Horrendous......3-7 in our last 10 and the Suns went on a 9-1 spurt jumping everyone. Spurs are 2 games ahead of me and we both have 7 games left. I think I am going to give Fuqua his first start of the season and try something different. I hope it doesnt lose his 6th man eligibility.

By the way, Pavel Podkolzine blocked 12 shots against Yao....Wow!

guess the PO race in the west is pretty much decided, in the east the bulls and nets should overtake my team and i will battle it out against hawks. maybe 41 wins can be enough this year???

Funny there are people who value individual awards over team success. Man, I couldn't care less about a POTG, POTW or even an AllTeam selection, the PLAYOFFS are all that counts and the title in the end.
(and the worst is promoting a guy with a triple double ... in a 35pt loss !!!)

the Celtics did look pretty fine this sim.

We went 5-2 with HUGE road wins over the Magic, Heat and Timberwolves, and a 49pt trashing of the Blazers. Held onto the #5 seed for now, but the Bulls and Nets are still wthin striking distance (I don't count the Pacers, with the rest of their schedule they can be lucky staying in).

Sensational:
Old man Dirk Nowitzki was NOT dealt at the deadline and responded with his finest sim this season. Leading the Celtics with 16ppg on 45% shooting and always good for a three, spreading the offense. In combination with Orlando W, who had 10ppg on nearly 50% himself, they held opposing SFs to 12ppg on 37% shooting. Guess I finally found my rotation there.

Johnny Tyler. The superlatives don't end. Not so much on the offense, where 15ppg and 4apg (I guess he's the best passing big men in the league) are his usual standard, but on defense. 16rpg, 3bpg and while his opponents only were Al Rouseau, Frank Weatherspoon, Sammy Dalembert, Phil Unseld, Jose Siegel, Robert Swift and Phil Rubini, holding them to 3.6ppg on 27% shooting is quite impressive.

Darius Perry. 14ppg, 5rpg, 9apg, 1.6apg, and 5.5 steals  per contest, shooting 47% / 54% / 93%. Wow, probably my MVP this season.


Seems like the fine tuning finally produced some results.

And just as i said, at then end, i gave only 1 good pick for Tommy.

Suns and Celtics are in the playoffs, Bucks probably won't even be a top 10, and Kings are at #5. I like it. 8)

Well, that wasn't a pretty sim at all. 2-4 and hanging on to 8th by the skin of my teeth. Over all I liked the looks of Brooks and Gminski, and Al Woods looked OK - but I don't know if I have the right settings for this group of players. Gotta try to hang on.

I have a fellin Larry Bird is going to be a King next year.

this is a lower action league and actually I like it that way myself currently. People here are active enough to keep it running, most DCs are posted, so nothing wrong with that.

2-3 sim...lost a little more ground than I wnated falling to the 8th seed.  Still played a couple people more minutes than usual to judge thier future with the team.  Also played the sim without my starting center or point guard.

Nuggets...

Difference is in who we play for the final 7 games.  I have only 1 game against an above .500 team (Nets) and the rest against lottery teams.  On the other hand the WORSE teams you play are the Celtics & Blazers.

Thanks for dashing my hopes of my first playoff appearance in SSBA. I guess I will hang my hat on my 3 RBSL Championship, 1 Finals loss and 5 League MVPs in 7 seasons over there  :tup:

how can you be happy by giving up a high lotto pick and a current number 9 plus 2 in the top 20 for a guy who is producing nothing...

as i remember you told everyone your team won´t be lotto in the weak west after the shotgun trade and your pick next year might be lotto again since FA is just really bad this year and you have no pick this year to improve.

Because if he was right about all of that, then there wouldnt be anyone to make fun of all the time around here.

How can you be sure will any of these players produce anything in the near future? And obviously, i didn't expect Chambers to be a stud right in his rookie year. That was a trade for the future and i belive he's going to be a great player.


I have to admit, with all these fictional crap the league is filled, i have no idea what team is good and what team is bad anymore. It's like i'm playing a hockey sim league. I'm familiar with like 7 players in the entire league.


That was a phenomenal move by a phenomenal GM. It will take some time for usual GM's to fully grasp the vision and fruits of this trade. 8)

Oh yeah, you look at the ratings.  That's how you figure out what teams are good and what teams are bad.

By the way, I just noticed that my 6 remaining games are all at home...so there is still hope to make the playoffs.

I have 4 of 7 games at home, but as Spurs said I play some pretty difficult opponents compared to his schedule. My rebuilding efforts have failed as I expected to at least make the post season by this year.

My one sided trades/circus is the only thing that keeps this league alive. All of you are just too calculated and playing it safe.

I have made my fair share of bone-head trades (Dirk comes to mind first and foremost), but can you imagine your team with five lottery additions this year to Magic and Isaiah?

Celtics are in the playoffs, so are the Suns and Bucks is not even a top 10. The only lotto pick is Kings one curentlly at #5!

no, i watched Tommy's play for nearly a full season, that speaks for itself. It's really enough evidence.

honestly, you traded these picks (as of now):
#5, #9, #18, #20 pick.
10ppg, 7rpg on 40% shooting and weak defense as full-time PF starter (part-time offensive option). These are numbers i'd be disappointed if I get them from a #20 pick.


and i don't even talk about the lotto pick next season you gave away in the deal too ...
(but of course, THIS will be the reference you'll reply to, as the stuff above hardly can be argued)
