I think the combination of having a chance at getting someone decent with the pick next year, and having 2.5 mil more in precious cap space was too much to pass up. Deal. He's already shown some good shot-blocking ability, rebounds at a decent clip and won't kill me from the line like many bigs do.
I don't like his zero-net-improvement last TC, but hopefully that changes this year and the next two. And since I plan to make the playoffs this year, the pick should be in the 20 range, where I see the odds being about 30-70 that I could get a guy of his calibre anyway.
