Title: Sim 3 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 08, 2007, 08:25:33 AM Bods will complete the sim tonight, sim 4 should run as planned tomorrow, then we'll have a 1 week break (unless the majority of owners shout for a stand-in simmer ... *lol*)

Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: NetsGM on February 08, 2007, 11:32:45 AM I won't be able to get to sim 4 friday, as I'll have too much packing to do. So tonight will be sim 3, then a vacation.
Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on February 08, 2007, 12:30:55 PM Bods your thoughts on having Tom fill in?
Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: CelticsGM on February 08, 2007, 02:46:48 PM He doesn't even bother to comment, let alone give it a thought.
Democracy is simply ignored here. Guess we need to think about going on strike, pals ... Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: SpursGM-old on February 08, 2007, 03:45:09 PM It doesn't have to be a democracy. It is his league, his server and his time. He has ran this league with very little down time for over 2 years. And now he asks to take some time off.
For those calling for more.... :moon: Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: RaptorsGM on February 08, 2007, 04:13:08 PM No one is calling for more...I doubt it makes much of a difference to Bods, he doesn't even run a team or anything...really, what does he have to miss if Tom stands in for a week?
Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: GrizzliesGM on February 08, 2007, 04:16:12 PM Where the heck do you think we are, the U.S.A.? :lmao:

Yes, you are asking for more. You are asking the commissioner to give up control for the week that he is on vacation. It is not just running the sims but approving trades and making sure the league operates under the rules that he established. In essence you are "demanding" that the commissioner appoint a deputy. And then crying when he doesn't do what you want him to do. Re-read this thread and then come back saying that no one is asking for more. Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: KingsGM-old on February 08, 2007, 05:29:56 PM I belive i'm the right person to take over a league for a week or two.
Title: Re: Sim 3 delayed Post by: CelticsGM on February 08, 2007, 06:02:36 PM you're not even the right person to take over responsibility for YOURSELF for a DAY or two

No one is crying. Maybe you posted this in the wrong thread, or the wrong league? I'll think about letting celtics sim, but I'm not sure yet. I'll announce tomorrow. Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: GrizzliesGM on February 08, 2007, 11:23:16 PM I just went 7-1 this sim with the lineup reccomended by the computer. This goes to show that I would be the worst coach ever (though a great GM)!
Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: HornetsGM on February 08, 2007, 11:27:35 PM what is the least amount of wins in SSBA history?
Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: MavsGM on February 09, 2007, 12:09:05 AM Not a good sim, our defense was horrible this sim.
Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: PacersGM on February 09, 2007, 01:45:11 AM what is the least amount of wins in SSBA history? i really hate to see such post :D. Ivan wasn´t allowed to aim for the worst record :screwy: and now this year looks like a fight for getting worst record :lol2:. Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: PacersGM on February 09, 2007, 01:49:00 AM had a decent not great sim going 3-4 with a pretty tough schedule but beat the not so mighty celtics by holding their star players around 30% shooting :lmao:
had also wins over bulls and wizard both likely PO teams this year. And don´t forget to count the current picks the kings spend for Chambers. 4 current top 10 picks  Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on February 09, 2007, 01:57:31 AM Not a bad sim for the Raps as Max finally hit his stride.
On a better note currently have picks 4, 9 and 23. Assuming I was to win every coin flip, but that hardly matters at this stage. Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: MagicGM on February 09, 2007, 04:55:12 AM Al Roseau with his 1st ever triple double. and the team's 1st triple double... in 239824098024 seasons. 11, 12 and 10 blocks.
Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: CavsGM on February 09, 2007, 07:07:01 AM The team has officially found their rhythm, winning 14 of the last 15. The only loss during that span was at the hands of the Magic, a very tough opponent. My big men were torn apart by Howard, who had a huge(average) game, and Rouseau with his triple double. Just by looking at that, our 1 point win against them, and the standings, you know it's going to be a rivalry throughout the season and into the playoffs.
Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: Str8westcoasta on February 09, 2007, 07:09:15 AM Man, Im either killing or getting killed.
Seriously, the Rockets might light you up for 130 points or they may miss 80% of their shots and hit 60! Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 09, 2007, 07:42:44 AM what is the least amount of wins in SSBA history? 9 wins. Knicks in 2014. I don't think you stand a serious chance grabbing the record from them. FBB is much too unpredictable. :-) Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: WizardsGM on February 09, 2007, 07:49:56 AM A very nice 6-2 sim, both losses coming to the Suns who really play good defence against me.
vs Clips Buck Williams almost had a triple double: 17reb, 10ast, only 8pts. Also had 2stl and 3blk Overall Buck struggled scoring, dropping his avg to 17.9 The bad news is Donta Smith is out 21 days with a broken jaw. By the way, who would have thought in the weak West a 14-9 record would be 4th in the division and 7th in the conference?? Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: KingsGM-old on February 09, 2007, 08:11:43 AM This is trully fucked up. We can't defend shit.
And speaking of picks, this is the last time i'm listening to anyone else but mysefl. I just knew it, knew it these teams will suck this year when i traded for that picks. But after hearing all the stories from another GM's about Celtics being a good team, Bucks playoff contenders and all that crap i started to doubt my analisis. Fuck it. Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 09, 2007, 08:15:01 AM Headlines: Celtics avoid worst ever
(hey, at least, unlike the REAL ones ...) "With a commanding 94-90 home win over the former SSBA champions HORNETS the Boston CELTICS avoided the worst ever losing streak in franchise history. Still, the 10 consecutive losses - 6 to end sim 2 and 4 more to start sim 3, albeit against some powerhouses like Cavs & Magic - tie the franchise record from the 2007 season, where Boston went on to win a mere 19 games all season." Thanks to some weak opponents I managed to finish the sim at a 3-5 record. Amazing stats from the last 2 sims: In 5 wins - Celtics scored 119ppg on 51% shooting - Celtics held opponents to 97ppg on 44% shooting In 11 losses - Celtics scored 87ppg on 38% shooting - Celtics held opponents to 100ppg on 47% shooting - Celtics shot below 38% in EIGHT of 11 games that's a difference of -22ppg on offense, with defense just a little worse !!! Unbelievable how this team stinks offensively ... :bods: Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: HeatGM on February 09, 2007, 09:50:40 AM a nice 4-2 sim... ladon augmon went down.....thus defense was weak... really nice naming shultz as player of the week 5 :D im just so impressed about shultz.... a complete player :D
Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: SpursGM-old on February 09, 2007, 10:42:12 AM 4-3 sim but haven't had time to analyze.
But I agree with the Nuggets...I have a .667 winning percentage and wouldn't even have homecourt if the playoffs started today. The Grizzlies are a 1/2 game away from having the entire midwest division in the playoffs. And the east would have a below .500 team make it. Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: HornetsGM on February 09, 2007, 11:57:59 AM what is the least amount of wins in SSBA history? 9 wins. Knicks in 2014. Ivan wasn´t allowed to aim for the worst record :screwy: and now this year looks like a fight for getting worst record :lol2:. Well I'm playing what I think is my best lineup. I don't know what Ivan was doing, but there's nothing in the rules that state you can't trade your best players for picks and cash. I might have missed some discussion about this at some point. If Bods says there's a problem with the way I'm running things I'll do my best to remedy the situation. Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: GoldenStateGM on February 09, 2007, 01:13:14 PM I cannot believe my team is playig so well, currently at 12-11.
I expected this team to get killed, and in the preseason they did. Most unexpected player, Dennis Mangrum. What is really nice, though, is that my two young swingmen are player very well. Michael O'Neil and Don Collins look like fixtures at the swing spots for a long time. Looks liek Luol Deng is not a bad PF either, which I find pretty suprising... Title: Re: Sim 3 Up Post by: NetsGM on February 09, 2007, 05:13:28 PM 4-3 sim but haven't had time to analyze. Can't say I'm too fussy on the Grizz being back in the playoff hunt....but it is nice to see the West picking it up abit. But I agree with the Nuggets...I have a .667 winning percentage and wouldn't even have homecourt if the playoffs started today. The Grizzlies are a 1/2 game away from having the entire midwest division in the playoffs. And the east would have a below .500 team make it. Nets had probably their worst sim since the beginning of last season at 1-4. Have to find the right mix of playing time for my bigs - Munson has come in and played really well, but it seems to have thrown off the nice balance I had last year. |
