Wolves advance to round 2, overcoming a 3-0 deficit against the Rockets.  Now I have to figure out a way to beat the Mavs...  :(

Great series Suns !! They were the only team i didnt want to play in Round1 as we struggled
a lot during regular season and i was really scared we might go out of PO's early, and i
was almost right, it was one god damn tough series.

Started with 3pts home loss followed by easy win and another in Phoenix to put things back
on track.

Game 4 was weird, lost 76-85, none of my guys scored more then 13 and Roan led Suns with 18,
 horrible offense from my starters and Suns backups.

Remaining games went to home teams.

Now comes Jazz altough i would prefer Spurs, we were 2-2 in regular season,
its gonna be another tough task.

Sounds like a frequent occurance in FBB for round 1's (overcoming a 3-0 deficit)

Started off winning 2 of the first 3 games but then Uner only played 5 minutes in game 4.  We were able to to stretch the series to 7 games but without our floor leader we just didn't have enough to overcome the Jazz.

Tough way to finish out the season....

That wasn't exactly worth waiting for  :(

The easy prediction here was that Dwight would destroy us - and he did, thoroughly at that. I matched up my best defending big against him and trapped often to try and neutralize him abit, but he just went over or through it - or both. I went with McHale as option one to try to exploit the only matchup I thought I could win to no avail. Hats off and congrats to Magic for a good series and to Dwight himself - he carried that team, and still should have earned MVP honours.

Still happy with the season for the Nets, and pleased to have made the playoffs. Three very solid contributing rooks who will only get better, two 2nd year guys in the rotation who found useful roles, and another rook whose riddle I havent quited solved yet but who has plenty of upside, along with some good contributing vets. Future looks pretty bright to me.

Wow, the 2nd round. First appearance there in a long time. Anyways, great series Bulls. It went back and forth all the way, you put up a good fight. Now let's see about the Magic. Beat them 3-1 during the season, all three wins being blowouts, two of them coming in the last sim. The one loss was also by only 3 points. But, you never know what can happen in the playoffs...

This is the first time the Sonics made the playoffs only to bow out before the finals.  The Mavs were just too good for this Sonic team.  Congrats Mavs

Well this one much more easier then we expected, i expected same tough fight we had against Suns but DC changes we've made
obviously made things very easy and well there's the experience of our players in PO's.

1st game already showed PO's are different, Rivera who owned Boozer during regular season games was lost here, Phelps remains to
be our 1st scorer with all the credit, Hoffa posted 20/17, his experience means a lot in playoffs to this team and so does Booz's
who had a 18/16 game.

Game 2 was aother easy win, Jazz had Toney going crazy but no help from others while our starting 5 all did their jobs well.

Game 3 was a crucial win by 3pts in Salt Lake City, Boozer who had awful 4 regular season games vs Jazz was a clear decider in this
series, i was really worried as i tought if he plays in same awful way he did we wouldnt stand a chance, i almost removed him as
option but he proved me wrong. Led the team with 26/17 followed close by Phelps and Hoffa.

Game 4 we lost easily, and in that game was the Booz of regular season duels.

Game 5 was a real thriller, Hoffa was blown out by Dial but Phelps,Boozer and Telf had enough concentration in last seconds to
take us to another CF.



....and well PO's are different, but i think Jazz made mistake by not starting Rivera on PF, he stopped Boozer in regular season
games, and Booz was unstoppable in this series as Rivera was benched.

And for 2nd straight time favs Mavs are out before our clash in CF finals, hopefully we can make advantage of that like last time and go
to another finals,  altough its not gonna be easy at all, Wolves have a great team and whoever beats the Mavs can beat anyone. This year we finally have backup center/PF unlike last 2 seasons, and especially last season when without Hoffa and with just 1 center we went out easily in round 1.

and we're young blood ?  :)

Bad offense or good defense on the Wolves?  98 points was the highest and 64 points was our lowest.  On the 64 points game we shot 29.1%?  Old man KG still can play at a high level at the age of 39. :hail:  Congrat Wolves on the win.

....and now only a miracle can take us to the finals, 3 regular season blow outs by Wolves and one hard 4pt win in Portland, but there we had Chandler so obviously problems were up front as Gatling was held to 38 % from field and 36 % from 3pt by Clement and Cheeks and Telf had basically same production. Wolves had much more help from bench tough but hope dies last.


Mission impossible, but let's hope.

I'm amazed. I thought we had the upper hand over the Magic, but I certainly did not expect a sweep. Game 1 was very close but the next three were much more decisive. It was a real group effort, too. That's what I love about my team. Usually, almost everyone contributes in a big way to help the team win. And if if there's a game when only one player really shines, it's a different guy every time. So we've made it to the Conference Finals for the first time ever. There's a tough challenge ahead with the Hornets, who have always given the Cavs trouble. They have, however, shown signs of weakness in these first two rounds. The Hornets won the season series 3-1, although we took the final game. It should be interesting...

thanks man.  I fully expected to lose the series, but anything can happen...  I feared your offense most, so I was shocked to see the series become a defensive battle.  I have no logical explanation for what just happened...

Now onto the Blazers who was hoping that I would advance.  Well, he got his wish, I'll try my best to make him regret that.

Short break from my vacation, and what I see makes me pretty happy:

Taking care of the Heat came expected (but still, with my history I always expect the worst), but the 2nd round matchup with the Hornets was probably even more satisfying. Taking the huge favourite who looked pretty sharp all season long (when everyone was healthy) to 7 games, winning twice on foreign territory, is something to look up to.

Too bad I gave away two games in the 4th quarter, twice losing 6pt leads in pivotal games 3 and 4 - at home no less - before tying the series at 3-3 with the first road loss from the Hornets in these playoffs. The final game was a wash, but i was expecting not to be in contention at all from the start.

With this team still having 2 seasons left to contend (and Childress on board or a full season) I expect a lot more to come ...

I'm still shocked at the Mavs exit. This team shold win title after title and goes out lke this. Amazing how the Blazers could have a finals spot facing the 7th, 6th and 5th seed in the playoffs ...

Hehe, its not a difficult task for you, its more difficult for me to stop you, it would be more difficult for me if it was Mavs, but you aint easy task either and honestly i think you'll advance to finals, i already cursed myself for gettings Suns in round1, but somehow i went trough, Jazz was easier opponent but i was afraid again, its easy to lose against much better team then worse. And well, this one scares me really, its gonna be FBB decided as season games didnt make much sense, our PG's were the same, i stopped Gatling in every game who's your best offensive player, you stopped Phelps every game who is mine, but your frontcourt and role players made difference in first 3 encounters, then last one we won after we got Chandler who definitely made us a better team over last few sims and we improved A LOT our season record since then, and in PO's, and he brought depth to our super weak frontcourt  so it should be interesting, even i give you advantage, you have more options and better offense, but hope dies last :)

It's not the first time my team let me down, almost got use to it so it wouldn't hurt so much.  It happended when I had Dirk too but the most painful part was my team lost in the first round two times as the #1 seed.

It's very very simple, im drunk so i have no idea what im writing, i mean i have, but i get lost quickly :P

That game 7 victory by the Cavs was sure impressive....

congratulations Wolves, and good luck in finals, i've tried with some tactic changes but it was just not enough to stop you, too much defensive power you had comparing to my team.

I was thinking about starting Chandler on KG 'cause Boozer sucked in regular season and did now again, that was one mistake i've made and also i tought about starting Buehler on Gatling but Clement did excellent job in all 4 encounters during regular season but obviously in playoffs he's not the same caliber, Gatling destroyed him, well at least now i know what i'll do next PO's if we meet again.

how about game 6 victory ? last 2 were really impressive, its gonna be very interesting finals.

Another good series with the Blazers.  Gatling and Garnett just keep on rolling.  And every game one or two of my role players step up and deliver a solid game.

Now onto the Cavs.  They are going to pose a huge challenge, but I'll do what I can to give my team the best chance to win.  Whatever happens, it should be a good series.

I am shocked. I was sure that I would lose the series after seeing that my team was down 2-0, and then again when it was 3-2. Those last two games were amazing, my team really came together to outplay the Hornets. The last four were played without Robinson, too. He's back now. Maybe I should bench him... :)
The Wolves will not be an easy matchup. Gatling is practically unstoppable, Garnett can still get the job done, and they have some other good players as well. Can the Cavs win it all? We shall see...

Why do we not set the schedule a day later because we never sim on the day it is set for?

It will be sim'd today.

We do the schedule the way it is because I work from 3 to midnight.  The day on the schedule is that day because if you get it in by 12 midnight that day, you are guaranteed to get your stuff in on time.  I could do the sim anytime between 1 am and 2 PM the following day, depending on my schedule.

schedule time is imo only for the gms so they know till when they have to post their dc.
What i am more concerned is the lack of posts here. i know that almost every gm is here at least every third day.
Most of us are part of this for almost 2 years and we all did a heck of a job to keep this league tough and competitive. But activity is at an alltime low at the moment. Maybe someone can tell me why?

Its been my experience that playoffs and the offseason are the most inactive periods in the sim because you have a lot of GMs who either a) arent involved at all or b) are very minimally involved.

Take me. I am just waiting on the lottery so I can work the trade lines, I couldnt care less who wins the title ;)

Champions at last. As this season went along, I knew my team was good, but I never expect to go all the way. The best part is, we should be competing for many more years with this group of guys. Feels great. By the way, you can just send the ring standard UPS shipping. There's no hurry...

congrats cavs. depth and incredible scoring punch from the sf position made the difference. MVP is a joke imo since robinson was clear the best player.
Sad to see KG possible retire after such a hall of fame career.
