Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: MagicGM on March 15, 2007, 06:37:24 AM farthest the team has gone for a while now. hopefully, we can make the finals but the wizards are a tough opponent too.
played just as good as anyone. lucky to have ended on top. nice series, bulls. Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: WolvesGM on March 15, 2007, 08:44:42 AM Whoa.... whata series.... 7games and it comes down to a 1point game.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 15, 2007, 09:04:46 AM That was a REAL GOOD one, props to the Nets for taking me to the limit.
First game went to OT, and my hero was Tyler with a triple double: 28pts, 12reb and 14blk (!!!). He also held Gminski to 7-26 shooting. Next game the Nets again stormed back in the 4th to take a 2pt win after tyler was limited to 18min with foul trouble. Then a blowout in Jersey. Lets forget that one. Being down 1-2 in the series and facing a 7pt deficit in the 4th quarter, Perry and Chills went to work, forcing OT with a 38pt quarter and later providing the 130-127 win, hitting 6 of 10 from long range. Tied 2-2 game 5 was a must win, and finally the Celtics didn't disappoint. Tyler with 18/12 and 7 blocks led the way to an easier win. Just 7 TOs show how it's done. Back in Jersey for game 6 the team finally provided an all-around effort after halftime, scoring 71 pts, shooting a series best 54% and taking home a 7pt victory and the series win 4-2. Overall in the series Chills, Tyler and Dirk were amazing. Childress led our scoring with 23ppg, 7rpg and 1.7blk, shooting 48% while Tyler finished with 16/10 and 6.7bpg !!! Old man Dirk again shot great, 16ppg on 55% from the field and 53% from 3pt. And he held King to 11ppg on 35% shooting, sometimes it's hard to forget he's 38 yrs of age already ... Next up: Cavs. 8) Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on March 15, 2007, 10:08:14 AM Celtics went to the 2nd round? What kinda playoffs is this?
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: SpursGM-old on March 15, 2007, 10:24:37 AM Went the distance with the Mavs with the home team winning every game. Haven't looked at individual performances yet. But with my starting PF & C both out...and losing another big man (Pollard) for games 5 & 6, this showing give me hope that my team is going in the right direction.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on March 15, 2007, 11:18:47 AM Well, i wont lie, im shocked at this easy win. We were 1-3 in regular season vs Suns, 3 of them were blowouts, but i adjusted the game to tactics from the only sim were we beat the Suns, and ive changed Buehler to guard GP on SG and he went down again for 2 games to make things easier for us a bit as we met for 2nd time, and moved Phelps on SF, gaved Livingston 1st option to lead the team with his as well height advantage and it worked just perfectly with a bit of bad luck from Suns. Boozer worked great as 3rd option.
Game 1 102-94 Livinstone was shining with 28/6/8, Kirk couldnt do a thing, Buehler held GP on 10-27 while shooting great himself 9-17 for 21 pts and 10 rebs. Phelps added 17/10 and Booz 15/12. Game 2 GP got injured but game was a really thriller, in the end we came out as 79-77 winners. Boozer 20/14, Livy 19/11 and Buehler 12/9 3blks 2stls led the team to a crucial win. Game 3 @101-95 ... Shaun 22/8, Phelps 19/11 and Boozer 18/17 cruised us past GP less Suns in Phoenix. Game 4 84-106 .... GP was back for Suns and with a near triple double we got trashed. Game 5 @98-97 ....another thriller in Phoenix, Suns had a chance for a full come back, but the BIG 4 did fantastic job and Phelps pulled a 3 pointer with 0:01 to take us to semi's. Buehler once again did great job on Pettit, held him to 9-27 FG and 3-10 3pt. Phelps led the team with 31/6/5 but Steven was the real deal. 24 points, 18 rebs, 2 steals on 11-24 and more important, great D on Pettit. Livingston had 7 steals and Booz ended with 15/13. Now comes the Jazz, they got 2 easy wins during regular season and we got 2 as well but hard, they were very close. Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: MavsGM on March 15, 2007, 11:50:15 AM Almost another early exist for the Mavs. We played our best game in game 7.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: PacersGM on March 15, 2007, 12:08:59 PM Celtics went to the 2nd round? What kinda playoffs is this? hey look at the boxscores then you will understand... nets could have won easy... Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 15, 2007, 12:46:27 PM exactly. they only would have had to beat me 4 times ...
:lol2: btw, Pacers, we don't expect anything more from Ivan, but didn't your posts be meaningful once? Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on March 15, 2007, 01:00:57 PM jesus, i just noticed Livingstone has been SG for the entire season and i didnt even notice it LOL. I need new glasses.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 15, 2007, 01:10:52 PM jesus, i just noticed Livingstone has been SG for the entire season and i didnt even notice it LOL. I need new glasses. I hope this is a rhetorical remark ...8) since the position Livingston is listed on your roster has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with any play action! I assumed it's common knowledge already the roster is for INFORMATION purposes only, to see how some player WOULD play at certain positions. Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on March 15, 2007, 02:02:27 PM yeah, i just found it funny i didnt notice his listed position the entire season.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on March 15, 2007, 03:39:41 PM I'm pullin for the Mavs this year to win it all.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: MavsGM on March 15, 2007, 04:03:11 PM I'm pullin for the Mavs this year to win it all. :lol2: My team will have a hard time getting pass the Wolves if we played like that against the Spurs.Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: SunsGM on March 15, 2007, 05:30:35 PM good series Blazers, I did have some unlucky breaks, but hopefully my team will be back next season. good luck to everyone left in the playoffs
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: WolvesGM-old on March 15, 2007, 05:52:00 PM Wolves defeat Rockets in 7 games. I won the first 3, they won the next 3 and I won game 7... helluva series... On to Round 2 vs the Mavs.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: BullsGM-old2 on March 15, 2007, 06:42:42 PM i made some depth chart changes to try and stop melo and dwight. i put corzine on dwight and dudley bradley on melo. neither worked and brice did a great job on milner. my hat is off to the magic, they have a very tough squad.
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: HeatGM on March 15, 2007, 07:47:53 PM ooppssss..... i wasnt able to set my depthchart :D i was too busy with my studies... anyway congratz to the wiz.... :D
Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: NetsGM on March 15, 2007, 08:56:03 PM Congrats, Tom and the C's. A hard fought series with some nice close games.
Chills had to be player of the series....consistently and efficiently outplayed his counterpart just enough to make wins happen- veteran savvy over youthful enthusiasm. Mike Gminski was in tough with Tyler/Jamal, and battled admirably, but was rendered "less than effective" often enough. Future is still looking bright enough....I just wish there woulda been another round in the present. Good luck to the Elite 8. Title: Re: Playoffs Round 1 Up Post by: MagicGM on March 15, 2007, 09:05:17 PM i made some depth chart changes to try and stop melo and dwight. i put corzine on dwight and dudley bradley on melo. neither worked and brice did a great job on milner. my hat is off to the magic, they have a very tough squad. I think Fox at SG hurted your team the most. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: NetsGM on March 16, 2007, 05:36:20 AM Round 2 finished.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: MagicGM on March 16, 2007, 06:47:33 AM whew. we had a scare. mccracken showed his` wares and won't give up his spot to holton, i'll go with a risk :( mccracken deserves this.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: HawksGM on March 16, 2007, 08:07:21 AM It should be a great conference final in the east, I'm think it will be a good series.
Magic in 7 is my prediction, Dwight is too good. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: MagicGM on March 16, 2007, 08:47:47 AM hopefully, but despite berkowitz being down, I still find no holes on their team.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: BlazersGM on March 16, 2007, 11:06:18 AM issshhh....great series Jazz ! Buehler went completely nuts few times.
lost 1st in Salty Lake, then won a crucial one, Buehler had 22 rebs in game 2. Game 3 was amazing, 132-125 win, no defense from either team. Phelps ended with 44 points, Livingstone with 23 and 19 assists + 5 steals. Boozer with 19/19 and Buehler with 15/17. Game 4 was another thriller, but we came out as winners 119-118. Steven was fantastic again, 31 pts 17 rebs 2a 1stl and blk, Livingston followed with 29~7~16 5stls. Game 5 back in SLC was a pure disaster, team shot 30 FG 23 3pts and 65 FT and Jazz came out easy winners 76-96. Game 6 105-84 Too easy win considering first 3 hard battle wins and we-ve made it to our 3rd CFs. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: MavsGM on March 16, 2007, 12:56:47 PM Another game 7 victory for the Mavs. My team must be really tired.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: BlazersGM on March 16, 2007, 02:08:58 PM It shall be very interesting series i believe Mavs, i just hope it goes 7 in my way heheh. However regular season is scaring me. We won 3 games pretty easily 104-83, 108-92, 117-103, one you played without Emeka, and we lost one in Portland 111-113 without Boozer, like ive said, i dont like it, something stinks in there, it should-ve been that easy, i know its POs, another story, but still. Anyway i just hope my guys can play great road bball like they did in those 2 easy wins in Dallas, if they do it again, we have a chance maybe, if not, who knows, maybe we-ll be swept by Dallas, everythings possible.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: MavsGM on March 16, 2007, 02:25:22 PM We didn't play well until the last three sims, I probably will change some things up when I scout you team more later on.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: BlazersGM on March 16, 2007, 02:28:41 PM me on contrary, we played well but as the season was closing we played bad and almost felt out of POs despite holding #2 all season until last sim. Anyway itll be interesting series i believe.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: CavsGM on March 16, 2007, 04:07:11 PM Good luck magic. Should be a great series.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 2 Up] Post by: CelticsGM on March 16, 2007, 07:11:22 PM man, i can't believe I lost that series. what a missed opportunity to advance here.
lost 3 tight games in Cleveland, and in ALL THREE the Celtics were leading after 3 quarters. we really should have ended this in 4 or 5 games, especially with Berkowits being out this one is hard to swallow. Anyway, good luck to Cavs and Magic (especially them, i don't see them beating the depth of the Cavs). Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 3 Delayed] Post by: NetsGM on March 16, 2007, 08:27:45 PM Hey guys,
I'm not going to be able to get to the sim today. I'm actually not going to be able to make it home due to weather complications. so it's been delayed until tomorrow afternoon. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 3 Delayed] Post by: BlazersGM on March 16, 2007, 10:12:55 PM No problem Bods, its heavy snow there or rain ?
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 3 Delayed] Post by: CavsGM on March 16, 2007, 10:37:37 PM Freaking ice. It's ridiculous. Almost 80 degrees the other day, and now this crap...

Awful weather !! man, I'd rather have snow than the heat here :(Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 3 Delayed] Post by: BlazersGM on March 17, 2007, 10:29:33 PM well its actually unusual weather here, its maybe hot like that 10 days a year, just this year was like 1 month because of all weather shit thats going on around the world, usually its eternal spring here, rarely above 25 C during the day, as low as 8 C at night in winter and 18 C in summer. Good thing is there-s always wind and beach is just 70km away in the suburb :p

Next up, games 1-3 of the finals. Good luck to all. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: MagicGM on March 18, 2007, 09:17:41 AM well shit:( robbed
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: BlazersGM on March 18, 2007, 10:30:35 AM fuckin Phelps, i precisely told him that he is not option nr.1 but damn boy kept shooting the ball like a maniac and screwed everything up with his 5-25 perfomances, went 3 down, came back to 2-3 and had a chance in Portland for game 7 but Mavs somehow pulled it.
Anyway, congrats Mavs and bring the title back to West, good luck !! Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: MavsGM on March 18, 2007, 05:00:23 PM Good series Blazers, I don't know why you don't want Phelps to be your #1 option, he killed us in the regular season. Now onto the Finals and $50 gm points on the line, hopefully we can take advantage of Antone Berkowitz out for 6 days.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Round 3 Delayed] Post by: HeatGM on March 18, 2007, 08:19:37 PM It's spring here. Just beautifull. lucky bastard.... i just spent 2hours digging my car out and another hour shoveling today.... its not even snow, its ice.... only 3 hours of rebuilding out of scap metals? boy you are a gifted child promil user since birth... :D Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: BlazersGM on March 18, 2007, 11:12:26 PM why you don't want Phelps to be your #1 option, he killed us in the regular season. Yeah he did, but Livingston was playing fantastic POs and he did even better job during regular season then Phelps, not as many points, but better overall, and Phelps wasted too many balls in this series, i believe we had a better shot if Livingston took more responsability, but anyway thats all past, good luck in finals and bring that title back to where it belongs, and thats WEST !! Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: CelticsGM on March 19, 2007, 04:14:46 AM Livingston? You put your season in the hands of Livi? Tell me that's not true ...
anyway ... Just like i thought, the Cavs just used their depth to easily beat the Magic. Howard is nice and pretty much hard to stop, but Humphries is a very underrated defender (no idea where his rating is from) and can play on both ends of the floor. But the difference was Ricky Fisher ouplaying brice badly in games 4-6 and Melo having a subpar series - which is bad when you only have 2 people who can score at all (guess there's a reason why he has so many awards and zero titles). The finals look to be a good one though. The Mavs have nobody to stop Manning, the Cavs are 8 deep even without Berko, and Robinson isn't exactly Keogans favourite opponent, but if Harris should take care of Fisher and the PF matchup will be even. So IF (big IF) Tobey can get the better of Adams and Emeka/Keogan provide enough 30pt scoring games (in the SAME game) then the Mavs have a legitimate chance. Otherwise it's all Cavs. Prediction: Cavs in 5. It took quite some time to put it together, but the Cavs TEAM is awesome. Not on an individual basis, but as a whole. Their 2nd unit of Griffin/Humphries/McCracken/Meyers/Gomes could probably make the playoffs in the West, that's how deep they are. Marvelous GM job. :hail: Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: WizardsGM on March 19, 2007, 10:46:40 AM Global Warming is throwing everything to the crapper
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: BlazersGM on March 19, 2007, 12:36:46 PM He took me past Suns and Jazz so why not Mavs as well ? If only Phelps took less shots and gave few of those to Livy or others things mightve gone in other direction, if i knew Phelps would shot that much i would put him on SG and not SF.
Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Conference Finals Finished] Post by: CavsGM on March 19, 2007, 03:11:33 PM Just like i thought, the Cavs just used their depth to easily beat the Magic. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Finals gm 1-3 finished] Post by: CelticsGM on March 20, 2007, 02:55:23 AM Nice job so far, Mavs.
They now hold the keys to the title (but just one Cavs win in next 2 games and we're heading back to CLE) And IF the series moves back, it will be interesting to see what impact Berkowitz can have in games 6 and 7. Still believe Cavs in 7, but I would love to see a new champ ... Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Finals gm 1-3 finished] Post by: HawksGM on March 20, 2007, 11:36:25 AM FYI, the calendar will be updated in a few minutes, draft will be pushed back due to the sim being pushed back.

Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Finals Finished] Post by: CelticsGM on March 21, 2007, 08:27:54 AM Surprise surprise.
I will now swallow my own words from a few seasons ago: Jeremy Palacio DOES have some value. He slowed down Manning considerably and this might have thrown the Cavs offense out of sync. Of course, Emeka and Tobey killing the Cavs on the boards in Berkowitz' absence didn't hurt either ... Congratulations Mavs on a true dominant performance ... and who would have guessed the Cavs stint on top would be such a brief one. Emmanuel's retirement is huge I believe, and with most of their starters in the 30ies already it will be interesting to see how they can regroup. Title: Re: Playoffs Discussion [Finals Finished] Post by: GrizzliesGM on March 21, 2007, 08:52:57 AM Nice job Mavs! You really put together a great team.
