Oh crap. Of all the people Odom had to sign first.

Huge money for Swift. Was really hoping for him but Spurs really offered tons of money.

Good thing is Kirilenko and Biedrins are still outhere.

The Suns went over the hard cap with the FA signings (gotta be careful when offering "max").

The Magic are about 400k from the hard cap.  Spurs about 1.5 million, and Mavs about 2.5 million.  Bucks aren't far behind at 3.3 million away.

For some reason, "it" won't let me submit an offer to Michael O'Neil. Anyone else having this problem?

I was having that problem this morning but didn't have time to send a message to Derek before the sim.  So I offered my MLE to others.

Glad to have Swift back...although I overpaid slightly to keep him.  And Shireman, as my MLE signing, hopefully will continue to develop. Now just need to see if there is anyone worth my LLE.

I think it had problems with ' 's  (i.e. O'Neil screwed it up).

I've escaped the slashes and it should now work.  Give it a try.

I might an addition to the FA system.

Now when you go to the main fa page ( http://forums.ssbabasketball.com/ssba_pages/freeagents.php ), there's a link to view your bid history.  This will show all bids, for all players, including cancelled bids, when they were created, and when they were cancelled.  Bids will be cancelled for 3 reasons: You updated the bid, you cancelled the bid, or the player signed (It doesn't make a distinction if the player signed with you or signed elsewhere, just that the player signed).  Cancelled bids will show up with a strikethrough

I resigned Dickerson who is a productive player for a one year deal, hoping to trade him. But if I can't, its one year and he is decent.
I also resigned Ripley who, depending on how he does in TC, I will either keep/cut him.

I only have 2 more roster spots so hopefully i can use my mle and lle to get some decent players.

Pointless, the only players you would want, I wont trade. I'd rather just sign guys to 1 year deals and try again next year for someone.

Well,  glad to have Jim Finley back in the fold for three years. Will give me plenty of defensive presence and his contract expires right when I need to consider resigning my draft bonanza from last year.

Sad that Phil Unseld didn't take my offer - the only guy I put a bid in on with my leftover cap space. I offered a longer term but couldn't match dollars per year. Having a younger C would have helped balance out the overhaul I did the past year, but it's not an insurmountable problem - even though now I only have the exemptions to play with. Now most of my improvement will have to come from within. If Unseld becomes available Sixers, let me know ;)

Nice feature on the "Bid History", Derek.

Nice score for the Pistons, too.

Edit to add: Damnit, just noticed that Magic swept in and stole Mills away from me, who I hoped and planned to resign. Guess I should have made a day one offer....

Yeah, the entire world is playin handball. US has a team as well, but it's just not that popular over there.

That's a incredibly stupid statement. Handball is very popular around the world. It comes right after the big 3 (soccer, tennis and basketball). It's in the category of volleyball, water-polo (or waterball) and hockey. The competition is tremendous.

Tom is just jelous 'cause Austria has only champs in darts, soccertennis, hubba-dubba and similar sports :D

....but he is probably proud now with skiing 'cause JK took a year off so Austrian's can finally grab few wins in their national sport :D

....and all that coming from a country which had 1 ski track until recently :D

It's actually big 3 in europe, but in 4th place in the world, i've read it in a survey some time ago, i tought volley was more popular but it turned out its only 6th.

it solved it's puprpose: Ivan is explaining the world again.

and for the record: NO, i don't believe something a 80lbs overweight drunkyard can be champion in should be called a sports. Neither should shooting. That's a skill, for sure, but handcrafting is too and it's not an olympic competition.
Thats why i'm so torn on Golf. It's somewhere inbetween here ...

for the sake of Croatia - EU negotiations and Austria's possible Veto on our entrance i wont comment any further 'cause it could cost us EU (I need them for easier travel purposes only) :bods:

Those are facts. Handball is huge in Germany, Spain, Russia, Tunis, you name it.

You completely lost your mind. You ever seen Ivano Balic? The guy is a artist, he's Magic Johnson of handball. His behind the back passes, ball rotations and goals are beauty for the eye.

It's a great game. Only too rough.

Yeah i agree, god please forbid ,,,but like i've said, for travel purposes i could use a EU passport, but i really dont care, im against it, but we'll enter anyway, and with all those criminals running the country it will be the same shit, so i care even less, im going to Brasil this week probably and i really gave up hope on politics here, there and everywhere, screw EU, screw everything, its time for jungle boogie woogie now, altough my destination is probably (speaking of politics) probably the most corrupted capital of the world :D

but who cares eh ?

Croatia WC Champ for sure :)

it's getting quite boring. The whole skiing world cup is like a national austrian championship. we wouldn't mind some competition at all ... it's kind of like the early olympic dream teams in basketball. Nice to watch ... but you get used to it.
