A 22yr old SG with B B scoring ratings that fits nicely into my youth movement for 4yrs starting at $3.75mil - I love it!

Got three players in day one of FA.  Resign Jeremy Palacio for 42,500,00 for 5 years.  Julio Shireman for MLE was a big get to help out at PG.  Donovon Schwartz was a project.

 0 of my extended offers were accepted....six teams with lotsa cap space left, alot of the cream of this market gobbled up already.

Lost a pair to free agency already (Bryce "no not that one" Marion and Carl Harpring). Hoped to resign Harpring on a later day  :bash:

Nice deals on Iba, and the other other Marion.

I pretty much filled my team with a bunch of PGs.  Now I have to sign a big with my LLE, and I'll be all set for another struggling season.

Oh my goodness.
5 years $42mio for a guy who'd hardly get MLE considerations.

Now the Mavs have a guaranteed payroll for next season of around $92mio already.
For 7 players.
With the hard cap dropping to $87mio.

Nice.

Will need a LOT of cash to buy out enough contracts to extend Tobey in 2019 ...

How you know that no one offer more than MLE to Palacio?  If you don't know the facts, don't make up numbers.  Yes, there's a great chance my team will go over the hard cap next year but who cares, I'm trying to win now.

Common sense?
Like the fact that nobody would overpay in the wake of the 87mio cap ?
:-)

and in exactly the same moment my eyes catch the new 2017 Bulls roster and widen in sheer excitement :

30mio, 4yrs for 30yr old 12ppg allstar Marion
18mio, 3yrs for 3.4ppg, 1.9apg Fabrizio
10mio, 2yrs for a 30yr old getting them 3.5/2.1 (my personal favourite)
18mio, 3yrs for 31yr old Fleisher (that's ok, btw)

So next season, starters Amare, Milner and Marion plus backups Fabrizio, Fee and Fleisher will make 65.5 mio.
nice.

There were comparable offers for Palacio.  There definitely were people offering more than the MLE>

Oscar Jeannette for the MLE is a nice pick up for me.

Fills a need in 2 respects, defense and depth at SG

I don't think the Mavs made such a bad decision resigning Palacio for that contract if he is able to get below the new salary cap. Even then, it may not be that bad.

I don't know what the Bulls were thinking when they signed Fee.

Other than that I don't really see any other questionable signings.

I am glad I got Trenton Lo back at a reasonable price because I really liked his sot blocking ability. Harpring is a good pickup for the LLE depending on how much he declines in TC. I got back Kundla for a pretty high price but I really could not afford to lose him. I did lose Sandy Carter to the Pistons which is a great pickup for them and he will really be missed.

Needed a solution to my PG problems and I managed to get a quick fix on a 1 year contract...  And yes, I know my team will still suck, but I don't have my pick next year so I need to make them as good as possible...  It is also looking like some of my expirings will come in handy with the Hard Cap looming...
