It's a tough one this year. The Championship team, the Heat, deserve consideration, but don't get my vote, because he started with Shaq. The Sonics were the surprise team of the year, but also don't get my vote, because they traded away all their Finals' team, when the finals were still going on. I'm gonna vote Hornets. The point is, I started with a bunch of good players, kept my financial flexibility, gained a ton of future picks, and made the finals.
Other than that, I vote for Golden State. He did a ton to improve his club. And I know you think that was a bad trade, but I've used it well. I turned Hoffa and Bosh into Mihm and the 5th pick. You're probably right, but the main reason for the trade was to get Finley for Jalen Rose. And Mihm and the 5th doesnt happen without the other trade. My first trade was trading Pietrus for Collison... Collison has been great off the bench for me. I do not know how many teams have a B+ inside scoring coming off their bench... I ended up trading Troy Murphy for Vlad Radman and a 1st round pick, and Vlad was the reason the Warriors were able to win against the Timberwolves. He played Garnett very, very well... and that trade enabled... The trade that keeps my team in the playoffs for the next 5 years... 2 non-- lottery draft picks and salary cap relief for Brent Barry and Ben Wallace. Not a whole lot of trades, and my best scorer scored only 18 ppg... But the Warriors go 9 men deep, and each position has a good mix of offense and defense... |
