I want to get the draft out before I sim much more.

I'll finish the draft tonight, and get sim 8 up tonight as well.  calendar's been updated.

Are we using the guys in the draft preview? They already contain retro players like Kenneth Billups and Christian Lister.  :bods:

hey guys,
good news:
I got the draft preview finished.  I absolutely did not want to run another sim before that was finished.
bad news:
I wasn't able to do the sim before I left for work this morning.

I'm going to do sim 8 thursday night (tonight), sim 9 saturday night, then sim 10 the scheduled monday night.

Good news is that Okafor is back, the bad news our team sucks.  Jeremy Palacio will be out 14 days, need to have everyone healthy for the stretch run.

I had a great sim beating so good teams and am now back at .500. I imagine i'll eventually slip into the 7th spot.

i canĀ“t believe it.. i am back in the POs ...  :bounce:

had a 6-3 sim and still have more homegames left than any team ahead of me. 8)

peters and boykins finally are clicking together

peters this sim with
27/9/4
32/5/5
29/5/5
24/7/2
25/6/7
27/6/1
24/4/2 with 4 steals and holding gatling to 13pts
27/7/3

that means he scored more than his season avg. of 20pts 8 times out of possible 9.

boykins
28/7
27/6
21/7
22/9

i had wins over wolves, sonics  and nets

Went 2-5 but I let the young guys run.  And I probably will another sim to evaluate their future contributions.  Besides with my own pick this year a small drop in the standings isn't too bad.   :)

This team is still a solid playoff team and will perform better when my vets average more than 20 minutes a game.  Besides I am only 1 loss behind the #3 seed in the west.  And in some respects the #7 seed may be better than seeds 3-6.

4-6 and I seem to have somehow moved up the EC rankings

I'm kinda hoping that this season is some kind of strange calibration year for my rather young team....cuz this inconsistency is killing me.

the rollercoaster season continues.

5-3 sim puts me into 6th place in the East, with the #4 seed still in striking distance. Like the #9 seed, by the way.
Two more tight losses to Wiz and Hawks, but also some more tight wins against Heat, Bulls and Nets, all teams contending for the lower playoff spots.

The biggest problem we have is shooting. .436, among worst 5 teams, wont win you many games, and if this wasn't a great rebounding and above average defensive team we'd be in serious trouble already.

TYLER was great again with 21/14/4 and 3 blocks, on 45% shooting, finally getting some recognition from the league with a POTW award, his first ever.

STRAIT also didn't disappoint with 18/7 on 43%, more important doing it on defense holding opponents to 9/7 on 35%.
and PERRY likes being option, 17/4/8 and 4+ steals, only 2.5to while shooting nearly 50% from 2 and 3, his defense is there as well.

so much for the good.

IBA got a rare start at SG and while he did  nothing offensively (8ppg on 32%) he at least played D (opp 12/5 on 42%)
The biggest disappointment clearly was TSAKA starting at PF. Giving up 18/9 on 53% is not what i got you for, especially when you only have to play on one end. ROBEY was pushing hard for more time at PF, nearly matching Tsaka's numbers in half of the time, and shooting 52%.

So where do we go from here? Honestly I don't have an idea.

Maybe Dirk will see some more PT as he's probably still my best outside shooter (URGH !)
Maybe Orlando will see some starting assignement
Maybe Childress will move back into the starting lineup
Maybe Robey will try to get us better defense at PF
Maybe Sampson will prove his old bones still have some value.

Maybe, maybe, maybe.

So little time leftin the season, and so many options. Man, i really love this game ...

Staying stable with a 5-3 sim - the inside scoring focus appears to be much better suited for my team; Ramsey isnt getting any points out of it but the team is better.

Fuqua should definitely win 6th man, he has been a beast all season.

Hopefully we continue the solid play en route to my first SSBA playoff appearance (currently sitting at 30-23, 7th in the West).

I'm in the thick of the playoff hunt.  This team has been playing around .500 ball all year.  Lost 2 must win games this sim against the Knicks and the Hornets (I still can't beat them).  Right now I'm happy with how the Hawks are playing, need to have a few more winning sims and we will have our first playoff appearance since the new SSBA, yikes!
