Title: Sim 12 Up
Post by: NetsGM on October 21, 2006, 10:36:54 PM
Yesterday I noticed a degraded Array in the drives.  When I looked at it last night, one of the drives had actually failed.  The drive was swapped, then the array rebuilt.  Long story short, you may have noticed the site down between 8 PM and 1 am last night, that was because of the work.  It's also the reason the sim wasn't done yesterday.

Playoffs start monday.  Good luck all.

A good 3-2 sim, considering some tough competition.  Ended the season winning 8 of 12 with the new guys.

Mehta 1st Team All SSBA and Defense for the 2nd straight year.  Carmelo was 3rd team, Gordon 2nd Team Defense.

Schenk played well these last two sims and Arenas's numbers didn't drop despite the backup role.

Looking forward to next year.  I apologize to those who have my picks this year for my late run :D

That came off as very genuine.
Damnit. :bods:
Anyway, 1-3. Mason Perry is an intriguing guy once he settles in and gets consistent. Morey might make a legit 6MOY candidate if he can get minutes at the 1-2-3, if he isn't starting for me next year. Macy did nothing special this sim, and seems to need some time/growth. Robertson ended up 6th in scoring, King made the 2nd rookie team, Zach led the world in shooting %.
Very happy with the status of my picks as it stands right now. I'm holding #6, one at somewhere between #7-9, #11, 20 or so, and now the 3rd or 4th pick of the 2nd round. Am looking to rebuild mostly through the draft with that depth, what with the FA market as it is...and should have some options to move up or around if there's a willing partner.

I was afraid of getting the 4th or 5th seed, not wanting to play the Hornets in the 2nd round(that is, if I win the 1st round). Luckily the Celtics slipped behind and the Magic had a complete breakdown, leading to a 3 way tie-breaker with the Raptors that I would win, placing me in 3rd. The Cavs finished wit a 51-31 record, the first 50 win season of our history, if I remember correctly. Berkowitz made the all-league 3rd team. No one on the team had 20 PPG scoring, but we didn't need that. There were great contributions from everyone, leading to a team that was 3rd in scoring, 1st in rebounding, 1st in assists, 1st in FG%, and that great record. Hopefully the great play can continue on into the playoffs and past the 1st round. First up: Boston...

No Hinrich for 30 days, The Grizz in the first round, whom i've never beaten in the playoffs,no home court advantage it really dosent look promising for me. But hopefully it will be an outstanding series, with former teammates in Lord and Pettit facing each other in the playoffs for the first time ever.good luch to all the playoff teams, should be a great group of 1st round games

Congrats to all those who made the playoffs and to a fun post-season.

With the 3rd worst record in the league, and holding the Sonics pick at 7th worst, hopefully the lottery is kind to me and I have a successfull offseason to progress toward post-season contention myself.

a nice 4-2 sim keogan went back to his scoring form... :D WOW....my big 3 is one of the best backcourt combo ever.... Shultz an all league first team and first all league defense team... vince keogan is in the 2nd all league team....harley khoury at the 3rd all league team...my big 3 is at their peak of their career... i would be disappointed if i dont make it into at least the eastern conference finals... with odom doing so well...and dalembert providing defense... i could smell possibly a championship  :D

Butler breaks his leg (and the Raptors' Championship aspirations) ironically against the Magic on day 119. Damn. Not a single Raptor on any regular season award list. Too bad.

First round matchup with the Magic and thankfully I don't have to deal with Dwight. Not sure what to think without Butler though. I could see this series going a long way.

What a crazy sim ...
*lol*

I came into sim 12 with 3 goals:
#1: stay healthy
mission accomplished, kind of. Dirk went down in game #1 and missed all but the last 2 games, but at least nobody is injured now for a change.

#2: either move to #3 or drop to #6, but avoid falling to 7th seed.
mission accomplished. that goal sounds crazy, but isn't. avoiding the Hornets for as long as possible is just logical thinking (i know i have to get there first, but why take the tough trail when there's an easier one). without Dirk it was pretty clear i wouldn't go to #3 so staying ahead of the Wiz is just great.

and should I get by the Cavs, let's see first who takes the Heat-Wiz series (with the Wiz destroying the Heat in the last matchup this sim, at MIA no less)

#3. play the magic.
failed. but barely. just ONE more damn win from the Dwight-less and I get my dream matchup ... and after they did well last sim without their star I didn't expect them to suck so badly this time going 2-5.

But hey, 2 out of 3 is fine with me.

went 4-2 not bad, our defense really good this sim, only Spurs scored over 100 the rest was below 92.
