Title: Sim 12 Up Post by: NetsGM on March 12, 2007, 10:46:32 PM Some major injuries for the playoffs, unfortunately.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: WizardsGM on March 12, 2007, 11:19:51 PM Who cares, I didnt make it :bods:
Finished a solid 42-40 for my first winning seasong but its not enough. And hopefully the same holds true for the Nuggets in real life  Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: CavsGM on March 12, 2007, 11:35:42 PM Lol, looks like the Magic are trying to prove something. Had an amazing sim, winning the first 8 games each by a double digit margin, including a ridiculous 45 point blowout of the Heat. But then the Magic came in and beat us in the 9th game, the final one of the season. If we meet in the conference finals, it should be interesting...Anyway, the team was still able to break the 60 win mark, reaching 62 Is there a list of the all-time top SSBA records? I know I'm not #1, but I'd like to see where I rank.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: MagicGM on March 12, 2007, 11:37:44 PM damn. Gaylor is more effective at the C. haha.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: JazzGM-old on March 12, 2007, 11:49:54 PM The Hawks get denied for perhaps their best season as of yet. Bryon Thomas getting a nod for the Jazz, getting 2nd all-rookie team as a back-up. Also worth noting that this is the first year the Hornets will not be in the playoffs.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: MagicGM on March 12, 2007, 11:53:29 PM Just noticed that Dwight finally got was rightfully was his last year :D
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: PacersGM on March 13, 2007, 03:22:50 AM wow i am in the POs again... :bounce: sorry hawks i thought this would be your year.
peters earned all league first honors... hey he took it away from magic :lmao:. and no shotgun award not even in the rookie second team :lol2: next are cavs. i hope i can find a lineup to make it tough for them after several sleepless nights. Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: HeatGM on March 13, 2007, 03:27:48 AM tough matchup for me against the wiz...where can we post the playoffs depthchart?

I know I'm not #1, but I'd like to see where I rank. In 4 consecutive years, I won: 2009: 66-16 2010: 65-17 2011: 66-16 2012: 65-17 I'm pretty sure the Hornets have probably gotten over 62 as well. Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 13, 2007, 07:35:28 AM wow, what a finish to the season.
The Celtics continue to stink on the road, shooting in the low 30ies there repeatedly. That said, it's AMAZING how the season ended: We only got a 4-4 sim but still finished in a 3-way with Nets and Heat, thanks in large to an unbelievable choke job from the Heat (They came in winners of 12 of their last 16 only to go 2-6 with losses to Clippers and Nuggets, and now do not face my weak Celtics at home but the Wiz on the road. Now call that a major turnaround ...). Holding the tiebreaker we now have homecourt against the Nets. Love that, being 32-9 at home. Have to analyze deeper later on, but for now i'm glad to start the playoffs injury-free. :-) Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 13, 2007, 07:42:26 AM Some major injuries for the playoffs, unfortunately. not exactly sure what you are talking about here. Only major injury involves the Spurs (who did have no post season plans anyway after trading away half their team including PG wiz Uner), and there only Stocker is down now (Fleisher was out before already) On the contrary, I have hardly seen a league starting the playoffs with basically every contending team at full strength before. It's quite amazing ... :hail: Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: HawksGM on March 13, 2007, 09:11:03 AM yep, I got denied again, but this group of guys is good, so no break up. I will have enough cap room to sign some FA's and without a 1st round pick, I will have to be smart about the way I use my money. A winning season and not making it says something about how competitive the GM's in this league are. It happened in both the west and the east.

I hope you beat him ;) I hope i can pull this 1 out. It is a tough match up. We split the season series so theres no guarantees. But GO BULLS Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: SpursGM-old on March 13, 2007, 09:57:08 AM Lost another big man...so now I am missing 2 of 3 players in my PF/C rotation. 3rd year in a row that I make the playoffs only to lose a starter or two in the final sim/first round. Bright side...my pick falls to 14/15.
Who do we send DCs to....Derek or Hawks? Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on March 13, 2007, 10:02:29 AM And there it is. Only one top 10 pick for a Shotgun. I'd do that trade over and over again.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 13, 2007, 10:10:08 AM two top 10 picks in fact, since it's #5 (Kings) and #10 (Bucks)
both will be miles better than Chambers. Plus #18 (tied) and #21 (tied), which should provide solid projects in the Chambers class. Great deal, Ivan :bods: and I will state that over and over again too ... Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: PacersGM on March 13, 2007, 10:13:58 AM And there it is. Only one top 10 pick for a Shotgun. I'd do that trade over and over again. :lmao: first it is 2 top 10 picks since bucks are at 10. And second where do you rate tommy in this years draft? He had to be the clear number 1 pick to justify such a trade :( If you really think he is top 3 even at his position you are insane. at the SF/PF position where you played him there are at least 5 guys with similar or better ratings in this years draft. And the best part you are always missing is that with your own pick you could have always got a player better than tommy but with the rest you could have made trades or simply improve your overall depth. instead you keep insisting that 1 player who will never be an option for your team is worth 2 lotto and 2 solid first and a pot lotto pick next year. :lol2: Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on March 13, 2007, 10:15:18 AM two top 10 picks in fact, since it's #5 (Kings) and #10 (Bucks) both will be miles better than Chambers. Plus #18 (tied) and #21 (tied), which should provide solid projects in the Chambers class. As i said, you have no idea how good these players are going to be. We've all seen what happened to Dr J (no less). Quote Great deal, Ivan :bods: and I will state that over and over again too ... You're such a flip floper it's unbelivable. Now you're all smart. Before the trade those picks "sucked, my rebuidling plan was terrible, i won't get anyone good with those picks" etc etc. But now, that was a terrible trade. Make up your mind. Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: PacersGM on March 13, 2007, 10:17:05 AM Quote Great deal, Ivan :bods: and I will state that over and over again too ... You're such a flip floper it's unbelivable. Make up your mind. no one will ever tell you that your own pick isnĀ“t worth anything. your pick was worth 2 number 1 and maybe this year you luck out again..... ups you traded it already ... to bad... :D Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 13, 2007, 10:21:27 AM mind made up:
horrible trade I give you the benefit of the doubt that you couldn't foresee that Chambers would suck so badly. But no way is a rookie with decent ratings worth 4 picks, that one was pretty clear from the start. See, that's exactly your "fictional problem". As much as you can't accept a sim league needs fictionaly guys (or starts in the year 1975 to even have a chance of running past 20 years), you can't accept that converted REAL guys share only some basic attributes with their real-life counterparts, not necessarily production (and I won't even talk about the influence of TCs, who are just a FICTIONAL part of the gameplay. It's getting old ... Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: CelticsGM on March 13, 2007, 10:22:29 AM oops, let me correct myself.
... not worth FIVE picks ... nearly forgot you gave your lottery pick next season as well ... Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on March 13, 2007, 10:41:09 AM Tied for 2nd in the lottery chances, now hoping i win the coin flip for the extra ball.
This could be a quick rebuilding process though. 2 lotto picks and another one that is T18th. It's a good draft, I expect to find 2 starters and one key backup. I count 13 guys I would start right now as they are. And another half dozen or so that could make an impact. With about 16-18 in cap space, Max and Zollner and the 3(4) picks signed, we could be back in the playoffs as early as next season. Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: BlazersGM on March 13, 2007, 10:54:40 AM uffff, just as i tought, my main worry was ridicolous west and a chance to drop out of POs with a bad sim, but we--ve survived. Funny tough, after 1st 2 sims we were #1, then holding #2 for 9 sims and then almost dropped out of POs in last sim. Now comes the Suns, the worst possible opponent we could get in rd1.

I could have posted this exact thing myself and everything you said would apply. Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: MavsGM on March 13, 2007, 01:20:03 PM Nice sim to finish of the season. Never thought we would win 52 games after our early struggles and another #1 seed in the west. Oh yet another midwest division title banner.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: WizardsGM on March 13, 2007, 01:24:50 PM Those 2 losses to the Mavs in the final sim cost me the playoffs, we played great against everyone else :?

Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: SpursGM-old on March 13, 2007, 01:54:20 PM And if that 1 extra spot turns into 13 extra spots? That's what the Mavs would hope for.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: MavsGM on March 13, 2007, 02:13:34 PM pft. that 1 extra spot in the draft means that much? :x There's a three way tie for the 13th pick. You had to rub it in didn't you... Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on March 13, 2007, 03:34:45 PM I think I had a season or 2 of 62+ wins back in the Yao-Peja-Baron era.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: MavsGM on March 13, 2007, 03:39:05 PM I think my team hit the 60 mark last season when we won 22 games in a row.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on March 13, 2007, 03:40:50 PM I think i missed the playoffs again.
Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: NetsGM on March 13, 2007, 07:31:34 PM Very happy to have a nice 7-2 sim to end off the year. Not the stiffest of competition, and a home-dominated schedule helped - but I was trying out a SF at SG for the first time (I think anyway) in his young career. I was concerned that my teams scoring would really tail off with Cho in the other conference, but
Brooks seemed to handle himself well - scoring at a nice clip, decent percentages and rarely being a negative at the position. That will help in the playoffs. And well, it's the first time I get to match up with Tom in the playoffs - so I look forward to that. No offence, but I'm much more confident and happy going at the C's than I was last year having to face the Magic in the first round. Haven't checked out the matchup closely - but with even records, and splitting our season series 2-2 with every game won on home court, I'd have to say at first blush that it will be close at least with the C's maybe winning in 7 :lol2: A few other things: I have never had a 60 win season. I muck around with things too much, though one day perhaps..... And Boo to the Grizz....I wish I woulda sold high when your pick looked like something special. At least Barton got what he deserved with the 1st team nomination... should have been MVP though! Check the league leaders, he's all over the place!!! ~RocketsGM Title: Re: Sim 12 Up Post by: NetsGM on March 14, 2007, 05:24:17 PM He might have been the best player in the league. There are just too many teams better for him to win MVP.
