butler is a nice pg, kent an undersized PF who won´t see much playing time and the rest is just garbage. can someone tell me why melo was traded for that package???  :?

my first thought was "wow, two young ones like Butler and Kent for an overpriced washed-up veteran who doesn't play a lick of defense like Melo".

The Bucks do not even have their own 1rst rounder this year which will now be even higher. I definitally think the Bucks could have gotten better value than this and it puts the Magic over the top, and I have their first rounder this year  :x

Well, for those who are somewhat curious about my decision:

SF was my deepest spot, given Kundla and Richardson as well.  Carmelo's contract runs longer, and I was actually going to spend money turning his contract into an expiring before the Magic's inquiry. 

I badly needed a competent big man besides Mehta.  Kent's cheap and matches the description, plus he's young.

Butler will be an improvement at PG over my constant string of MLE signings. 

And it helps my cap situation. 

Now how am I supposed to win my second championship...

Often in FBB, the best team not always win the championship.

Melo washed up?  Then 2/3 of your team are made up of people that are washed up.  Doesn't play a lick of D?  1.7 steals per game with B+ rating on defense=doesn't play a lick of D, then all players on your team except Parry and Tyler doesn't play a lick of D. 

ok, thanks for pointing that out. 1.7 steals with B+ means most of that rating comes courtesy of takeaways and his man-to-man defense is probably in the C+ range.

At least that explains WHY he's so bad there ...

and take, for example, Keogan. Every now and then an opponent shoots like 6-21 against him. But still, nobody in this league would use the words "Vince K." and "good defense" in the same sentence.

More likely, these opponents are so exhausted chasing VK around 5 screens each possession, they lack stamina for the other end of the court ...

for some reason, acquiring Melo has improved my D one way or the other. IT makes me move Profit to play some SG, his natural position. And improves my team's rebounding. He steals better than Butler too.
