Title: Free Agency
Post by: GoldenStateGM on March 27, 2007, 12:09:30 PM
The free agency option has been eliminated from my GM actions.
It is coming up quick, could we put that in, or is Free Agency going to be handled in a different way?

PM them to HawksGM.

The old way took quite a bit of manual database manipulation that HawksGM doesn't have access to.

By next year I hope to have something up.  But for this year it's gotta be sent to HawksGM.

Does HawksGM have access to update the main page (as in updating the next sim date, etc) ?

the next sim date and all that is just editing the title of:

It pulls the data from the subject line.  So yeah, he does have access to that.  I'll have to PM him.

I am going to input some of the bids now, to get a head start.  Because of the way we are set up I can do this and then view your updated bids if you update them.  I am going to have to DISABLE THE ABILITY TO PUT BIDS IN.  If you need to get them in now, pm me and I will update them when I input the changes tomorrow.  25 of the teams already have bids in, I am just going to try and knock a bunch out now.

Dont blame you. Day 1 of Free Agency is probably the most work-filled commishing event in the league.

enabled again, RETURN TO BIDDING

Let me know if something got screwed up when I did that with anyone's bids.  Derek is a wiz, he has made this very easy on me.

The process is much better than PM'submissions, but it can still use some fine-tuning.  Now that I'm not doing the day to day work of commish, I can spend more time making little toys to make your life easier :)
