Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: HeatGM on February 04, 2007, 02:00:13 AM wat the hell? dwight howard.....42.6ppg...that is insane :lol2: if only orlando has a better supporting players.... :D
i doubt shultz would be choking in the playoffs...he's a born scorer :D very nice shultz.... suprise at lakers having a great start... :D congratz to the new gm...nice job...with very nice first rounder picks too :D Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: PacersGM on February 04, 2007, 02:31:34 AM bods please can you check my DC?
i had cronin as my 3rd C still he played 30+ against Celtics not that i really complain since he played really well. And dickau wasn´t even on my DC still he played more than my 3rd wing??? please can you send me my settings as well. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: PacersGM on February 04, 2007, 02:40:01 AM look at isiah
never thought there would be a Pg like mercer again. But isiah even with A handles is even better in creating TOs :lmao: Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: MagicGM on February 04, 2007, 03:25:46 AM quite surprised with my sim. expected more out of my boys. need really scorers now.
really glad to see my boy abrogast striving in the raptors system. I had high expectations for him but wasn't meant to be.. :( Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: SixersGM on February 04, 2007, 03:29:34 AM John Tyler..
17ppg 15rpg 3bpg. :D Just happy to see that Purvis Short and Mark Aguirre are becoming pretty good scorers. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 04, 2007, 05:57:39 AM bods please can you check my DC? i had cronin as my 3rd C still he played 30+ against Celtics not that i really complain since he played really well. Shane was in foul trouble against Tyler from the first minute apparently, 4 fouls in only 14 minutes. And with Priddy needed to help Boykins to contain Strait (which failed as well) the rook came to the rescue. nice discovery actually, guess he'll be shopped for Yao soon ... :lmao: Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: SonicsGM on February 04, 2007, 06:07:58 AM Tried a slow offense, and it did two things:
1. Upped Nick English's assists by a ton 2. Slowed Yao and the gang to an unbelievably low offense. I need to increase this offense, so Hyatt will start in Sim 2, bringing Peck (who is probably better coming off the bench anyways) in reserve. Not the best sim, but I think it answered questions for me. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on February 04, 2007, 06:31:01 AM really weird sim1

It's a young team and majority of games were against top teams. I think this is going to be fine season.
Magic bounced back from terrible preseason, 22ppg, 7rpg, 4as, 1.5spg, 47% from the floor. Isiah is a monster. Sure, his to's a high, but as a rookie, first option and on faster pace, it's not a suprise. 23ppg, 4.5rpg, 8.5apg are a monstrous stats for a rookie, this guy could already be a top 10 or 15 players in the league. Tom Chambers missed half of the sim and played in only 4 games, but did well in games he played; 18pts, 8rebs vs the Blazers 12pts, 7rebs, 3blocks vs the Nets 17pts, 10rebs vs the Grizzlies Overall, i'm satisfied with a progress. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on February 04, 2007, 09:37:38 AM The curse continued ! Always when i have a great pre-season sim i start season poorly.
3-4 Magic again played poorly vs Phelps LOL. Everyone except Boozer had a miserable FG % this sim, its something we need to work on, also on tactics as players are still getting used to our new PG after playing 10 years with Telf. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: NetsGM on February 04, 2007, 09:38:31 AM Pacers DC:
C: Wedge, Boykins, Cronin PF: Boykins, Priddy, Cronin SF: Peters, Knight, Adbul-Wahad SG: Marion, Harris, Adbul-Wahad PG: Provost, Elliot, Elliot PM me these requests rather than typing them in the thread. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: BlazersGM on February 04, 2007, 09:39:25 AM 18pts, 8rebs vs the Blazers WOW, on 6-16 in 37pts loss. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: WizardsGM on February 04, 2007, 10:51:44 AM Definitely pleased with my 5-2 start. The guys are finally scoring averaging 102 per game and playing defence (97 against) at the same time.
Buck Williams is a monster: 19.1ppg/13.6reb on 50.5% shooting Fuqua is a great 6th man: 11.4ppg/11.0reb/2.0ast in 28.7min Gminski wasnt too spectacular on the boards but was decent at 14.7/7.1 but the key was he played defence with 2 blocks per game Ransey also averaged a double double with 17.4ppg/11.0ast and raked in 4.6 rebounds - his 4.1to are a worry Donta averaged 17.9ppg on 55.3% from the field - great for a SG And Michael Brooks was solid on the boards averaging 8 reb at SF Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: RaptorsGM on February 04, 2007, 11:04:47 AM Really weird to look at the bottom of the Conference standings and see myself and the Hornets.
Arbogast continues to play exceptionally well while Max really really struggles with the sub-par quality of his teammates. Overall it ain't gonna be a pretty season. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 04, 2007, 11:26:31 AM well, 3-2 start to the season. Not great but also not bad.
With Childress getting just 15ppg on 37% and fellow starter Iba scoring 7ppg on 24% (that with offense being his ONLY "strength") I can't expect any more. In fact, without a (huge) 1pt win at Chicago and a 2pt win over the lowly Pacers it could have been much worse. My frontcourt was nothing short of spectacular. Not so much Tyler, tho 18ppg, 15rpg and 3.5bpg aren't shabby, but Strait finally did provide what i'm waiting for 3 seasons now. 20.5/12.5/1.5 and great defense against studs like Amare and Boykins. Rookie Orlando did well too, 10ppg on 51% are a cry for more PT. overall, a decent start into the season ... 8) Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: JazzGM-old on February 04, 2007, 12:14:27 PM 5-3 isn't bad, I lost to the Nuggets twice, I just don't have an answer right now for Ransey. Dial is a defensive powerhouse out of the gates with 2.8 steals and 4.4 bpg. I started off the season breaking my team record of steals in a single game with 26.
Theus is scoring 18 a game and shooting above 50% from the field and 3. Toney is playing extremely well and throwing in 2.3 spg. After some roster tweaks, watch out for the Jazz. Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 04, 2007, 12:29:14 PM some observations:
The dominant Cavs lost a home game to start the season, surprise, surprise. And later they allowed the Sixers their only win so far, in Cleveland as well. Even more suprising, after THAT dominance in preseason ... Look at KG in his first game at age 40: a 31/20 effort against the Spurs AlJeff in a convincing win. Look at former mega-star Garrett Pettit in his first game this season. 17/5 and 5 TO against O'neil in a convincing home loss. Is that the end of the guy who was the dominating player in SSBA for a long time? And just like that he holds Keogan to 10/0/4 on 2-10 shooting while scoring 26 himself on 13 shots. Nice recovery ... Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: MavsGM on February 04, 2007, 08:06:51 PM Lost two games to start off the season and then won four straight. Not really happy with my bench since they didn't produce anything. Okafor 15/18  and Bailey 22/14 off to a flying start.
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: NetsGM on February 04, 2007, 08:20:19 PM 5-3 start, with two losses on the road by a combined 4 points, so its not all that disappointing. Got COMPLETELY shut down by the Bulls (shot 29.3%). Overall, something wasn't clicking though, as some players *really* struggled during some of the games. Some tweaking will need to be done to straighten out some of the blips.
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: ClippersGM-old on February 05, 2007, 06:47:48 AM Not so nice... :) Seems like it will be another long season.
Though I am pleased with the play of a couple players like Tripucka, Mahorne, Sura Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: HawksGM on February 05, 2007, 09:06:48 AM 2-3 isn't so bad. I only have two players in double figures scoring, I would like to see Nolan Friedman or Shabinger step up into the 3rd scorers role. For now I will take this start, a few off-season changes are what I blame for the sub .500 start. I think this is an around .500 team and I plan on being a low seed and getting into the playoffs for the first time.
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: LakersGM-old3 on February 05, 2007, 09:27:01 AM It is far to early to judge my team now. I am happy with my 5-1 start but 6-0 would have been better. Every player played exactly how I wanted them to. Zack Profit was out for 2 3/4 games. In that span we had our only loss to the Timberwolves whom are among the elite in the West this season. I think Profit might have made a big change in the game but we will take it and move on. The Phil Ford/Vito Ramsey combo is working well for me. I just do not like the idea of have 16 million playing 12 minutes/game. I do not expect this record to hold up. My offense is spectacular and my defense can be improved upon. Showtime is back for sim 1 anyway!!
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: SpursGM-old on February 05, 2007, 11:24:45 AM 7-1 and atop the west. Looks impressive until you see that I only played 2 teams with winning records and I split those games. So basically I beat up on the teams that a top team should beat up. Next sim will give a better reading on where this team stands.
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: HornetsGM on February 05, 2007, 02:49:22 PM brutal
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: CelticsGM on February 05, 2007, 04:17:02 PM brutal 0-7 in sim 1 and now 0-3 vs. Heat. not the best weekend in your GM life ... ;-) Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: HornetsGM on February 05, 2007, 04:20:14 PM for real. At least I expected to be terrible in SSBA. :(
Title: Re: Sim 1 Up Post by: BucksGM on February 05, 2007, 06:21:08 PM Melo out for 40 days. That's a big ouch.
Arenas and Kundla are capable at that spot though, so we'll see how well the fort is held. |
