Ask CelticsGM whatever you want about his team in this thread.

Already being a mediocre team and with several players on serious decline where do so you see yourself next season considering you don't have your own pick? ( :))

well, that's easy.

one word: DEDICATION.

reserve around 14 hours a day for sim league play, spend nights after nights in front of the monitor while risking your health and family life, and all the time LEARN, LEARN, LEARN.

sounds a lot like final exam week ... but is WAY more fun !!!

Whil I still DO have my own pick - you should fire your research department - I will answer this question in about 3 days. By then my team for next season should be complete and I know which direction I will go.

stay tuned ...

With couple of important players being retired, where do you see your team next season?

a couple?

Kwame Brown called it's quits and while he was a nice defensive C he's not exactly been the Yao-stopper himself (who is/was anyway?). So unless you count ancient Gasol as another "important" retiree I doubt I have lost too much here.

So unless Sampson and Strait suddenly can't play C anymore it's business as usual here.

On a sidenote: way worse are the guy(s) who did NOT retire ...
:-(

Man, my offseason is looking better and better.

Started off with Kwame and Gasol retiring, ripping away my complete C lineup.
And off course with Dirk NOT retiring, leaving my salaries at 82+ million, just 5.2m to the hard cap. And that with Perry still to resign.

And now ?

I got Perry back, signed Tsakalidis to MLE - who will at least replace the Gasol part, if not the Kwame part of last year - and I have held onto Dirk's 20mio expiring. Plus I'm still 3+ million away from the hard cap, nice for future options. And in the process I have reduced next year's salaries by 39 million bucks. It has cost me a future 1st, some talent (Vinnie, Tower, Trump) and around $500 cash, but i take that any time of the day.

And don't forget, I only had Childress for the final two sims last year, after aquiring him at the deadline, and went 19-6 with him in the lineup (inlcuding 11-2 in the reg season).

So this is going to be fun this year ... just not for Ivan, holding my pick !!!

What is up with Perry at small forward???

That's just for TC.
People develop differently at various positions. I'll explain later.

So, what to do with the rest of the season for my Celtics?

Any playoff run has pretty much become an afterthought once Tyler's knee gave up. With no 1st I might either continue trying to maximize the win total or give the young studs a tryout for next season already.

With Tyler, Wedge, Sidney and Maxi I hope for at least 2 more productive seasons, so SF/C and the backup positions are what's in limbo. Of course, assuming somebody doesn't break the bank for Tyler/Moncrief in the offseason ...

WHere do you see your team next year? I wouldn't mind that if you land me a lottery pick. :D

pretty much what happened

With Tyler, Wedge, Sidney and Maxi I had 1 more productive seasons, then somebody did break the bank for Moncrief in the offseason giving me a 1st, Embry and Barkley.

S orebuilding started ... and it all went south from there (not that i was very high in the north before) ...
