Title: Difference maker Awards Post by: Str8westcoasta on March 02, 2007, 08:55:51 AM We all know who the stars are... We know who will be in the running for MVP award...
... what I want to know is who has made that vital contribution that has given your team that extra lil bite! Not necessarily SMOY, he may be a starter, may be a rookie with energy, Or a veteran who has stabilized your roster. For example… Dwayne Wade and Barton O’Connell are cleary the impact players and indeed stars of my Rockets team, AK47 is the defensive stopper, but Terrance Przybilla has really stepped up when needed. Both off the bench and, even more so, in a starting role he is earning every cent of his salary. Ivan strong would be another one I would consider with his solid shooting and consistent rebounding… What about your team…? And guys let’s discuss eachothers teams and players, as opposed to simply ranting about ourselves. (He says after his own mini essay! :) ) ~RocketsGM Title: Re: Difference maker Awards Post by: WizardsGM on March 03, 2007, 10:33:30 AM My team went on losing streaks both times Donta Smith was injured. Didnt figure him for an impact player, but he definitely leaves a hole at SG.

Didnt figure him for an impact player, but he definitely leaves a hole at SG. I had Donta in his first two seasons. He was always capable of just going off on one and dropping 30 on someone, or having a quiet 6 point game. He used to be really inconsistent but seems to be more solid now. Personally, I'm a big fan of SG/SF's who can score inside. I'd rather have a good inside scorer at the position than a good outside one. Only problem is, for some reason they generally don't play good defense! Whats that about...?! I think its because they prefer to play inside, therefore arent out guarding the perimiter the way they should |
