fa list. any new offers or updates foe him pm me
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: KnicksGM-old4 on March 30, 2007, 01:38:37 PM I thought that having Jesus on my team might help in the Barton sweepstakes, but i guess not. Happy to get Plan B, Shireman.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: BlazersGM on March 30, 2007, 01:39:06 PM great, got my starting C again in FA, hopefully he wont downgrade as Rubini did last year in TC, still very very happy with my signing.
Gatling earning 200 millions, what has the world become ? Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on March 30, 2007, 01:42:26 PM Actually, do not PM any offers on Munson to Hawks. None. :lmao:
Anyways, Corzine snubbed my offer, and I thought I had a legit shot at him after offering many more years and many more dollars. I wasn't willing to really max out Gatling, and that's a huge deal he got (so I wouldn't feel too bad Nuggets). Robertson is a money-grubbing jerk with regressing defence, so good luck with him Hornets. And just like that, the cream of the free agent crop is gone. Back to the old drawing board. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: PacersGM on March 30, 2007, 01:50:53 PM kings signed purvis short for 6 years???? :D
i hope there is a trade to follow otherwise i can´t believe that ivan is still serious with this. and raptors getting their 400th pg won´t help them really.. and rockets offering harris so much money.. barton is so much better why did they go for harris?? Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: ClippersGM-old on March 30, 2007, 01:56:01 PM Damn... I had no offers. I am very very busy with work these weeks. And I noticed on the calendar that today, March 30th, would be FA day 1. But sims are at night right? So I figured I could enter my bids after work.
Sucks, but oh well. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on March 30, 2007, 01:59:25 PM kings signed purvis short for 6 years???? :D That's only about 50 million in wasted salary....he's worth 10....dont you think? :cheers:i hope there is a trade to follow otherwise i can´t believe that ivan is still serious with this. and raptors getting their 400th pg won´t help them really.. and rockets offering harris so much money.. barton is so much better why did they go for harris?? Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: KingsGM-old on March 30, 2007, 02:04:39 PM Wohoo...made only 1 offer and got a player i wanted. Nice, finally a real starting SF. I like Purvis, if he improves his defense he could be a great starting SF for years to come.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: MavsGM on March 30, 2007, 02:06:15 PM Wohoo...made only 1 offer and got a player i wanted. Nice, finally a real starting SF. He has the same D when he was a rookie what make you thing he will improve now?Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: KingsGM-old on March 30, 2007, 02:07:50 PM I don't care. He was a very good player in real life. He's good here as well.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on March 30, 2007, 02:09:14 PM i accidentally deleted jeremy munson off the gm actions fa list. any new offers or updates foe him pm me actually, they can just enter his name into "Custom FA" and it'll show up in the system. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on March 30, 2007, 02:09:34 PM For Pete's sake, I max out Barton and Gatling and still come up short. I just cant win in FA and its starting to anger me. :bash: You're not the only one. That FA sucked. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on March 30, 2007, 02:10:23 PM Munson will now show up in the FA List. Don't PM offers to Hawks.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: RaptorsGM on March 30, 2007, 02:12:45 PM Yay!
Very happy to get Barton signed up, as he will certainly be an MVP candidate for years to come. Of course, either Barton or Max will more than likely need to be traded...so if someone wants to shock me with an offer for Barton in the next 24 hrs I will entertain it. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: NetsGM on March 30, 2007, 02:13:33 PM 2019 181 Rockets Sign PG Devin Harris for $114,975,000 over 6 years. Overpaid big time for a 34 years old. He has two good years left at the most. Trade O'Connell for Harris? :lol2: He still has over $15 million in cap space. It's not an either/or situation. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: GrizzliesGM on March 30, 2007, 02:15:12 PM I was able to resign Arenas for 2 years. I paid a lot for him but I have no intentions of ever going into fa with cap space. I also got Lavar Piatkowski for the MLE who i like for his A rated defense. He should be a key backup for me this year if he doesnt decline too much in TC.
I am really upset that the rockets grabbed Omeara away from me. I have had him sitting on my roster the past two seasons and really wanted to get him back because I think he will turn out to be a decent starter. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: JazzGM-old on March 30, 2007, 03:14:19 PM I'm glad to welcome Gresham back again, he's been a nice guard for me in past years. Mihm is probably a little overpaid, but I liked his versatility as a 1, 2 or a 3 which will help supplement my bench considerably with his B+ defense and A- handles. 1 more roster spot open, I hope I can draw some luck to this winning squad.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: MavsGM on March 30, 2007, 03:40:41 PM I would like to thank Devin Harris for his fourteen years of services for the Dallas organization. We will retire his jersey # on opening day. He got the ring he wanted, he has to do what's best for him and his family and still live in Texas. Hope Fank Johnson is ready to run the point.
Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: GoldenStateGM on March 30, 2007, 03:42:42 PM Wow... Offered Corzine alot more money and year then he accepted...
Ah well.... Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: WolvesGM-old on March 30, 2007, 05:11:16 PM 2019 181 Timberwolves Sign SG Patrick Gatling for $193,661,016 over 7 years.
whoa, I didn't even offer this! I offered 3 years @ max. Either I did something wrong, or it was entered in wrong, but in my bid history it says 3 years max. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: CelticsGM on March 30, 2007, 07:45:25 PM glad to have Perry back, after last year's debacle on my own this time.
and a nice expiring is here too. 2 done, 2 to go ! Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: HawksGM on March 31, 2007, 09:15:56 AM 2019 181 Timberwolves Sign SG Patrick Gatling for $193,661,016 over 7 years. whoa, I didn't even offer this! I offered 3 years @ max. Title: Re: Day 1 FA Results Post by: WizardsGM on March 31, 2007, 09:19:05 AM I definitely am glad I didnt sign Gatling to that much, I thought it would start around 16-17mil. Lucked out by Hawks' error thankfully.
